Best sellers, and featured products not displaying on main page

I just installed 2.0 in a separate directory, merged my previous database with the new one, and am in the process of making sure everything works before switching my main page over, and both the featured products, and the best sellers boxes do not display at all. I am not sure if filezilla missed a file, I messed something up, or this is a bug. Here is what's in the log file:

filezilla never misses anything. it only does what you tell it.

v2.0.0 is well vetted, and a gross bug like this would have been caught. less gross bugs are no doubt out there.

from the looks of it, the database has not been properly updated.

i would look to update the database again.

That was it. Ran the 2.0 sql, and it fixed that issue.

Missed something in the posting information requested by the posting tips. This may or may not be the full solution. From what version was the store being upgraded? If from 1.5.8, then yes only the 2.0.0 upgrade script was needed, but when going from major version to major version the zc_install process is highly advised.
