Hi,
I am new to zen and i have installed 2 test sites, i have scanned this forum for the problem i have, but due to the amount of posts my eyes have gone.
My problem is, when i just have the test data on show, all side boxes etc are displayed, however, when i activate cateories and add to either site, all but the header and the categories box vanish, only to re appear when i close the catagory again!
What have i done wrong?

Check the descriptions on your products ...
Also, you can get the Debug Tool from the Free Software Add Ons and see if that helps to identify your problem ...
Also, perhaps if we could see an URL to your site we could spot a problem, when you activate one of these Categories that is causing a problem ...
Hi ajay,
Thanks for the swift response
What would the cat description have to do with it?
I only have test data in there at present

Did as you asked and this was the issue
Thanks
I'm testing my multisite and do have one question:
I do have ex: "domain1.com" and "domain2.com".
Both sites I can access with and without the "www.". Ex: "domain1.com" will be the same as "www.domain1.com", and "domain2.com" will be the same as "www.domain2.com".
First I just had the two config-files:
"domain1.com_config.php" and "domain2.com_config.php". I tried to access "www.domain1.com" and got the error-msg "the domain "www.domain1.com" does not exist".
Ok, so I just copied the content of "domain1.com_config.php" and renamed it to "www.domain1.com_config.php". This means, I do now have two config-files for each domain.
It seams to work properly. But I fear that I might get problems with that later on.
Is this solution o.k.? Or would it be better to make a htaccess-rewriter-rule to rewrite "domain1.com" to "www.domain1.com"?
I'm now working on the live site. The module is installed and so far the only problem is getting the domains configured for cross site carts.
On my test site I was using only subdomains. On the customers live site they would like to use unique domain names.
The account is hosted on hostgator with the domain names on godaddy pointing to hostgator servers.
Both site1.com and site2.com are add on domains.
Site1.com is the main store and is working fine. Site2.com is showing up in the partner sidebox. I managed to get the link from opening to the 'this site does not exist' page to now opening up into the site2.com folder showing the cgi-bin folder.
Am I doing something wrong or will this not work with all domain names?
Has anyone had luck in using all domain names instead of sub domains?
I can get it to work with using a subdomain but if I redirect the subdomain to the domain name it then opens up the domains folder. The only thing in the domain folder is the cgi-bin folder.
Perhaps I didnīt understand you correctly. But site2.com should point to the same place as site1.com. So, you should end up in configuring both domains the same way (Iīm talking about apache-config, not the module-config). It seams that this ist not the case in your setup. If so, this is not a multisite-module-problem but a problem of your server-config. Ask your hosting-provider about this. Some providers do not allow two domains pointing to the same directory. But they can config it this way.
Both the domains we are using are addon domains. We have access to hostgator cpanel
When viewing the Addon Domain page is this how it should be?
addon domains --- Document root --- User Name --- Redirects To
site1.com ---- /public_html/site1.com ---- site1 ----- not redirected
site2.com ---- /public_html/site1.com ---- site2 ----- not redirected
Configured this way when I try the url directly in my browser the page loads saying the domain site2.com does not exist
The dns for both sites are the same
