I am having problems with the shipping updating on the final page. I have installed the last version on the loader and FEC and everything is great, with this exception.
I see other people have the same problem but I have not found a solution yet.
Please help, it's very frustrating for my customers.
What version of FEC?? The version available here in the downloads is v1.8.1, the version available on the Numinix site is 1.9.3. (Latest version of the CJ Loader is 1.7)Quote:

Hello I have FEC installed but i cant manage to show shipping change option on checkout_shipping page.
please advise.
I'm having this same problem. If there's a free shipping item only in the cart, and then "Free shipping" shows up as the only option. BUT free shipping's radio button isn't checked. As soon as you check it, the page reloads, and again, the button isn't checked. The page simply reloads every time you check it. I've searched this thread, and I've seen the question asked, but never answered. Does anyone have an idea? Thanks!Quote:

I had fast and easy checkout installed for me by Numinix on my main website (zen cart version 1.3.9h) and noticed that the "continue shopping" button on the shopping cart page didnt work anymore, when clicked - it basically reverts to "page not found".
Ive got more confident about doing my own installs and have just today installed fast and easy checkout on another 1.3.9h site and have the same problem with the "continue shopping". No other problems, just this.
Its already cause a problem with a customer.
Have it installed and noticed when i try to check out, shipping addres is in AU, it should choose flat fee of 10 $,but it chooses flat fee of 40-to ship abroad and when I click to chnage it to AU and then "contionue check out", it still remembers the international shipping fee and nothing gets changed at the end.anybody had similar issue?what did u do?

this happens generally if customer orders something,first time everything works fine and if he/she does not log out after ck out completed and buys another thing,than the shipping fe is set as described above:(Iam just testing my shop for all possible bugs now

Anyway, the main problem is:
I have fast and easy checkout module installed and my zencart version is:v1.3.9g and when customer chooses the product to buy he has 3 options:
1)check out as a guest
2)as an existing member(so log in)
3)PayPalExpress check out
WHen he clicks on option 3) he is directed to blank page and that is it...I am not sure,whether it is because my shop is not live yet.
If customer chooses one of first 2 options then he can pay by bank deposit ONLY,there is no more options offered during checkout process after he logged in, like bank deposit OR Paypal Express. Do u have the same thing or smth is definetely wrong with mine?

I have a Zencart 1.3.9h deployment where the coupon redemption button does not work on the checkout window. I type in the coupon code, press Update and nothing happens. If I hit Enter, the coupon will be applied correctly to the checkout price.
Also after the coupon is applied, it turns up as a hyperlink near the dialog, but clicking on it does not do anything (I believe a popup window with the coupon info should open).
Anyone knows what's wrong, or where is the relevant code so that I can start looking at what went wrong?
Coupon redemption works fine if I disable the Fast And Easy Checkout mod.

First I want to say this is the best mod I have seen yet.
Ok, now my issue.
When performing a checkout (one-page or not) if the customer clicks on the "Change Address" button, the process displays a "light-box" style popup with a circular progress bar. And then it just sits there doing nothing.
I have tried to find the error but cannot. Any help would be appreciated.

At the moment it is not a "live" store and only contains a demo product.

This is fixed, the problem was that the CSS javascript loader modifies html_header.php that my template modified as well, and they were not merged properly.Quote:

What version are you running? The Zencart mod download area contains 1.8.1 as latest, but http://www.numinix.com (who developed the mod) have 1.9.4.
The only difference that I am aware of between the the site that works and the one that does not is that the former runs 1.9.4, the later runs 1.8.1. Both sites run Zencart 1.3.9h.

I downloaded the latest from Numinix.
Now the change address sort of works. If I turn off the popup change address it works fine.
The popup one sort of works. It doesn't popup, it navigates to a new page that contains the popup version of the change address.
Any idea where to look next???

Hmmm, it's not an easy install...
I've been trying to do this and it just won't work for me. I have several mods installed that have altered a few of the same files: orders.php, super_orders.php, create_account.php, etc.
I've used Beyond Compare and have merged my altered files with the fec files. Is this correct or should I be doing a more detailed manual merge? I've tried to merge and remerge but I get the same error. As soon as I try to log in I get an error.
Also, when I upload the SQL code I get an error about the "permanent account holders". I don't use COWOA...could this be a problem?

Okay I'm trying to install this mod again. I've installed the css/js loader ( I think)....

I have merged ALL of the files with my current files. Uploaded into the proper directories and ran the SQL files.
I know a lot of problems usually lie in the merging process. Could fec possibly be overwriting lines that are used by other mods that I have intstalled when I run the merge?
I can't even get CSS/JS loader to work. I see both of the boxes under "configurations" but they're both blank. I want this to (css/js loader & fast & easy checkout) work.
In regards to the COWOA, am I correct in assuming that fec has this integrated? I tried to install the COWOA mod at and earlier time and couldn't get it to work. Could a conflict be caused because of this? :cry:

I'm at a loss here.
Trying to stop FEC from opening a jQuery window when people want to change their shipping adress while checking out.
I can see in the link it relates to a 'rel="facebox" ' but can't find where to shut that system off.
Can anyone help?

With FEC Enabled, When checking out with PayPal Express get a continuous "LOOPING" after hitting Continue, goes right back to Payment page. I thought this was due to customer entering a Different address then his PayPal address, but I just checked and he entering in the cart the SAME address as his PayPal address.
Any ideas?

I have been using this mod successfully for a while.
Recently I had some issues with Paypal IPN and tried to switch to Paypal Express Checkout, but some features of this mod stopped working.
Without Paypal Express Checkout I can add some products to my shopping cart as a not logged in customer and hit Checkout. This takes me to a page where I can either log in, checkout without an account (there is a button for it), or create and account. This is the correct behavior.
With Paypal Express Checkout after hitting Checkout I get to a page where I can either log in or click on a Sign Up button that takes me to a new page tocreate an account. Also the text and buttons are completely mis-aligned on this page. So my nice Fast And Easy Checkout page that allowed me to login/create account/checkout without an account is completely screwed up.
I am using Zencart 1.3.9h. The FEC module is the latest from the Numinix web site.
Anyone knows how to fix this?

I have FEC 1.9.4 installed on a fresh 1.39h zencart. It al works fine, except for two minor things.
We require our customers to check the Privacy Notice checkbox. When a customer fills in the create account form hits the send button, he gets the message to check the Privacy Notice. The problem the form is empty again so he has to fill in everything again. This didn't happen in the clean zencart without FEC. Is there a solution?
Second problem. Customer also have to check the Terms and Conditions box. if they forget the order is made anyway. No error messages.

I solved Problem 2 (checkout without account was able to be done without agreeing with privacy notice):
you have to add something to quick_checkout.php. I am not sure if it matters where, but I did it behind this part:

Hello. I have been looking around and cannot seem to find the answer. I know the COWOA Mod by iteself has the track order/order status feature where you put in your email and order number. Does the COWOA with FEC have this ability? If so what is the link for the customer to go to?

Help someone! Here's what's going on. I was able to find the most current version of the css/jscript loader. I have installed the necessary files and updated the sql patch.
When I'm in my admin screen when I click the CSS/JSCRIPT loader box under my configurations tab I don't have any options. I can see "Title, Value, Action" along the top but nothing below. I don't know what to do. I've tired to reinstall the entire css jscript loader but nothing changes in my admin to even turn this feature on. HELP... :cry:
I finally got the css jscript loader installed! I found a post in the Numinex forum from May 2010 regarding this. I needed to process the uninstall sql patch for the loader. After that I also needed to run this sql patch:Quote:

Just wondering is there any way of changing the text on the FEC Confirmation screen - "Your order is been processed, Please wait" to an image (I know the text can be changed from the admin/configuration) - I was thinking of putting in an ajax type .gif image.

Also, after installing FEC - when a customer chooses to checkout via COWOA the standard new account email is sent - Is this a bug? or is there something I need to do to ensure an email with no account references is sent instead - or possibly no email to be sent!?

