Size is an attribute or should beQuote:

This is so frustrating. I appreciate everyone's answers, but I already have Stock by Attribute installed, and I already have each size as an attribute. Unfortunately, that does not answer my question. How do I assign each size it's own inventory? I really need this spelled out for me I guess.
There is a code edit here from Grayson, but the file that we are told to edit is include/modules/pages/product_info/main_template_vars_attributes.php and that does not exist in my file directory. I found something on Wikipedia that states:
This is relatively straightforward if you have only a single attribute such as size of color for each product. Code for this is proposed in this archive thread[1]. Seek out post #110 by Grayson, and her correction in #132 and apply the changes to the includes/modules/attributes.php file instead of includes/modules/pages/product_info/main_template_vars_attributes.php
Of course, the code we are supposed to change does not exist in that file! And the site keeps giving the message: The connection has timed out. The server at www.zen-cart.com is taking too long to respond.
This seems as if it would be an obvious thing to do, but it is not obvious to me. Can someone walk me through it, please?
We have come across this issue as well using sba version 1.4.12. So far safari does handle this mod better.Quote:

A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

Oddly enough this mod seems to work without error in the safari web browser
But it is extremely slow
I think part of the problem is the number of items it is showing the page
One site has 6859 items and the other has 2276 items
The one with 2276 is noticeably faster, but still a little slow
Would there be a way to limit the items displayed, “say by clearance items”
I sort of have this working, but the real concern is that I was hoping that the option to choose a size would disappear when there is "0" inventory remaining. Easier for the customer.
Is there a setting to make the attribute unavailable if the inventory is "0"?
For instance, if there are no more size 42 jackets, then the option to choose the size 42 jacket is not there.
Yes there is because I applied it and it works, need to go back and dig out the fix...will be back...

This worked for me;

I posted in a diff Stock by Att forum about listing stock by size and colour such that customers can not order more than what is in stock, can not order something that is out of stock, and current inventory levels show clearly.

I had posted on an other thread but I think this is the right one.
I am running 1.39h and I just installed SBA 4.13. Everything appears to be working except 2 issues. One is that my available stock does not show in the shopping cart when the quantity exceeds the current stock level for that attribute. even though the "Show available stock level in cart when less than order" is set to true. I have been comparing all the files 2 to 3 times and I am pretty sure i merged it correctly.
The other issue is more of a behavior problem. I have my setting set to not go to the shopping cart every time you add an item but if the first item added has insufficient stock they all show up as insufficient subsequently.
Any help would be much appreciated. :frusty:
