New Products Pagination? Why's it not happening?

Not sure if this is the appropriate zen-cart forum/category. What's up with New Products not having next/prev page etc... 1 2 3 ?

I've been messing w/ the dynamic filter plug-in. Seems like a js solution might be better... anyway...?

I've been all through split_pages_results.php trying to figure out what's going on. I'm reaching my ROI on time invested about thinking of bailing ship on this feature.

seems like tpl_modules_products_new_listing.php might have something to do w/ it?

Main question: why is there not a pager for new products? is there supposed to be? Seem like my files match github pretty closely? Aside from the view all mod.

New Products in 1.5.6c with the Responsive Classic template has pagination, so if you switch back to that template, you should be able to see it.
