Hello everyone :smile: I am happy to announce the release of my seventh free template to the zen cart community.

I'm already testing on http://www.prom-mart.com/ and may bring over to main site.
One thing: I disabled the twitter & facebook pic url's in footer (leaving the pics), as I don't yet have any. But in this case, even taking out all the url, when place cursor over pic url shows mysite/blingthemes. Then goes to zc's page not found.
Problem?
Didn't do that on all business template.

That is really weird since I do not have "blingthemes" anywhere in the template code? If you want to disable these links you should go to:
includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/apparel_boutique/footer_menu_defines.php and take out what is between the single quotes for the define twitter and facebook statements:

Hi, that's what I did:

But it still went to blingthemes.
In fact, I just uploaded your original with your twitter/facebook urls and it still shows blingthemes. Even in another browser Firefox.
I know you don't have blingthemes anywhere, but I tested their Estorenow template not long ago. Somehow, somewhere, I'm kinda cross-overed? Looks like I cannot even put my url when I get one.
Unless some browser cache thing...?
I still have some estorenow files on server from testing, I probably should delete those and all templates I'm no longer interested in.

Fixed. It was a dangling general Estorenow file in includes/extra_configures file.

Anne, I'm pretty certain I'll be using this new nice template on main site.
Just ran it through validator: http://validator.w3.org/
Homepage and category pages come up Green OK.
Only one red error on Product pages, apparently with the new social stuff:

Assume not a big issue so I'm going to work on a nice new logo...the most important and IMO usually only appearance mod one should need with such nice templates coming out*.

is it possible to change this websites width ?
Excuse my stupidity, i am just coming from the stone age and am trying to learn how to make the website that i really want and seeing this website, i want this site`on with a few customizations.
is it possible to change this websites width ?
I am sure you can change the color of the upper menu bar and add a flyout menu,which i'm trying to figure out in the coming time, but can you increase the width too? is there a reason all sites are a bit narrow?

In short, yes there is a reason for this size. But your call as to what school to follow.

thanyou sph. It was indeed very clear. But i would think this problem is just about solved in many developed countries, since almost all people have a decent monitor.........then again i could be wrong since i am just starting to understand these things :blush:

You're welcome. Last night when I wrote this I did it on my laptop which is I think 1024x768 resolution. My site template filled up the monitor nicely, as the 950px stylesheet width will at this resolution.
Now, back on my desktop at 1680x1050 resolution, my site definitely has whitespace on each side. But not horribly narrow...perhaps your monitor resolution is even higher.
1024x768 is still a very popular resolution. Perhaps in a few years it will go the way of 800x600 and less templates will be designed for it (so no horizontal scroll bar.)
You should be able to change your monitor resolution, you might try it to see how your site changes.

wow sph, i tried it with different resolutions and there is a big difference. Though the sites which normally fill my screen were still filling my screen at low resolution but didnt look as appealing.

Yes, it seems that (and depending upon resolution/monitor) our choices are fixed width with the possibility of whitespace along the sides, or 100%/fluid width with the possibility of whitespace WITHIN our site, with things becoming spread out.

For the free templates I always start from scratch, or from another one of my free template packages.

Anne, today I switched to having subcategories and also learned how to keep the subcats always open if I choose.

I got a problem here and I have been trying to fix this for a week.. Can you help?
In my sidebox, my About Us link is wrongly pointing to an invalid site: /index.php?main_page=FILENAME_ABOUT_US
It should be: /index.php?main_page=about_us
Thus, it's going to Page Not Found page.
I have manually going to /index.php?main_page=about_us and this page exists.
How can I correct this? I have been trying to fix this but I couldn't find a solution.. :blush:

This is something that I fixed in the update that is pending approval. You need to move the file about_us_filenames.php from includes/extra_definitions to includes/extra_datafiles.

Thank you for a great template. All is working great except for when one clicks on "Home" tab it brings us to a page that gives us the following:
Directory Listing Denied
This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed.
How do we fix this? Our store is not in the root directory but is a subfolder.

Post a link to your site so that I can take a look. This is not a problem with the template, but may be a problem with your store configuration.

This is happening because of how you have something configured on your server. Your server is not set up to find a default document i.e. index.php. It has nothing to do with the template.

I have downloaded the all business template and would like to try this new one as well.
I am new but learning. May I ask what the name of the add-on in your templates which allows a customer to choose style options for a product? All the templates I've ever tried do not come with this option.

