Blank box at top of mobile and tablet
I’m back to using the responsive template but that also returned the blank square box between the search bar and title bars.
If I hold my finger on it, it shows the http path to my site and gives me options to open in a new window and other options.
Please see attached.
What file controls that as I don’t seem to have that issue on my desktop.
Re: Blank box at top of mobile and tablet
You have incorrectly edited the file containing the name of the logo.gif. The browser is trying to leave room for the HEADER_LOGO_IMAGE but is not getting the correct define. That's why a look at the inspect for your main page shows the image source for the logo to be
Code:
<img src="includes/templates/template_default/images/HEADER_LOGO_IMAGE" alt="" width="500px" height="12px">
As the mobile version cannot see an image, it makes sure to leave room if a logo.gif ever shows up. Thus the blank box.

What’s the name of that file again plz?
Can I “comment” that line by adding “//“ in front until I figure out what picture I’m going to use, if any?
Re: Blank box at top of mobile and tablet
Using the Admin >> Tools >> Developers Tool Kit you can
- scroll to the bottom
- In the block labeled "Enter search phrase or pattern", type HEADER_LOGO_IMAGE
- Click on search and concern yourself ONLY with the files that have a listing of define('HEADER.......
You'll find that one of the files has the define listed on two lines (27 and 32). That is incorrect. Someone has added at least two lines to that file. It should stop at 30.
Since many pieces of the header are not showing, I'd venture a guess that the file is pretty messed up. I'd start by replacing the file with one from the original 1.5.5f. AND, there should be a folder under includes/lnaguages/english/ called responsive_classic with files in it. (probably why you have mobile/tablet heading on a desktop.)

I believe it might be best to thoroughly investigate situations before jumping on your horse and riding madly off in all directions.
To boldly go where no man has gone before might be nice for Kirk and the Enterprise, but they had absolute control of the replicators.:P

I’m using Google and it does it there also.
I’m going to look for the header file like dbltoe suggested.
Thanks
