tell me if it works for you... mine installed fine but then it wouldn't let me confiugre it in the Admin
Should I be using the Beta or the current, it looks like the current supports 1.3.7 so unless there is a very complelling reason to use the Beta I will use it.
When I go to the admin page I get the following errors:
Code:Warning: call_user_func(seo_display_plugins) [function.call-user-func]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback in /directory/includes/functions/general.php on line 1538
Warning: call_user_func(seo_display_char_plugins) [function.call-user-func]: First argument is expected to be a valid callback in /directory/includes/functions/general.php on line 1538
I'm not sure mine never worked... I used the current one
I used the current one too, although it says beta in the Admin pages(and they both are the same size and date). Any ideas on the error messages?
Same, right now its way more important for me to get the rest of the site up.
The Beta works,
Get it here
you can see it in action at
www.york-karate.com
Looks like its working great for you...

Any advice? It just won't let me change it...
I just tried to install the beta, however when I try to view an item firefox returns this error, other pages seem to work fine, however I'm not sure the links have been altered correctly, the site is http://www.goodbuygail.com/ :
Code:The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

you need to go into admin ->Configuratin and check off the core folders
Well, I just found half my problem, I hadn't renamed the admin folder to my admin folders name. Now that I changed that it still doesn't work however, do I need to reinstall the addon to fix it?(If so is there a differen't way to remove it then to manually delete all the files?)
Hi All
I have installed the seo urls mod and is working well, but having trouble with paypal ipn, I am using zen cart 1.3.7 and the seo url mod 3.0.0.0 beta1 version, do I need a patch to get this working.The problem is that when we get a payment by paypal the order does not come through to our zen cart customers orders/ipn sections all we get is the payment receive from paypal.We have set the ipn and website return on our paypal account, I think the seo url mod is rewriting the checkout return urls, as the process does not go to the zen cart checout success page.Hope this makes sense.:lookaroun
Thanks
How do I go about removing this addon, I deleted all the files as per what I saw in the original downloads folder, however I still see a section in the admin area for this, how do I remove it?
magpi
you need to go into the admin -> configuration and uncheck the box for rewriting ssl
goodbuy
you will need to actually go in and remove the lines from the config table
what issues were you having with it,
the site that I sent you to thats using the 3.0 Beta is on the same server as you,
you need to remember that when you login to admin to make the settings as follows
Quote:
Seo Urls Status On
301 Redirection Status On
Page Base
Default Extension .html
Url Plugins Core: EZ Pages, Core: Product, Core: Default Skips, Core: Product: Reviews: Write, Core: Default: Skip SSL, Core: Advanced Search, Core: Default, Core: Product: Reviews, Core: Advanced Search: Result, Core: Category, Core: Product: Image, Core: Manufacturer, Core: Product: Reviews: Info
Character Plugins Format: Strip Invalid
set page base to (blank )
default extension to .html
remember to set the Url Plugins
leave the ssl ones to false
and set
Character Plugins Format: Strip Invalid
Well I fixed the modrewrite issue, I think I am deffinately going to hold off on this for a while, I can't seem to attempt an install without breaking something. Perhaps SEO friendly URLs can be added to zen cart itself.
I am having a problem with this mod, latest release v2.105. This is my first time attempting to use this mod, it is not an upgrade. It SEEMs to work fine until I attempt to navigate to a product page, at which time I am routed to a 404 error page. Categories and subcategories work just fine. I am disabling this mod for now, so you won't be able to duplicate the error. I reinstalled it and did the same thing. I tried fiddling with the settings, but nothing i tried helped. The htaccess file was edited as per instructions. Any suggestions?
Hi Humbl
Re: 404 error on navigating to products
I wonder if you have root access to your server. If you do it is worth checking the httpd.conf file to see if AllowOverride is set to 'No'. If it is set to No the .htaccess file is ignored.
In this scenario you can either enable AllowOverride which reduces apache performance(according to the apache manual) or you can add contents of chemo's seo .htaccess to the httpd.conf file and restart apache.
It worked for me. Hope it helps

