Product Price Manager - Qty Discount - Preview

In Zen Cart 1.3.7 (no modifications of admin) Qty Discount always shows discounted price calculated based on the product price, even when "special" is selected.

The calculations in the actual shopping cart are correct though.

I am attaching a screen shot of Product Price Manager and the Shopping Cart showing you a fictitious product "Wits" (trust me, if I had any I would not settle for such a low price:lol: ).

Yes, I do understand about the need to hit "edit" and then "update" in the price manager, and I do understand about updating the cart itself.


While this feature is not critical, I am sure it annoys and confuses the hell out of non-technical Zen Cart users.

That's exactly my point. I use the Discount Priced from: and I do get the correct results in the shopping cart. The only place where the numbers are not right is in the Product Price Manager itself.

You have a $5.00 Product on Special for $2.00 ...

You have the Discount as $1.00 off the Special Price on quantity 3+

$2.00 - $1.00 is $1.00 * 3 = $3.00
$2.00 - $1.00 is $1.00 * 6 = $6.00

That is how you have it setup and that is how it is calculating ... :smile:

Eh... you are right and I am right. (although you had me very worried about my math skills for a minute :shocking:) The numbers you quote are from the shopping cart, right? Those are fine.

But the numbers in the Price Manager are calculated

$5.00 - $1.00 is $4.00 * 3 = $12.00 even though "Discount priced from Special" is selected. See the attached screen shot.
