Order not showing except under IPN...

Hi all, I'm terribly confused by this, but after logging in to my site as a customer, I purchased a gift certificate successfully via paypal. I have a balance, and it shows I have a GV balance when selecting Admin->Customers->Customers , but the order is a ghost otherwise.

I can change the status via the Customers->Paypal IPN, and it reflects on the admin overview, but if I click on the status "pending" (which is where it should be and shows up as my only order), I get a blank screen... same goes if I change the status under paypal IPN to processing or update etc., but it doesn't show up on my order history. For example when viewing Admin->Customers->Orders...

I can successfully send an amount to another customer, and it shows under Admin->Gift Certificate/Coupons->Gift Certificate Sent.

Shouldn't the GV be showing as an order since an Order number was created? Is this normal or am I missing something?

Any thoughts on what could be causing this?

I suggest you sort *that* out first.
Search for "blank screen" in the FAQ area (link at top of page) for help.

eh, my bad on that one. Forgot "blank" screens were a hot issue. What I meant by that phrase was I see absolutely no orders on the order screen. For example, my GV is order number 1, as shown on the Paypal IPN page, but there is no such order on the "order" page...

The actual page is not blank, just the list of orders, where there should be that one order.

Also, after a few more tests, it seems to only be with payments that come from paypal exclusively. If it is split between GV amount and paypal, it will show in both locations. This is a fresh install of zen cart. I've tried with and without the PDT active, and haven't had this issue when I was testing on a subdomain on the same host... I'm lost...

My problem has migrated from being a Gift Certificate issue to an order issue it seems..

Basically all my orders that are strictly through paypal are showing up ONLY under the Paypal IPN report, and not at all under the traditional, sortable by customer report found by clicking Customers -> Orders.

I really wish to have that functionality back, and I'm unsure what is causing the orders to be filtered to only the IPN page. I had this set up before on a subdomain with my same host, and the orders would show up in the traditional place: Customers -> Orders.

This is a fresh install of version 1.3.8a.

Hoping this is a simple oversight; any help would be greatly appreciated.

I wish I could just destroy this thread due to my ignorance.

Apparently when Zen Cart is nice enough to leave me a bright yellow-highlighted warning at the top of my admin page telling me I can't test most payment and shipping modules while in... yep, maintenance mode... I should pay more attention.

Having the website in maintenance is what was causing my "issue."

I really have to learn to sleep at night so things like this don't get by me so easily.......... :oops:
