Re: Easy Populate support for Version 1.2.5.4
cudaboy71 - (Edit - Sorry miss read your post),each product has a unique ref check your database for any errors or products that have not been deleted properly.
Reno - Use version 1.2.5.4 from modhole as this is a proven version the others are new or old versions which are buggy(Unless you are good at php and want to fault find). Install that version and then download the different files and you will see how EP works, its quiet good really:clap:

misty, thanks for the quick response. I'm still having a problem understanding what the above means. does the admin folder (which i renamed to easypopulate) go inside the zen cart admin or inside the admin includes? or am i supposed to break it up and put the easypopulate.php file inside the admin and the easypopulate/includes folder inside the admin/includes folder. and it seems from the directions that the temp folder is supposed to go in the root. If someone could just tell me the to path each file/folder after it's placed in the zen cart that would be great. Thank god for forums!
Re: Easy Populate support for Version 1.2.5.4
relspeedwagon - When you unzip the files for EP you will have in the folder these folders:-
Folders :-
admin
temp
Plus some files, one a SQL file and the others txt files of docs.
If you open up your folder files of Zencart you will see : -
admin
cache
cgi_bin
download
editors
email
extras
etc etc
As Misty states you open the admin folder of Zencart and then open the admin folder of EP and place the files from EP into you Zencart folder copying the file structure one file at a time opening the next folder and then placing that file into the same named folder as in Zencart. All you are doing is copying EP into Zencart like for like...
For example :
in EP zip file you have
admin/easypopulate.php this goes in your Zencart files as => admin/easypopulate.php
admin/includes/boxes/extraboxes/easypopulate_tools_dhtml.php this goes in your Zencart files as => admin/includes/boxes/extraboxes/easypopulate_tools_dhtml.php
etc. etc. etc.
so in your Zencart files you would then have these files in admin/includes/boxes/extraboxes/
easypopulate_tools_dhtml.php
linkpoint_review_customers_dhtml.php
product_music_extras_dhtml.php
convert_type_tools_dhtml.php
Buy e-Start Your Web Store with Zen Cart and you will start to understand this better, and don't try this on your live store, as you need to do a little more work understanding how Zencart and php works.
Re: Easy Populate support for Version 1.2.5.4
Scrat you are a life saver! I don't know why I thought the files needed to stay in the configuration they were in. I kept thinking it was like a wordpress plugin. Boy was I wrong. I'm going to buy the book asap. I actually meant to do it last night but all the comments I found on it said it didn't offer any help with easy populate, so I put it off. But I'll do it now. Thanks for making that clear for me!
Re: Easy Populate support for Version 1.2.5.4
I have a few problems with my zen cart still. I was wondering if there was anyone on here who could have a look at it for me and possibly fix it
Re: Easy Populate support for Version 1.2.5.4
relspeedwagon - E-Start doesn't have any info about EP, I was meaning getting to know Zencart in general.
Re: Easy Populate support for Version 1.2.5.4
Eddie Irvine - Post what your problems are if its to do with EP and let everyone try to help.

Thanks,
I posted up before regardig the matter. I am using easy populate to upload to the catalogue but once the items are uploaded I cannot view them in order to adjust, delete or amend.
I am also unsure as how to link image to the catagories in the store. For example on this page
http://www.jiperformance.com/store/i...7a3ad95e586f0c
you can see that some of the product catagories have images whilst some do not. It wasnt myself who did the images which you can see so im unsure how this is done.
Also unrelated but I'm not sure how you put key words and meta data into the site.
Sorry fdor all the questions but as you can guess im very new to this
Re: Easy Populate support for Version 1.2.5.4
Eddie Irvine - OK the images for your categories are in
> Categories / Products - Top > edit your categories
These are not imported via EP, so all the sub cats. will also have to be edited manually as well.
As for products not showing up to edit, thats got me
OK Fault finding again
When you import them do you get a error or does EP state the product is up dated, new...
We need to know what it is giving as a result of the import, are you giving each product a unique model ref/number as they have to unique
Going on from that if EP says inserted/updated and they still donot appear use myphpadmin to see if they appear in the dbase and report back.
Further usually by default Zencart disables out of stock products so if your stock is set to zero the product will not appear, you can change this in
>Conf.>Stock
Lets us know how you get on...
Personnel note:-
One last thing I would do is turn off your product dated added as you are now showing goods that are a year old, I know they may not change but its not really relievent if they are this old
For example:

This product was added to our catalog on Sunday 26 November, 2006.