Merson

humbel use the 3.0 Beta
Goodby make sure that you are not setting any files or folders to 777
using php as cgi will cause an error
I just tried to reinstall it again, it seems to be fine(so far), however I can't actually enable it, I am having the same problem someone else mentioned where I clicking on an option doesn't let me edit it.
The admin page for SEO also shows this error
I am running PHP form the default settings(mod_php right?) and I haven't altered any permisions from when I uploaded the files.Code:Fatal error: Class coreadvancedsearchresultseourlplugin: Cannot inherit from undefined class coreadvancedsearchseourlplugin in /home2/goo10000/public_html/includes/classes/seo/seo.url_plugins/__core__/advanced_search_result.php on line 14
Ok, its now working, and wonderfully I might say!
I replaced ths file with the one from the bug tracker
Code:<?php

Hi All
Merlinpa
The problem is that if the SSL box is not ticked, my checkout will not work, I have had a look into patch for paypal but with 12 new files to install and some looking like they had the same name looks a little daunting for a zen cart newbie like me.Not sure what to do, also I noticed even with the mod off on paypal there is no details of the item titles.
Magpie
I am getting 404 page not found, i am using the beta version on 1.3.7 Zen Cart.
If my host does not support mod rewrite does the .htaccess over write that setting? in another way, if i have .htaccess then it does not mater if the server RewriteEngine or mod rewrite is off or on? Thanks for you help.
Hello everyone,
i installed the Ultimate_SEO_URLs_v2.105 version, everything went well. mainpage is viewing without a problem but when i click on a link of a product or other link i get a "page not found 404" error.
the links are correct transformed
example: http://www.laptop-onlineshop.be/targ...lon-p-868.html
I tried it on 2 diferent servers, both have the same problem. can someone help ?
I found the problem already. it was in my htaccess file, here are my changes:

Hi
Can some one please summery this please, or direct me to the where or what is the final thought on this mod.
The are 100s pages in few Threads some say it not good for Google as it will make you loose ranking, also I see the are different version of this mod, which one will suit my Zen cart, I use Zen 1.3.7
P.S when I refresh my page I get better looking url, is that normal ?
Thank you
Ok maybe understanding the basics for me will be a big help.
I contacted my host about mod rewrite and i was told that my server is Windows not Linux, so my question is
Can this be used on Windows IIS server? do i need the .htaccess for windows or Linux or both?
and the question of the day why i am getting 404.
PS. I was not going to install this untill i saw a post for Merlinpa1969 saying it works, and she was giving help and support on this, so Merlinpa1969 please help.
HI
With the seo url mod on my returning customers log in their account then get taken to my host website after clicking log in, which always happens when I have a problem with this mod, this is using the Seo Urls 3.0.0-beta1
Thanks
Hi all,
I am new for zen cart and the SEO URL.
I used the zen cart version 1.3.6, and SEO URL beta1.
This SEO URL does helped me get the seo url for the site. That is good, and thanks about that. However, the shopping cart is not working with the beautiful seo url now.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem, and make the shopping cart working with seo url ?
If the shopping cart is not working, i think the seo url will be useless for us.
Maybe I missed some simple thing, can I have some suggestions?
Cheers.
What problem are you having with the shopping cart?
When a user adds an item does it just say your shopping cart is empty?
I'm not sure, I was having the same problem, but I never really got a chance to look at it because SEO URLs was somehow preventing users from logging in, that problem is being looked at so perhaps they are actually the same problem, right now I have it disabled and I'm not going to play with it until that is cleared up.
Thanks for your kind reply.
In the previous post, I found
Merlinpa1969 has a site( http://www.york-karate.com/ ), and it is working well with seo url.
Hope he has ideas to solve the problem, that will be great.
Hi, Merlinpa1969, do you know how to solve the shopping cart empty(with the seo url) problem?
Cheers.
Hi Merlinpa1969 , I found you got a site running well with seo url.
I had a problem with the shopping cart, when i use the seo url.
The problem is that if i switch the seo url on in the backend, the shopping cart is always empty?
Do have any clue to fix this problem?
Waiting for your answer.
Cheers.
Hi, all.
I thought the SEO URL is working like redirecting the original url to SEO url.
Therefore, when it does the redirect, we would lose the information from the posted form.
That means all the form such as shopping cart or contact us form would be not working correctly with seo url.
Am I right?
Anyone has got a site working well with this SEO URL?
.
Where can i download SEO 3.0 i can't find this version
Thanks