Tried merging a backup of orders.php but STILL the same.
Ok got it working but now Super_Oders 3 gives an datrabase read error.
In the admin/super_orders.php the is a call to: TABLE_CUSTOMERS_ADMIN_NOTES

Missing payment options??
Can anyone help? I have 3 options available. When fec is on it will only show 2. When it is off...all 3 are there again.
Any ideas? They're each activated.

I removed everything as specified, but now on my website "login" page, the title of billing is now this:

Fast and Easy Checkout for Zen Cart is activated by loading an extra_configures file called checkout.php before the filenames.php file. This causes definitions for the checkout links to be defined to direct customers to the new integrated checkout page.
The file is uploaded... is it in the wrong spot maybe? Could really use some help on this. Thanks guys. Hello I have enabled the one page checkout. I want Shipping on the left and payment on the right side by side, which it is by default. Under Shipping I want the discount div (which I have edit the checkout.css to:I cannot get this to work. I'm going round in circles now. :frusty:
I just upgraded my test site from 1.3.9d to 1.3.9h. Everything seemed to be working except that when I try to log in as a customer I enter the name and password and then the login screen just redraws but goes nowhere -- and there's no error message.
I assumed something about the upgrade had upset FEC, which was installed and working fine on 1.3.9d, so I tried renaming the includes/extra_configures/checkout.php file, as mentioned in the docs, to disable FEC. Didn't help.
I then tried running FEC's uninstall.sql file and then the install.sql file. Well, it uninstalled FEC just fine (it's no longer appearing in the admin under Configuration) but the install file won't complete. It says...

Hi MS_X I saw you had also posted this question on the NUMINIX forums and I found the answer posted here, but under a different section. It's not directly related to the FEC add on, but kind of is...lol. AJEH provided the answer, basically you need to go into your Admin/Modules/Shipping and make sure that ot_shipping is turned to "true". For some reason it got turned to false when FEC got installed and I was having the same problem as you! Hope it helps. Not to worry. I've stopped going 'round in circles. I used phpMyAdmin to clear that table, then re-ran the install sql file. It worked. But along the way I got so many things mixed up that I just made a new DB and imported up-to-date info from my live site (which I had to do anyway.) I love the Fast & Easy Checkout!
I would like to make one change in the order of where the Discount Coupon box appears but I can not figure out how to do it.
I am using a single column and ZC 1.3.9h if that helps.
Right now at checkout the order is:
Shopping Cart Contents and then Discount coupon.
I would like to reverse that so the Discount Coupon is first on the page and then the Shopping Cart Contents.
Does anyone know how to do this?

i ordered the FEC with installation but no one has contacted me so i installed it myself.

Perhaps you had COWOA or an earlier version of FEC installed at some point in the past? That error is telling you there is already an entry in the DB where the install sql is trying to make an entry. Go into your control panel on the server and (if you're comfortable with this sort of stuff) delete the duplicate entry using phpMyAdmin or a similar tool, and then re-run the install.

You could try moving blocks of coding around on the shopping cart page (includes/templates/your_template/templates/tpl_shopping_cart_default.php). I don't think there's a setting for it in the admin.Quote:

Solved it. Use this id = #onePageText. Then style it like you would with any other class or id..

I believe i have a problem with FEC but i cannot figure it out. I have searched high and low and I have contacted my host server support people and they are no help.
Here is the situation. I was in the process of updating a whole bunch of categories and products in my zencart when i got an error stating i exceeded mySQL tranaction limit. So...i waited awhile and couldn't get back into mySQL. I had to change my password, i changed my password. Then i couldn't get into my zencart, i did a little research and changed the following to match my new password:
includes/configure.php
admin/includes/configure.php
I was then able to get into mySQL,zencart admin, and zencart store. Everything works except checking out! When i try to check out or try to pay through paypal i get this error:

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

I have spent the last 12 hours racking my brain! I have checked and double checked all PHP files, permissions on files, database info and cannot find out why the check out is not working.
The checkout function was working before i got any errors.

