Shipping Query

Hi

Rather than searching high and low myself, I'm hoping that an experienced Zenner will be able to save me some valuable time in advising me if the following is possible??

The first category of products on my cart require (if possible) the following configuration... 1-3 products shipping cost = £2.49, 4-6 products shipping cost = £4.98, 7-9 products shipping cost = £7.47, etc. Basically, products shipped in 3's at £2.49 per 3. This config will be for 1 category of products.. cats to be added later will have different shipping requirements - something I need not worry about right now but need to know if this is possible.

This is my first time using Zen so without more searching (enough of which I have done today!) I have no idea if the above is possible? Could somebody please advise if this is.. and point me in the right direction to set this configuration??

You would be best designing a custom shipping module that addresses shipping by category ...

While this does require quite a bit of coding and thought, it is not difficult to do ... just time consuming to write ...