No it does not work,
just signed up for a Linux hosting, moved a site that i had in windows host and it look like it was working until you add an item to your cart, then it will show an empty cart (this is a known bug) and here is a list of known bugs in itif someone got to work with all these these bugs then must spend a ton of time working on it or they are very very good in PHP .
- Card details are not passed through checkout, nor emailed in 2 parts
- With this mod and shared SSL on can not login as an existing customer
- shopping cart doesn't work
- Paypal payment problem!
for the average or below average programmer this will take some time and then you find out that you are breaking something else.
I like the contribution and i appreciate the developer effort and time but i will turn it off for now until these issues resolved.
i hope this safe someone else time and frustration.
I am getting a 404 error,The requested URL /zc_install/index.php does not exist . since I installed it on my second shop on server... and doesnt show up in config in admin. My second shop is in a sub directory, I would appreciate some help ... Thanks in advance
reinstalled again and again finally started working weird but thanks anyways :)
I have installed Zencart 1.3.7 using Xaamp. I'm having the following error at the top of my page after installing Chemo's URL Add on:

at the bottom of the page I get this other error message:

Could anybody tell me what this mean and how to fix it?
Thanks
HI
I have the beta 3.0.0.1 seo url mod version and have just read that if you have a shared ssl the mod it will not let you customers log in, is this true.
Thanks
Does anyone know if there is a way to turn underscores to dashes when creating new defined pages? Ex. (site-map.html instead of site_map.html).
Even though i posted a page back that this mod does not work but i am not giving up on it, re reading this thread again it seems that some people got it to work, but where are those people to provide some help for us newbies????
Like i said i got a Linux account and i installed Zen Cart 1.3.7 and then backed up my files and my database from the working site and moved them to the new host, i installed this mod but i can not get items in the cart (always show empty cart) even though products and categories show as .html url.
since some people got it to work for them then i am assuming that i am missing something here, i followed what merlin advice to setup but no success yet.
Any Ideas?
Hi Tam
Have you turned on you url plugins on our admin, I have zen cart v1.3.7
and the beta3.0.0.1 seo url mod version looks to work the best, but still
getting a few problems with customers not being able to log into their acccount.
Mag
:bigups:
Hi Mag,
Yes i turned all the core page to on as suggested earlier in this thread, i am not sure why isn't working.
My categories and products works great but when you try to add an item to the to the cart it says the cart is empty, i made sure the cache directory is set to 777 (not sure if that has any thing to do with it).
Customer sign up does not write the information to the database thus customer login is not working.
I am suspecting a permission issue or the .htaccess entries, here is my basic htaccess
Do i need more lines in my htaccess?Quote:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
# Seo Urls version 3.x
# Don't rewrite real files or directories
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ index\.php?seo_url=$1&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]
I will keep playing with it until it works and when it does i will have step-by-step installation instruction, i hate to see others go through what I've been through.
I don't. But I did do a search the other day on the use of "_", "-" and "+" in urls for SEO. You might want to do the same, including doing searches on terms with the various separators to see if the search listings come up differently.
IMO, dashes are probably best, apparently being universally recognized and used. Some sources indicated it didn't matter, they all act as spaces.
Do test searches. My experience was that the "-" and "+" were very close producing results, the underscore seemed different.
Wondering if this has anything to do with it, from pdf/instructions ChangeLog:
Fixed Bug: #511, Customer login may fail when “Recreate Session” is True and
“Force Cookie Use” is False
I know I'm looking forward to that! My last problem: PayPal order does not return to ZC admin.Quote:
I will keep playing with it until it works and when it does i will have step-by-step installation instruction, i hate to see others go through what I've been through.
Update:
I got passed the shopping cart empy issue, the problem was me :bangin:
I edited the file html_output.php but not the one on the site i am testing this mod with. :frusty:
The issue of new customers being able to create an account and login also was resolved, I am testing without SSL installed so following dreamscape's advice to uncheck Core: Default: Skip SSL Skip transforming SSL urls i was able to create a new account and the payment process was taking me through the steps.
About the PayPal Express checkout, currently i am getting the url kind of missed up www.mysite.com/ipn_main_handler.php.html?type=ec, as you see i am having an extension addes to the file even though i enabled
Core: Default Skips Skip urls with extensions [most likely real files].
I tried to follow dreamscape solution
but i could not even find the function he mentioned in that file
to be honest with you, PayPal Express checkout was a challenge for me even on the my live site, i was never been able to get it to work, every time that button was clicked it show the following error
Return to Merchant
This transaction is invalid. Please return to the recipient's website to complete your transaction using their regular checkout flow.
and the same error i get when i remove the .html extension and reload the page.
I will keep searching/testing and i will update.
I got this problem solved by adding the following lines
to the file includes\classes\seo\seo.url.php right afterCode:// don't rewrite the paypal IPN notify url
if ($page == 'ipn_main_handler.php') {
return $this->buildStockHrefLink($page, $parameters, $connection, $add_session_id, true, $static, $use_dir_ws_catalog);
}
As dreamscape suggested a couple of years ago, but the location and the name of the function has changed a bit. it seems it is removing the .html every where the button shows up.Code:/**
* don't rewrite pages we should skip
*/
if ($this->plugins->skipSeoUrl($page, $parameters, $connection) === true) {
return $this->buildStockHrefLink($page, $parameters, $connection, $add_session_id, true, $static, $use_dir_ws_catalog);
}
:frusty: This another one of those things, i was able to to pass that by setting the cURL correctly in the admin>configuration>mystore.Quote:

