Replacing an image, the easy way
I have some images that need to be updated. I was told, in the past that I could just replace the old file by a new one with the same name, and it would work as simply as that. However, I notice that it is not replacing all the instances of that image.
As an example, check the bottom image on this page.
The preview is light blue. That is the "new" preview. However, when you click on it, in the product description, it is still a dark preview (the previous one).
In addition, if you look at the reviews, it also uses the previous, dark preview.
Am I missing a step to get to replace old previews with new ones?

I am not sure what you mean by dark preview, every thing I looked at in your links was light blue.
Perhaps it is just your browser that kept the old image in cache or some ZC cache or plugin like Image Handler that caches images. In this case, just clear the cache.
