Allowing UTM_SOURCE Tracking Links?
Hi Gang!
I've setup a mailChimp account and I checked the URLs from the newsletter email to be Google Analytics trackable. However when I try to click on a link in the email that points to one of my products, I get a:
The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
Talked with the mailChimp support and they said that I need to have my zencart coded to allow the tracking variables in the links (utm_source=, utm_campaign=, utm_medium=)
Anyone has a clue where I should start?
Thanks!
Gabstero.
Re: Allowing UTM_SOURCE Tracking Links?
Do you have some sort of SEO URL module installed. If so I think that's your problem.
We had the same issue using SSU. Had to upgrade to the latest version. (found on github..)
Btw you can add keys to exclude (UTM_Source etc) via configuration - > Simple SEO URL's
That's if you have SSU installed.. if not.. sorry can't help.

Re: Allowing UTM_SOURCE Tracking Links?
Ok I installed the latest version (3.5.8).
Not sure if it installed correctly since in the Module Manager I have it listed as:
yellow1912_ssu 13 Beta 3.6.2
I other words I had the latest version installed already?
thanks anyway.

Re: Allowing UTM_SOURCE Tracking Links?
Sorry to bug you ---
But in the Query Key Exclude List should I add:
"utm_source=,utm_campaign=,utm_medium="
thanks,

Re: Allowing UTM_SOURCE Tracking Links?
The latest version is 3.8.8 apparently. You can get it here:
github.com/yellow1912/simple-seo-url
Don't use the equal signs.. You should add:
utm_source,utm_campaign,utm_medium,utm_content,utm_term