What is the first thing to check when getting a 404 error after installing Seo_Url?
www.funtasticaltoys.com/toyshop/index.php
Works fine on the admin side, but not working on the cart side.
I had a few other errors, but I worked around all of them.
The one thing I never figured out was that the directions stated to remove the old seo reference in admin/includes/products.php I do not have that file, had product.php but no seo references in it.
the setting should be like this
Seo Urls Status On
301 Redirection Status On
Page Base (is your cart installed inside the directory /toyshop/? or is it in the root? if it is in the root then this should be blank otherwise it should be /toyshop/
Default Extension .html
Url Plugins Core: EZ Pages, Core: Product, Core: Default Skips, Core: Product: Reviews: Write, Core: Default: Skip SSL, Core: Advanced Search, Core: Default, Core: Product: Reviews, Core: Advanced Search: Result, Core: Category, Core: Product: Image, Core: Manufacturer, Core: Product: Reviews: Info
Character Plugins Format: Strip Invalid
Checked all that, and corrected, still getting the 404.
Here is my htaccess
Code:# $Id: .htaccess 1105 2005-04-04 22:05:35Z birdbrain $
#
# This is used with Apache WebServers
# The following blocks direct HTTP requests in this directory recursively
#
# For this to work, you must include the parameter 'Limit' to the AllowOverride configuration
#
# Example:
#
#<Directory "/usr/local/apache/htdocs">
# AllowOverride Limit
#
# 'All' with also work. (This configuration is in your apache/conf/httpd.conf file)
#
# This does not affect PHP include/require functions
#
# Example: http://server/catalog/includes/application_top.php will not work
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /toyshop/
# Seo Urls version 3.x
# Don't rewrite real files or directories
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ index\.php?seo_url=$1&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]
This is my .htaccess file, it looks the same as what you have except for one thing is the + in your last line (I never dealt with htaccess before this.
Code:RewriteRule ^(.+)$ index\.php?seo_url=$1&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]
Code:1 RewriteEngine On
2 RewriteBase /
3
4 # Seo Urls version 3.x
5 # Don't rewrite real files or directories
6 RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
7 RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
8 RewriteRule ^(. )$ index\.php?seo_url=$1&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]
Never mind the last post, it has a + but it does not show in view only when i open the file for edit.:oops:
Did you put the htaccess in the root or in /toyshop/?
It is late, lol.
It is in /toyshop/
I tried taking it out all together, and then I get true 404 no page loading errors. I have an .htaccess in my root, but none of the calls in it should be effecting anything, I deleted it just to test it and it did not change anything. Well maybe sleeping on it will help. Thanks for taking a look, I appreciate the help! :clap:
I did a fresh install on a new server, new database, new url, and I am still getting the 404 error.
Anyone else have this running correctly on a godaddy server with deluxe hosting. If so what are your settings. For the time, I will leave this mod turned off and work on some others.
hi everybody
im having the same problem...
i installed the SEO 3.0.0 Beta
and i'm getting the
Page Not Found
i installed the mod depends on the PDF guide in the zip file.
and im having the host with Dreamhost, i checked their forums some of them were talking about the settings for the path_info things so i assumed they have that thing, their PHP version is 4.7.7
anybody help?
regards
saher
by the way that was on the main page i didn't press anywhere
when i go to my site, i just get that page with the list of the pages i have on my site...
and i click on any link,, i see the URL of the SEO working on the address bar, but i get the 404
my site is installed on the root...
any help???
regards
saher
Has anyone have any idea how could this be accomplished?
I have this mod installed and working great on my site, i have a few pages that i want to permanently redirect.
Note: I am moving the products i have in another site (not Zen Cart) to a Zen Cart, i want to keep the urls that was indexed from the old site by doing a redirect 301. the domain name will be the same.
This is my code in the .htaccess
I am getting Page not found and the url in the browser look like this after i try to access the old redirected page.Code:Redirect 301 /Old-Product-Name_p948.htm http://www.mydomain.com/New-Product-Name-p-621.html
http://www.mydomain.com/New-Product-Name-p-621.html?seo_url=Old-Product-Name_p948.htm
If i changed the code in the .htaccess to
it works fine, but since this mod is doing a redirect onCode:Redirect 301 /Old-Product-Name_p948.htm http://www.mydomain.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=35&products_id=621
http://www.mydomain.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=621
to
http://www.mydomain.com/New-Product-Name-p-621.html
then i would like to get my redirection to the end result and stay away from the link or double redirection.
Any idea?
That helped me too. Thank you, TamyA:yes: I still can't get the PayPal IPN to work (it keeps showing the PayPal home page), but I got PayPal Express Checkout to work.
I installed the latest patch for PayPal and now customers have a choice: PayPal IPN or PayPal. And the radio button or PayPal is always checked. PayPal works. So, I will go ahead and simply disable PayPal IPN and work with PayPal, PayPal Express Checkout and Google Checkout.
So, thanks again:smile:
Saher, there are too many things involved here, try to start from the begining like i did and go through the pdf file, i updated the wrong html_output the first time, make sure that all the steps are followed.
my htaccess is the following code
compare it to yours and start basic then you can add to it.Code:RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
# Seo Urls version 3.x
# Don't rewrite real files or directories
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ index\.php?seo_url=$1&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]
Make sure you on Linux server not Windows server.
for the setting in the configuration just follow what Merlin99 suggested in page 102 of this thread.
if you have any doubt about someting that involve configeration then post it here since people can help you when they have somthing to work with.
if you do not want to post your url here you can pm me and i will take a look since your posting is not clear to me.
good luck
thank you for these information...
which html_output
there are two of them, one in the includes for the online store, Zen Cart Installation/includes/functions/html_output.php
and the other in the administration folder, thats for the administration links i think, that also exists in includes but after admin not on the root...:blink:
i updated the one with the includes in the root of the Zen installation.:cool:
Im having a Unix hosting, with info path available, and the hosting company gave me a link " PHP code" to call the right info path or path info but i don't know where to use, but i think it should be available in the SEO already since it counts on it!:flex:
yesterday i went to site of Josh to report the bugs and i reported the problem and i found a code that might be helpful by the way for the PayPal IPN
i downloaded the seo zip file that merlin had a link for it and i want to over right the files on my PC and then upload them all together again?Code:

but i get the same result.
Page Not Found....
but the URL looks cool, but its not working!
there is something wrong with the script, or maybe its not going so well with other plugins on the site, but Jwm931 posted that message before me:
what do you think about it guys?Quote:
I did a fresh install on a new server, new database, new url, and I am still getting the 404 error.

What i meant that i missed something and had problems at the beginning, just want you to make sure that you did it correctly by going through the steps once again.
the file i was referring to is
Zen Cart Installation/includes/functions/html_output.php
I think that path info goes in the include/configure.php on the last line if you are using file as cache like thisQuote:
Im having a Unix hosting, with info path available, and the hosting company gave me a link " PHP code" to call the right info path or path info but i don't know where to use, but i think it should be available in the SEO already since it counts on it!:flex:
define('SQL_CACHE_METHOD', 'file');
define('DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE', 'The path goes here');
Thats what i did, just make sure that all the files got uploaded, some ftp browser do not do a good job and time out on some files, i used to upload the same files twice to make sure that none was skipped.Quote:
i downloaded the seo zip file that merlin had a link for it and i want to over right the files on my PC and then upload them all together again?
when i was uploading the files yesterday i had some internet connection problems, do you think it effected it?
Make sure all the files in place, upload again if you have to, check and compare with your server to make sure all the files in the correct directory.
I thought the same thing and i posted a few pages back which reminds me, i owe Merlin an appology for that post, the code is working and i have more mods installed on my site than you can shake a stick at, it is working.Quote:

did you check your error logs? and what does it say?
can you post your htaccess file and your seo url configuration? let us start from there.
I meant your website url www.yourdomain.comQuote:

thank you for your reply
yes i made the change to the correct html_output file,, as in the specified directory
Zen Cart Installation/includes/functions/html_output.php
by the way i uploaded the files 3 times till now and they are ok in their place and everything is in good conditions on server!

i have this one different a little, well, different from you so much, i think this one might be the case, because its a difference between our settings
what i have in my configure file is:
i don't have a file,, i have a Database... do i still need to use the info path?Code:// The next 2 "defines" are for SQL cache support.
// For SQL_CACHE_METHOD, you can select from: none, database, or file
// If you choose "file", then you need to set the DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE to a directory where your apache
// or webserver user has write privileges (chmod 666 or 777). We recommend using the "cache" folder inside the Zen Cart folder
// ie: /path/to/your/webspace/public_html/zen/cache -- leave no trailing slash
define('SQL_CACHE_METHOD', 'database');
define('DIR_FS_SQL_CACHE', '/home/user/alsousbros.com/cache');
or it doesn't matter?

well
DrByte said it doesn't matter ...Quote:

or it doesn't matter?
so what can i change?
yesterday i was reading online how can i configue the .htaccess file and thats what i ended with :
Code:RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
Options +Indexes
Options +FollowSymlinks
# Seo Urls version 3.x
# Don't rewrite real files or directories
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ index\.php?seo_url=$1&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]
or is it with any PHP file in the SEO or ZenCart?:wacko:
all the best

