How do I edit (or even find???) the stylesheet.css? Can it be done through FrontPage?
includes/templates/ashley_pink/css/stylesheet.css
It would probably not be a good idea to use a wysiwyg program to edit this file. Use a text editor instead.

And why can't I access the existing buttons and just colorize them? Why won't any editing program, even Photoshop, open them?? That's the first time I've ever seen that happen, and it's frustrating (and not a little unnerving).
This is due the a compression anomaly. If your editing program will not open the buttons, then I would recommend creating new buttons.

Re: Ashley Pink Template Support Thread
Thank you for such a wonderful template. I am having issues and hope you can help me. On the index page all I have displaying is t he new products for the month. I want the others to show to featured products etc. I have checked all settings in admin config and everything is set as it should be. I am wondering what I did wrong here. Can you help? I checked another template and its not showing up on there either. Thank you
Re: Ashley Pink Template Support Thread
I answered my own question lol first you have to add some. Now I just need to figure out how to add random products there instead.. over 10,000 products would be easier to be random.. thank you

They should be showing randomly by default.
Thanks,
Anne
Re: Ashley Pink Template Support Thread
Okay, I finally found the correct stylesheet, managed to open it, managed to find a program that will give me the hex code I wanted (http://www.december.com/html/spec/swatchcontrol.html, in case anyone else ever needs to do this), and I even managed to change the background color. Whoo hoo!
Unfortunately I don't know which parameters I'm looking for to change the pink bar with the Home/Contact Us/etc. links in it, or the spacer lines between the Category links and Information links, or the spacer line between my product pictures and the New Products section, or the footer section just above the IP address.
Can you please tell me which keywords I'm looking for, so I can make those changes, too? I'm too unfamiliar with this code to just go randomly changing things to see what will happen...I guarantee I'll screw it up and not be able to fix it again. :yuck:
Thank you.
Re: Ashley Pink Template Support Thread
Gonna jump in a make a suggestion here.. You really should use the Firefox browsers and their web developers tools.. This will help you to EASILY identify which styles control what areas of your site.. This tool will help you to answer your questions..

By taking huge chances and just playing around, I managed to find some of the settings I wanted. Now I'm down to the spacer lines and hover colors on the Category links and Information links (left sidebars), and the footer section just above the IP address.
Which lines am I looking for in the stylesheet.css to change these colors?
When I'm done, you'll have an Ashley Green template!

Re: Ashley Pink Template Support Thread
I saw your first post. With all due respect, my answer is no. The last time I tried to install Firefox, it totally screwed up my computer. I avoid it now at all costs. All I need is a couple of small bits of information and then I'll go away.

You need the stylesheet_betterCategoriesEzInfo.css and stylesheet_footer_menu.css.

I agree 100%. Life without these tools to me is like life before running water or electricity
