Emails not arriving, after host made changes
I have the same type of issue. When a customer uses Paypal they used to get a receipt from the store and from paypal. Now they just get a receipt from paypal. Same goes for the store owner. I have Payments Pro installed with express checkout, the latest version of zen cart, all my settings have been double checked, I've used the IP test and my site is in debug mode. The curl files say success at the bottom. I don't understand. Please help!
Re: No confirmation email when using PayPal.
This is what's happening. My store is not seeing or sending emails all of a sudden. It stopped working yesterday. I installed the email archive feature and there are emails in there from when I turned it on. I asked my hosting company and they said that they didn't do anything to block it. They made some changes yesterday so that I could pass my pci scan but now the email doesn't work in the store. It works otherwise. I don't get it. Should I put in the ip address in instead of mail.smtp.net?
Re: Email not getting sent
I installed the email archive module and I see the emails in there but they aren't going out and my client isn't receiving them. I asked my hosting provider and they say it's not their fault. What could've happened over night to screw up my email on 2 stores?
Re: smtp email in v.1.3.8??
Did anyone get this to work because I am not able to receive emails either or send them as of today. I talked to my hosting company and no luck. Any suggestions? Please!

Correction: If the emails are in the Archive, then they ARE going out.
If they're not *arriving* at their intended destination, then one or more of the mailservers involved in carrying out the delivery (after it leaves your Zen Cart) are rejecting the messages.
There are many many many possible causes of emails being rejected during delivery, most of which are directly related to your domain configuration and hosting account setup.
Many of those are discussed here:

Maybe your hosting company's server has been blacklisted overnight for spamming?
Maybe something else changed by your hosting company has broken what was working yesterday.
Re: Emails not arriving, after host made PCI changes
I'm sorry. I'm just so frustrated. I won't do that again.
1. My hosting company made changes to 2 of my websites on the backend so that my pci scan could pass. I believe that they blocked ip's that Mcafee's scanners use. It was for MySQL Server Listener & Version Detection.
2. The emails haven't been going out or coming in that I can see. My client is not seeing them and either am I.
Thanks for helping! Have there been any issues with Host Gator? I'm talking to them but they don't see anything. I will try to dig deeper but this is a pain. I will look at those forums that you suggested again. I've looked at those so many times. I will keep you posted on this thread. Sorry again.
Re: Emails not arriving, after host made PCI changes
Ok. Just got off the phone with HG and they saw that there were changes to the firewall to prevent dark mailer scripts from connecting outbound to other servers on port 25 and that affected the way my store sends using smtp. They added my usernames to the smtp white list and all is well. Here I've been in a panic all day and it turned out to be something like this. I feel so much better. Thanks again and I hope that this helps someone out too!
Re: Emails not arriving, after host made PCI changes
Thanks for confirming that the "suddenly broken" problem was directly a result of changes your hosting company made to their server configurations.
