customers names missing in new orders in admin......
Today I was informed by a customer that she changed her shipping address and got confirmation that it was updated however when she received her receipt it still contained her old shipping address. I went into admin and confirmed that her new address had been added to her account but it had not been updated in her confirmation email. I also noticed that the new orders coming in do not have the customers names attached to the orders in the admin section. The date & amounts are correct, the order number is correct - and all the information regarding the order (which successfully completes thru paypal), and even the confirmation emails contain all the info about the customer - but in admin the "new order" section is minus the customers name. I have checked the database and the customers names are entered - so I'm really at a loss. Any help trying to find out what is wrong would be greatly appreciated.

The database puts the customer's info into and order and, from then on, all is tracked by the order ID NOT The customer info.
You will need to edit the order to change any customer information that changed after the oreder was placed.
I would recommend lat9s Edit Orders to do what you need to do.
Re: customers names missing in new orders in admin......
Thanks for the information. I will go in and edit them as recommended however after just viewing the database again I am seeing that the "customer" fields in the orders are empty but the billing and shipping fields have the customer info in them. I was looking at the wrong table before. I was looking at the customer table rater than the order table. I'm a little confused that if the customer information was entered and correct why wouldn't it be displayed in the orders?

She has to change her *default* shipping address, or select a new address at checkout every time. You might even recommend deleting the old address to prevent confusion.
