Shipping or Handling fee assigned by product

Does Zen allow to charge a separate handling or shipping fee assigned by product, that appears in the total shipping amount in the shopping cart?

I have vendors that charge different dropshop fees for different items. I want to be able to add those fees into the shipping amount at checkout and not have them viewable as a separate charge. Therefore, the customer only will see a total shipping cost.

I do not want to add it into the price, because it screws up our internal information.

Can this be done?

Apparently ZenCart and the many wonderful contributors to it, have not created such a module.

OS Commerce does have a module that allows the store admin to enter shipping charges on a per item basis, or use a mixture of the default settings on some items and per item shipping on others.

I keep looking for such an option here, but it never happens. If I can figure out how to adapt the OS Commerce module to work with ZenCart then one of my biggest headaches will have been resolved!