I have installed Fast and EAsy Checkout created by Numix, I installed the most recent version on their site and have searched all the forums for the last two hours and can't find an answer.
I don't use super orders or magic seo so I'm not sure what the issue is.

everything works great until I checkout, then it just stays on the screen and says

Im having a bit of a problem with the checkout procedure after installing FEC. The version I installed is 1.8.0. , my zen cart version is 1.3.8a. (I already had COWOA installed before installing FEC)
The thing is, when people checkout without an account, which is set as default, the customers do not get a confirmation email of the order. And needer do we.
However, when the checkout is made by a customer who is registered at the site, so he has a password, the confirmation email DOES get send!
I do not get what could cause this, and I have yet to find out how I can go about solving it.
Any suggestions, advice, (or answers!) are greatly appreciated.

I have installed this mod and I like it, but I can not make it working.
Infact, when in admin I activate Easy Sign Up and Login setting to true line, I can not enter my customer account with my email and password.
If I set Easy Sign Up and Login to false, I then can enter my customer account without problems.
After having translated alla the defines, I found this problem.
The most important function can not be used!

Hi, I'm getting an error when I click "Change address":

I guess I could enable ini_set, but it seems that is important for security. Any way I can make FEC not need that feature to work?

You don't say whether the warning is displayed on a page, or just in your logs. If it's on a page that's not good, but if the call isn't essential putting an "@" in front of it "@ini_set" will stop it being output.

It is appearing on the page, not just the logs. But the functionality is fine, and adding @ did the trick for getting rid of the message.
Im using zencart 1.3.8 and downloaded fast easy checkout 1.8.0 as its suitable for my version of zencart.
I have a couple of problems with shipping address.
1). If you fill in shipping address in the create account section it isnt saved.
2). The state dropdwon refuses to be a dropdown box
3). when filling in shipping address on the confrim order page, you are given a text field not a drop down. It the errors and says to use a drop down box, you are then presented with a drop down box.
I have tried the latest version from the Numinix website but it didnt work at all. I guess this is because its for a later version of zencart.
Any help or pointer to the right files to mend this would be helpful.

Well problem one was solved as I had an overide file for modules/CUSTOM/create-account. This also allowed a dropdown for state on the create account page.Quote:

as well as "Copy Billing" enabled
In the "Billing Address" section of the login page
if I change the country the State/Province list updates
In the "Shipping Address" section of the login page
if I change the country the State/Province list DOES NOT update.

I've installed the FEC module for my zen cart (1.3.9h)
Everything working fine until i have modify certain wordings in the zones.php located in language folder.
When i clicked on check out,
the page show blank with the url (index.php?main_page=checkout) instead of the normal (index.php?main_page=checkout&fecaction=null)
Anyone has any idea how to solve this issue?

Solution found.
Use notepad to edit the language file instead of Dreamweaver.
The FEC now recognize Zone.php again

The appearance of words in that format means that you have a language file missing or corrupted.
Do you know how this can be fixed? I hired the company who created this mod to install it so I am not sure why they did not notice it.Quote:

Check if all files are uploaded properly. That content should be in your language folder. Because it is checkout page look for checkout.php in includes/languages/english/checkout.php. Instead of english type whatever language you use. In checkout.php I have found definition that says:Quote:

ZC 1.3.9h, Latest version of FEC is installed, COWOA and EasySignUp are enabled, "COWOA only" is disabled. I tried disabling FEC and EasySignUp but with no effort. Just to mention, checkout over COWOA is working properly.
Another question: if I enable "COWOA only" nothing changes, registration form is still there. Is that normal behaviour?
Hope that someone had similar problem and can help me.

I've scoured this thread and others with no luck. I have installed the FOC module successfully and all appears to be working except when I try to use PayPal Express, the checkout button creates a loop back to the same page. Others have posted this same issue with no solid resolve.
Can i use express? Should I even bother considering the difficulty?
Btw, I am using the latest zen cart version, youtube mod and the required CJ loader mod.
