Paypal Express Checkout requires phone number?
I'm new to zencart and I have searched through the FAQs and forums and can't find a great answer to this, maybe it's too simple of a question. I am using paypal express checkout and regardless of what I configure in my paypal preferences, the telephone number is always required for credit card transactions. The paypal customer service guy seemed confused but indicated that he thought the phone number was always required for express checkout. Does express checkout really require the phone number all the time? If so have other users seen a negative impact on conversion rates?

Requiring the phone number is a setting in your PayPal account, you can turn it off.

Supposedly (not sure if this is from the "new" or old style screen. I know that from my mobile device I didn't see the expected links.) the following would be performed:
To require a phone number of a customer who checks out with Paypal:
Sign in to your PayPal account.
Click the Profile icon at the top right.
Click Profile and settings.
Click My Selling Tools or My Selling Preferences under My Profile on the left.
Note: This button might differ depending on your PayPal account.
Click Update next to Website preferences.
Scroll down to the Contact Telephone Number section.
Select On (Required Field).
Click Save.
