X Sell
Hello,
After installing the MOD X-sell I get the following error message.
'dvhome_zc1.products_xsell' doesn't exist
Also, from the admin when I click on Catalog > Cross sell products I get an error message that the link seems to be broken.
Any help would be appreciated on this.
Thanks,

Re: X Sell
Any time you install a mod and then see an error message that refers to something that 'doesn't exist' it's almost always the fact that you didn't run the SQL patch that came with the mod.
That mod has a pretty good installation instructions file.

Re: X Sell
Hello Steve,
I do agree with your statement. However, I did install the sql patch several times I even deleted the files it created in my PHPAdmin just to make sure it was not corrupted. However, for some reason it still didn't work. I am installing this MOD on a different site which I am having probelms with. On my own site there is no problem and it was installed a few months ago and it is working fine. But for some strange reason this mod is not working. I have even installed an earlier version of it just to see if there was anything different and still no luck.
Any other feedback would be appreciated.

Re: X Sell
Hello, Is anyone out there?
I am still struggling with this Cross Sell MOD. I have installed and reinstalled this and still get the error (dvhc/admin/xsell_products.php) - broken link, when I click on Catalog > Cross_Sell_Products. Any ideas why this is doing this? I have double checked my SQL Patch and all the files and they all seem to be working fine. Or NOT! Please help, "I have fallen and I can't get up!"

Re: X Sell
I wish I could help, but you're doing something wrong, I think.
I just installed this mod on a test site. I did the following:
Unzipped the mod.
Changed the name of the 'admin' folder to my custom admin folder name.
Changed the three YOUR_TEMPLATE folders in the mod to the name of my custom template.
Dragged and dropped the MYADMINNAME folder and the includes folder to the root of my site.
Opened the products_xsell.sql file in my text editor and copied it to the clipboard.
Pasted the clipboard contents to the box in Admin - Tools - Install SQL Patches and clicked Send.
Everything works as advertised.

Re: X Sell
Hi Steve,
Thank you for the reply. I have tried different version of this and I am getting all the same result. I have installed this on my primary site and it is working fine. This is a friend of mine site and I have installed other MOD, like super orders, and such and everthing works fine. This particular MOD Cross Sell is giving me a heck of a time. I have completely removed all files and cleaned up the SQL via my CPanel and so on. I reinstalled it again. But the same result. I am a very new to zen cart but I have installed many many mods and none of them given me such a headache. I will re-trace my steps again.
Thank you.
P.S. Which version did you just install on your test site?

Re: X Sell
This one:
http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...products_id=76
The test site in question has few other mods installed. Maybe this mod is conflicting with a different mod already installed ? Many times two mods will modify the same file and cause problems, although if the file existed your FTP program should have asked you about overwriting.

Re: X Sell
I have a suspicion about one thing. They are currently working on a temp URL while they are building this site. The temp URL is as follow:
http://174.121.33.162/~dvhome/dvhc/index.php?main_page= . Do you think this is the reason that the Cross Sell Mod is not working? I would be interested in your answer.
Thanks,

Re: X Sell
Possible, I guess, but I wouldn't think so.
Are you still getting error messages, or is the mod just not working?

Re: X Sell
Hi,
The MOD is not working. When I click on Catalog > Cross Sell Products I get the following page.
http://174.121.33.162/~dvhome/dvhc/a...l_products.php
