Hide Categories and show only for specific groups

Hello,

I am trying to solve a problem. I have several different categories and i have one that i need to hide completely unless the customer logs in and is part of a specific 'Group'.

I have installed Hide categories which works great except i can't allow it to show for just one group.

I tried installing the dual pricing and hidden wholesale modules but they didn't work for me! :no:

Does anyone out there have a mod that will work? I have searched the forum and several people have asked for it but i haven't found a solution. I am willing to try and hack it but i have no idea where to start!!

It looks like the Hidden Wholesale mod does just that. What do you mean 'it didn't work' ? Did you post in the support thread ?

I tried the dual pricing and hidden wholesale but...
The products still show up in the search, best sellers, new products etc and the category is still visible in categories...:no:

I currently have the hide category installed on my live site so i was trying to figure an easy adaption to allow it to show certain users the hidden products!

I couldn't see anything in the support thread that answered those questions but maybe i didn't look hard enough.......

OK i installed hidden wholesale, dual pricing and hide Categories

now it all works but i have a few small issues! as posted below

2) is there anyway to block non wholesale customers from using a direct link to open a product. (similar to the block you get if it is disabled in admin??)
