Paypal express not redirecting to paypal

That is what happens instead of going to paypal. I uploaded all the files for paypal again to make sure I have the most recent files on this 1.5.5f site. Looks like that is the google ip address. I can't imagine what could be causing this.

I did change that incontext setting to old but it happened with it both ways. This happens with the express button and going all the way to the zencart payment page.

This is on php 7.1.17 and a server that is running a type of php which has give us unknown problems before.

Perhaps some of the fixes for 7.1 might help.

aha! Thanks for showing me what should have been obvious before! I will report back if anything fixes this particular problem.

um, well, I think reverting back to 1.5.6 might be easier. I'll request that and see if that fixes this problem now.

Might try 7.0 as well. Don't remember any problems with 1.5.5f and 7.0

If okay in 5.6, try 7.0. No go in 7.0 would make me look at the mods.

Well, not the php version. Back to the drawing board.

Solution: when I uploaded the paypal files again I forgot to upload the ipn file in the root. Turns out someone had uploaded/edited that file about a week ago and mangled it. Grrrr.....

That someone guy is probably the most guilty person in the world.:P
