1-Click Mediatemple.net installer Log in issues

I used the 1-click installer from media temple to set up the zen cart. After setting up it up I tried to log in with the user name ans password i set up and it didn't work.

I searched for about 3 hours and found the site that shows you how how to manually change it to the Admin ; admin set up. This also didn't work.

I found another article that said to check the admin_activity_log where it says, "Log found to be empty. Logging started."

I have no idea why this thing isn't working. I have watched at least 20 tutorials and they all seem to work just fine.

I am not a coder. I can do some basic html and I can somewhat find my way around the MYPHPADMIN page, but usually it is luck driven. Any help in getting this thing set up would be great. I have put in over 7 hours today trying to get this thing to work from a plug and play :-/

My first suggestion would be to delete the installation you have now and install Zencart manually. That will at least remove the auto-installer from the list of possible problems.

I have been trying to do it manually, but I can't seem to get the database to connect that way. Clearly I am on the struggle bus. I tried every database and connection I could think of, even the one it is suppose to be going to.

You could go to the trouble of posting all the details of your configure.php files and hide the sensitive data like the username, password etc. Or you could live chat/PM/Email the details and I could help you out :)

Sometimes learning involves hands on guidance from the pros... and it saves time.

Update, the site is now working :)

The 1 click installer caused the problem... many problems.

It all got scrapped and a new v1.51 was manually installed.

The problem is now fixed! Thanks TWITCHTOO! You are awesome and I really appreciate all the help you gave me!
