Modding an xampp cart - how?

I'm taking over a zen cart remotely hosted on an xampp cart.
I've created a cart on my local machine using xampp, and have apache and mysql running sweetly.
I want to download from the remote host to my machine.
I've downloaded all I can think of, but of course it's not that easy - or is it.
My strength is in css, and I've workede out what mods I need on the basic format cart and am ready to work on the new one.What I need is the populated database, apache and mysql recognising it, and the modified cart.


Please can anyone tell me what I need to do?

Nearly there, but right at the end of the wiki, there's item 6, which I can't seem to grasp.
I've downloaded fix_cache_key.php but can't work out where to load it/how to run it.