Fairly sure I followed the instructions correctly, and indeed, urls are being nicely re-written... but I simply do not have admin > CONFIGURATION > SEO URLS ! :wacko:
Would this be anything to do with having renamed the admin directory? Or have I just missed something obvious?
Edit: I had - the site has Admin Profiles installed and I'd forgotten to give myself permission to access SEO URLS! :blush:
Anyone encontered the problem of SEO URL 3.0 unable to be checked as a permission with admin settings?
Thanks!
I found I had to go through the process twice, but I thought I'd just been logged out of the admin through inactivity... did you try a second time?
The rewrite is working wonderfully, but then when a new user tries to create an account, it is not working:
htaccess settings include
I have the SEO_fixes_for_3.0.0.b1, and seo_urls_3.0.0-beta1.HTML Code:RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.+)$ index\.php?seo_url=$1&%{QUERY_STRING} [L]
The html_output file includes the additions are required:
All the admin options are turned on, and I have it based from root.PHP Code:
function zen_href_link($page = '', $parameters = '', $connection = 'NONSSL', $add_session_id = true, $search_engine_safe = true, $static = false, $use_dir_ws_catalog = true) {
// not all core scripts (such as the Paypal IPN handler) implement the core auto loader system (WTF!?)
if (!isset($GLOBALS['SeoUrl'])) {
require_once(DIR_FS_CATALOG . DIR_WS_CLASSES . 'seo/seo.url.php');
$GLOBALS['SeoUrl'] =& new SeoUrl($GLOBALS['db']);
$GLOBALS['SeoUrl']->setupLanguage($_SESSION['languages_id']);
}
return $GLOBALS['SeoUrl']->buildHrefLink($page, $parameters, $connection, $add_session_id, $static, $use_dir_ws_catalog);
}
/*
* The HTML href link wrapper function
*/
function zen_href_link_stock($page = '', $parameters = '', $connection = 'NONSSL', $add_session_id = true, $search_engine_safe = true, $static = false, $use_dir_ws_catalog = true) {
Where have I gone wrong, what is the issue. Yes, I could put up a bug request, but will first hear from the community about it.
Any ideas
I've actually got version 3.0.0-beta1 to work, and everything seems so far so good, no login issues or anything.
However, finding information about the different versions, etc... seems to be a daunting task. Does anyone else think it might be easier to find information if maybe each version had its own topic or something. The original version posted here was May of 2006 version 1.2.01, and at the end of the replies we're on 3.0.0-beta1, beta1 patch from someone, .etc... and it's really difficult to weed through a post with a 1000+ replies. It seems if a post has that many replies, maybe it should have its own board. (I'm still trying to re-find the link here were I downloaded the beta versions of SEO, the download section here does not reference it).
I just wondered if anyone else had those issues.
By the way, Zen-Cart and all the contributors have done a spectacular job here!
Kudos to all of the people making this happen!
Hi i was searching for some form of search engine friendly urls software and i found this I would like to know if any one is/has used this program and what they think of it
I know about the Chemo's Ultimate URL's but it seesm like there is some bugs in it, and this other one looks like you just have to add a simple line of coding
Please let me know what you think of it
Thank you
:oops:

Sorry :smile:
This looks very promising and more importantly it will be supported unlike this mod that has been abandoned. When you think about it, some of us contributed money to Dreamscape to only get a beta version product that doesn't fully work for which he said we are all stupid if we use it in production environment. For $89 this is very cheap and it's less than some people contributed to this beta version.
I emailed them to find out if it supports products with attributes as well as when they expect to support more than 3 category levels. If I get a favorable answer to the attribute question, I will purchase it even if it doesn't support more than 3 category levels since it doesn't break it.
If it works this is VERY cheap and if it doesn't work, you at least have support option and they are also offering future upgrades for free.
Disclaimer: I am in no way associated with the created of this product.
I just want to say that if you need to see the beta version of the mod that this thread is about live you can take a look at our site www.clevershoppers.com to see it in action. It doesn't work with products with attributes and other problems associated with pages using SSL are avoided by disabling this mod on SSL pages since we don't want search engine indexing those pages anyway.
Thanks!
I belive you :smile:
Please let me know if this is good I will buy it also, I got to do something abut this long links
I was watching this mod for abut 2 months, and with all the thread here I got scare even to try it.
you missing some pictures on this page http://www.clevershoppers.com/####################s-c-12.html in the monthly special
I just installed SEO URL's on my site and it's working great. How do I get the EZPages to rewrite? I put ez_pages in the configuration of pages to rewrite, but the URLs are the same. Any thing I'm doing wrong?
Thanks!
I'm folling the instructions located at:
http://www.dream-scape.com/pub/zenca...s/install.html
and I'm stuck on step 1!
It's telling me to find:
require(DIR_WS_LANGUAGES . $template_dir_select . $_SESSION['language'] . '.php');
// include the extra language translations
include(DIR_WS_MODULES . 'extra_definitions.php');
But it doesn't exist in my includes/application_top.php file!
Maybe I'm following the wrong directions?
Please help! My google rank has droped from page 1 to the bottom of page 8 since I launched my new zc site 2 weeks ago, and it's really affecting business.
Thank you!
