Define Pages Editor not editing overriden pages
Hi all,
I've seen this problem reported before but the proposed solutions have been of no help, so I'm posting our issue.
We're using a custom template, but the define pages editor is opening the non-overriden files.
For example, it would edit zencart/includes/languages/english/html_includes/define_shipping_policy.php
instead of zencart/includes/languages/english/html_includes/theme041/define_shipping_policy.php
The template directory exists and the files there are in use (if I change them manually through ftp/ssh, the changes are reflected on the site).
Why is the editor ignoring them?
The file permissions for the overriden files is the same as the original ones and the dir perms are 755.
The editor does point out that:
Quote:
Note: you should always edit the files located in your current template override directory, Example: /languages/english/html_includes/theme041
Be sure to make backups after changing your files.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Re: Define Pages Editor not editing overriden pages
One idea would be for you to provide a link to your site (mysite_dot_com would work) so we can see what pages we're seeing. It's possible your Template Monster template has messed something up.

Yes... this is the most likely scenario. These TM templates are a nightmare. Best to NEVER use TM stuff...
