I noticed when people checkout, the cart says like:
Items: $30
Shipping: $8
Subtotal: $38
Total: $40
But there's no tax line so the numbers just don't add up and nothing to tell the customer that the diff. is the tax
Can this be enabled so it looks more like this:
Items: $30
Shipping: $8
Tax: $2
Subtotal: $38
Total: $40
Need more details to be able to assist. The question really is why does your store not operate normally? A reason is because it is not setup like a default store, but we don't know how it is different. It's even possible that it is 100% a default store and the store was closed wrong. Yet again not enough info.
Please revisit the posting tips to give more info.
I'm confused by your confusion... I thought the question was straight-forward, Products are listed as taxable goods, the tax rate is 5.7%
That is being added to the checkout total, but there's no line in the checkout that says Tax: and that amount so all the customer sees is that the total does not match what the products + shipping total up to... the tax is a hidden added amount, and I'm just asking how to make the tax actually display on its own line in checkout.
A screenshot of the admin's Modules :: Order Totals (without the file-system location) would help identifying the source of the issue. In particular that Items entry is not a built-in Zen Cart one.Quote:
