I finally got attributes to add to the cart with the right price when logged in as wholesale customer or retail. :clap:
I followed all the steps on post #687
As Twitch suggested I changed all variables:
- customer_whole
- customer_wholesale and
- customers_whole
to only 'customers_wholesale'.
Then I only added two small bits of code to shopping_cart.php.
It can be found /includes/classes/shopping_cart.php

The first code will adjust the sub total in the cart to match the wholesale pricing. The second will make the actually price match the wholesale price. If you have other discounts applied like coupons or sales you will have modify the codes similar to what I have done. I'm not using any discounts so this works for me. The above logic is from edingtoncollection and tells the system to ignore the sales price when logged in. I am trying to do the opposite. I want it to ignore the sales price when NOT logged in and to apply the sales price when logged in. I am still struggling to make this happen. I thought it would have been as simple as changing != '0' to ='0' but that did not work. Can someone offer some assitance?Quote:

If it's not listed, then it's not compatible.. and like nearly all Zen Cart modules there WILL be changes required to get any mod to work with v1.5. What changes are required will vary from mod to mod..Quote:

I also noticed that JTheed took the time to synch up the Dual Pricing and Hidden Wholesale modules to use a common codebase. Will the Zen Cart v1.5 updates being worked on for Dual Pricing be doing the same thing (or better yet combining these features into ONE module)?? Hidden Wholesale is just as important as Dual Pricing.. I have a client who needs to set wholesale and retail pricing for her consultants as well as offering "wholesale only" products that retail customers will not be able to see (and she doesn't want to create a special category JUST for these products)..
I am testing out Dual Pricing and Hidden Wholesale on a test site, using ZC 1.5. I have read the strings above about compatability with V1.5, and it seems that it is ok to use if I do not use attribute pricing and sales pricing. Is that true? Since I do not plan to use either of these features, and since it seems to work fine on my 1.5 test site, I am thinking I am ok to install it.
Any thoughts?
Short answer is no.. Zen Cart v1.5 made MANY security changes, and ALL add-ons will have to be reviewed and updated so that they not only work, but work correctly a without compromising the new security features.. Personally I will NOT use any add-on on a client production store that has not been properly updated.:no:Quote:

I just figured it out, just a mistake on my end, but an easy one to make. I was editing the functions_prices.php file in the /admin/ section, when I should have been editing it in the /catalog/ section. I actually edited both files, I'm not sure if that was the right thing to do, but it seems to be working.Quote:

Just as an add on for this module to show prices without VAT / TAX. If you want you can install the module "Include and Exclude Tax in Prices (Nett/Gross)" from the free add ons section. It adds an sidebox where inc. or exc. VAT prices display can be selected.
The shoppingcard can be edited to show all prices with or without VAT, it's explained in the readme.txt file.
For me it didn't work for version 1.5, version 1.3.9h works just fine.

I have a build your own kit where the price of the kit is determined by the cost of the individual attribute, but I cannot enter two prices into the attribute field. It just resets to the defaul retail I put in. i.e. Retail,Wholesale (19.00,10.85), only the 19.00 comes up when I hit update.
Any help is appreciated.

Normally when you add the wholesale price to a individual product, under Categories / Products - "your product", there is a Retail/Wholesale price collumn. This is not the case for the attributes. I enter the attribute prices like this without the quotes "19.00,10.85" and it defaults to the 19.00 every time.
Did I completely miss something in my edits? I thought I had everything. I also used the admin/attributes_controller.php file from this post to correct the issue where I would add a price to an attribute and it would take me back to the admin home page.

I just deleted out the files I have been editing, went back with a fresh copy of all the files and did everything over again from scratch to make sure I didn't miss anything. Other than that, it was a clean install of version DP 1.8 onto Zencart 1.3.9h.
This is a great mod, thank you so much. Now if I can get attributes to work, I'm golden.

I'm also looking to add this module to ZC v 1.3.9h for a client. I understand that group pricing doesn't work with this. However, I am using Purchase Order Basic which requires a name starting with PO_ in the group pricing. Since I'm not using the Group pricing for discounts, any reason why this Dual Pricing would not work together with Purchase Order Basic?

The addon "include_and_exclude_tax_in_prices_nettgross_1-23a" was made for 1.3.9 and works in my 1.5.0 site as you can see here.
Only one file was needed to merge. Use WinMerge and make the adjustment. Easy.
So does anyone have the attributes working with this mod in V1.3.9?

Besides a few syntax issues in the shoping_cart.php file and customers.php, my server didn't like the lines that were commented out saying // begin dual price edit 5 of 6.
I took those commented lines out completely and so far everything works fine with zen 1.5, but I am still having issues with price by attribute. I don't get why it won't work for me.
I create my option name "Size". Then I go to Option Value and add in my sizes. 1", 1.5", etc... Then I go to Attribute controller and pick the product I want to be priced by attribute, then go to the box that says "Option Name", pick my "Option values" and insert it.
Once it is inserted, I click the edit button for the option I want to add the price too. Under "Prices and weights" I go to the "Price" box and enter in my retail and wholesale price in that box like so (5.00,2.50) and hit the update button. And every time it only shows me the prefix-price to be "5.000". And I see no prices when logged in as a wholesale person, and no price adjustments. Am I completely missing something with this.
If I don't care about the wholesale price, it works perfectly for adding a drop down menu for adding in extra parts to a item. But I just can't seem to figure out why the wholesale side will no display. And this only effects attributes. I can see wholesale prices when I set it in the product page itself.
Any help is apreciated.

Forgot to mention; the error actually occurs on this page;

I have the wholesale/retail price shownig at the same time when logged in as a wholesale person. That works great.
What is not working great, or at all is when I use salemaker to do a 20% off sale and log in as a wholesale person.
Retail people see the retail price with the sale correctly. Wholesale see's the wholesale price correct, but the retail price gets a price reduction equal to the wholesale price. So the wholesale users see that they get 20% off and the retail customer is getting like 54% off.
I hope that made sense. ;)

I installed this module, put all the files in the relevant folders and read the ReadMe.txt file.
This file said "5. Run install.txt in Tools > Install SQL Patches". However there was no "install.txt" file just "install.sql".
So in Tools > Install SQL Patches I put in "install.sql;" - I did not put the quote but DID put the semi colon - and clicked on Send and got an error:-
1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'install.sql' at line 1
in:
[install.sql;]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
If I enter just "install.sql" - no semi colon - I just get a red line at the page top with "Failed" in it.
Can anyone help??

I have googled and searched these forums BUT still cant get a fix for my problem.
I have 1.3.9h installed and Dual pricing 1.8 and also Stock by Atrributes 1.1.14
The wholesale pricing shows correctly in all stages with attributes EXCEPT when I have the following:
Category called Shop by Scents. Then in a drop down there are 5 different product type with different pricing. I have added the "trade" price and this is shown when logged in as a wholesale client UNTIL you add to cart and it reverts back to retail pricing.
Any ideas?

Yes this is a bug I have fixed, not sure if I've posted it in this thread yet. I am in the process of completing the wholesale module with complete instructions for 1.3.9h. I know it's been a while but I have also corrected the most common sub total error, new signup log in sub total error, installed grid pricing to work with wholesale and retail as well as a host of wholesale filters to essentially run wholesale 'underground' throughout the whole site... while multi site runs. Meaning you could technically create a 'wholesale' template and have access to the entire database, with a completely different look and function.Quote:

What I ran into was the [Copy To] problem in attribute controller... After I setup the first one I copied to all the other candles... That doesn't work.. even if in attribute controller it looks like it did... it doesn't
For me I had to manually edit each attribute for each product for it to work... try that with 2 particular products then test.. hopefully it works for you too...

ONLY PROB is when I create a new wholesale account - it does not show wholesale price on the screen BUT add it to the cart and then it does! So it has swapped around....lol

I would suggest copying over the rest of the files and trying that.. then uninstalling the sql statements you previously installed with this:

To anyone who has an issue with hidden wholesale in the zip file I uploaded..
Goto
/includes/init_includes/overrides/init_customer_auth.php and change line 162 from
toPHP Code:$custom_restriction= ' AND (p.products_price > 0 OR p.products_type = 4) ';
orPHP Code:$custom_restriction= ' AND (p.products_price > 0 OR p.products_type = WHATEVER CATEGORY YOU WANT TO HIDE) ';
what that lil code does is allows you to not only restrict products with an original value of 0 but as well as restrict certain categories altogether...PHP Code:$custom_restriction= ' AND p.products_price > 0 ';
As you see I have mine to restrict all products with products_type = 4 which is Documents Product

Also - - If your using this the same way I am you'll notice that Dual Pricing doesn't work so well with products that aren't standard.. Meaning in Documents product there is no wholesale field.. So the best way to work around this is to set your product up as a regular product.. Then change the Product to Documents product by logging into PHP myadmin..
Scroll down to products and edit your product by changing its products_type to 4 Note you may have to re enter the wholesale value in php myadmin after you do that...
I know it sucks but I haven't had the time to fix the products type issue in dual pricing yet...

I'm running ZC 1.3.9h.
I loaded the Dual Pricing mod and everything seemed to go well except on the retail portion of the site, the attributes are moved below the product description section whereas normally they attributes are above the description section. Where can I fix this or is there something else I was suppose to do?
Also, where do I list the 4 wholesale prices for attributes? Everywhere I try to put them seems to not work.
