Big Error On My Part....**help Needed Urgently Please**

Hi Guys,

Right once again I have managed to make a big BOO BOO on my site and caused part of it to vanish.

Please feel free to have a look at the site. www.canvas101.co.uk

I wanted to make some changes to the main home page so I went ahead and started to edit the following file;

tpl_header.php

All i wanted to do was add some text that I wanted running just above my banner. I downloaded the original file and saved it to keep it safe and the proceeded to make the changes to the above file. I replaced the files back in it riginal location, hit refresh and thought my changes would have taken place....For some reason I seem to have lost my new banner and navigation bar.....

I really dont know what i have done wrong. I know have a error on my page. i tried to resolve the probem by putting the orignal tpl_header_php file back but thsi didnt work it either.

Here is the original file.




* example: to override the privacy page
* make a directory /templates/my_template/privacy
* copy /templates/templates_defaults/common/tpl_footer.php to /templates/my_template/privacy/tpl_header.php
* to override the global settings and turn off the footer un-comment the following line:

The original banner was like the one above i faded in 8 times and have a nice navigation with the lins shown below.

Please could someone have a look and see what I;m doing wrong.....

There are times and for various reasons, uploading a changed file will not show the changes. If that happens it is easiest to DELETE the current file then upload the changed file. Then refresh the page within your Browser to see if changes are showing.

I understand what you are saying, about files not always displaying. I have deleted the old file from the server then uploaded the one shown above in the post....But again for some bizarre reason it will not display.

Are you able to advice by I am seeing the zen cart logo on my homepage and not my banner like i should be seeing?

There are coding errors in your FORM code.

Is this a Custom Template? Reason I ask is I noticed the coding is not default coding for the FORM and there is mention of your Hoster on the bottom of your pages.

Yes this is a custom template buddy....It was actually working perfectly till i started messing around wih it. Is it possible to email you the file to have a look at? I'm in a bit of a pickle here as we are on public holiday here in the UK and cant even ring the firm who created it.