If you are using a language other than english, then you have to copy all of the override english files to the language that you are using.

i have figure out the about us page problems. looks like there is a file missing when i upload the template.

Why my footer is messed up... Am I missing files?
And WHERE do I put the 'about_us' page. Can it be defined in the page editor?

Make sure that Footer "Yes" is checked and "Order:" is designated.
The first 5 pages marked for the footer will show in the footer menu.
When I do this, I still get "QUICKLINKSINFORMATIONCUSTOMER_SERVICEIMPORTANTIMPORTANT_END" Across the bottom of the page. Am I missing a file/definition, on not properly understanding the directions? Thank you for any help you can offer,

Check to make sure that all template package files are in the correct place and that they are all there.

the browser show:
2006 MySQL server has gone away
in:

I'm learning how to do this stuff, so please bare with me.
I need help with my side bar. The font is large and I would like it smaller, how do I fix this. And also, at the top the menu bar how can I add a link to my blog? Thank you for your help.

Your font size looks fine to me. Perhaps you have it set large in your browser?
I would not recommend adding any links to the top navigation as when someone logs in additional links will appear and there will not be enough space.

I dont quite sure what is going on as there is no listing of my products in my page at all. I tried to switch to the classic green zen cart template but it's working okay. Can you help me? :(

This means that you already had this module installed in your cart. Delete the module files that you uploaded (assuming that you have properly used the override system) and all should work again since the classic template is working.

Yen_JS----This is an error from the admin that you are getting. This error is telling you that there is an error in your admin/functions file.

Oh my God. I'm gonna faint if this does not work. I had doubt if I could have ruined my system if 2 files were totally removed. It's my fault for not believing in you. What was I been thinking? Hi Anne,
Is it possible to have the images for the 'slide show' come from the default images folder? I have a user who can't use FTP, and I have them uploading with ImageHandler2 for placing products/changing graphics. Thank you for any help you can offer, I love the template.

I'm using the dreaded Go Daddy hosting and of course I'm having difficulty making this template register on my site. The fact that I'm completely new at this, I'm sure doesn't help either.
What am I supposed to be doing to make it work correctly. I followed the directions and tried to upload it in the file manager. Still nothing, can you fill me in on a step that I am probably missing or not doing right.

Right sidebox is fixed now.. and now I only have the question, how to change the link to the slider on the homepage? and I want to create some more pages link on the header as well. don't know how. thanks, anne

Hi Anne, my product listing went empty and you had helped me to solve my problem last week where I had to remove the product_listing.php from modules/Apparel_Boutique folder.
I notice your new update of this template has been installed with Column Divider Pro. Since removing product_listing.php from modules/Apparel_Boutique , the product listing went back as Row listing. Any advise if I want to fix this back as Colum Divider Pro? I've tried to fix this default file (product_listing.php) at includes/modules but it does not seem to work at all.

With further editing to the site I've come across a problem with having more than 1 picture for 1 product.

This is not a problem with the template--it is the default behaviour of the zen cart product info page. You can move things around by editing the tpl_product_info_display.php file.

Slide Show Not Working
Hi, thanks for your beautiful apparel_boutique template!! It's just beautiful, clean, and perfect!!
My question regards the slide show that is to appear on the home page. I've uploaded my images to the /includes/templates/apparel_boutique/images folder. For simplicity sake, I named my images to match what you had already defined in the 'define_main_page.php' page, i.e., slide1.jpg, slide2.jpg, etc. All images are the same height and width as you had defined as well.
Next, I defined the URLs in the 'define_main_page.php' to be 'www.mysite.com/catalogfolder' (not the actual "live" path, but didn't want to post that on here), but that's the path example.
Saved all, refreshed the site in my browser, but the slide show still doesn't appear. The only thing I've done differently that your instructions, were I just uploaded only two images to test the slide show out, before creating the actual images I'll use 'live.'
Any assistance you can provide is much appreciated. I'm sure I'm overlooking some minor detail.

I've found the descrepances and no matter what - if I delete or even add new items - the counters are not being updated but the db entries are. I'm confused and don't why this is happening.

The error message you have posted has nothing to do with the template package. You can do a search for your error to see if you can find help. The error is not related to the template since the /general.php file was not touched or included in the template package.
