Re: Admin Profiles Support Thread
I followed directions provided. I *think* it applied the patch - how can I verify if it did via phpMyAdmin? But now that I login, all the menus are gone, as well as what normally shows on the admin homepage, except for Admin Home | Online Catalog | Support Site | Version | Logoff

Re: Admin Profiles Support Thread
I just installed it and screwed my Admin all up. No all I am getting is a white page. I want to un-install but not sure which files you mean when it says this
"Our first objective is to replace the Zen Cart files that Admin Profiles changes
admin/admin.php
admin/alt_nav.php
admin/includes/header_navigation.php
admin/includes/languages/english.php
admin/includes/functions/general.php"
What do we replace these with? I am so upset because my admin is completely gone and at this point in time it looks like i may have to totally redo my site. If you could tell me which files i use to replace those i would appreciate it. Maybe it will help.

You replace them with files inside the folder "install".

Re: Admin Profiles Support Thread
I have worked on this for almost 24 hours. I am now getting this:
1146 Table 'scrapsnc_znc1.znc_admin_menu_headers' doesn't exist
in:
[SELECT id FROM znc_admin_menu_headers WHERE header = 'Configuration']
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
Is there anyone to manually run this? I have no navigation header now and can't go to tools. Is the admin completely wasted or can it be fixed? Thanks for any help.

Me too, I also got a blank page, nothing comes out now.
I stuck at the readme.html:
Step 3
...
Patch Two
Also in admin/admin.php, replace the line that begins 'text' => '<a href="' . zen_href_link(FILENAME_ADMIN with ... (line 316 in Zen Cart 1.3.9h)
...
There is no such line at all in my admin.php

Re: Admin Profiles Support Thread
Is the author still around? I made some improvements, now the admin homepage shows statistics, customers and orders (like a normal admin homepage) BUT menus are still missing and when I click on, say, an order, I get this:
Sorry, your security clearance does not allow you to access this resource.
Please contact your site administrator if you believe this to be incorrect.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
I have logged in with my original admin credentials (the only one I have) which is a level 1 in the DB. I did follow the instructions exactly as they were - I think (and hope). What could be the problem?

Installed Admin Profiles, New AltNav is not Working
Hi I'm having the same issue. I have compared the original altnav that came with my Zen Cart install, I've got 1.3.9h installed. I did the patch and followed all the directions, and I have installed AdminProfiles (which is flippin' awesome, btw!) on about 5 other sites, sooo I am not sure why my altnav has completely disappeared. Help :)

Hi - Are you positive about that? Did you search using your texteditor's search function and carefully compare? Because in every Zen site I have modified with this mod, that line is present. However, it may not be on line 316, that is just where it usually is. Look around your admin.php file some more and make certain it's not there. Good luck! :)

Hi there, I just figured out the issue I am having - do you have Apsona ShopAdmin installed as well as Admin Profiles? They do not play well together and no fix has been found yet, to my knowledge. Try uninstalling Apsona and see if that fixes your problem.
Here is a page that tells how to uninstall Apsona:

I am about to take these steps and will let you know how it works out.
Thanks! Good luck :)

Server 500 error
Hi, I've just loaded admin_profiles_v1_1_1 to my development website (v1.3.9h) on a laptop running Apache, not before spending a few hours trying to debug a server 500 error.
The first bit of good news is the problem disappeared when I deleted the .ds_store files included in the download.
The second bit of good news is I think this is going to be one of the most useful modules ever.
Hope this helps, happy new year everyone.
Phil

Glad you like it, but I wouldn't recommend this approach.
Admin Profiles functions was integrated into Zen Cart 1.5 and extended, which is why I stopped developing it as an independent module.
So my recommendation to you, and anybody else needing this functionality would be to upgrade to the latest version of Zen Cart (actually that's my recommendation even if you don't need this functionality ).

Re: Admin Profiles Support Thread
After trying several times to get this to work (it used to work when I was using zen 1.3.5) and i could log in, view orders but couldn't view any of the orders cause "i wasn't privileged to view it", I followed directions to uninstall it. It got worse. now the whole admin is a white page. FML!

Re: Admin Profiles (for v1.3.x only!) Support Thread
This is an awesome add-on, and the ZC 1.5 functionality is fantastic as well.
Has anyone had any luck modifying either this mod or ZC 1.5's functionality to restrict individual admin users to certain product categories?
-
Re: Admin Profiles (for v1.3.x only!) Support Thread
I am using 1.3.9h and after I installed Admin Profiles I am able to see all the menus however when ever I select one I get this error:
Sorry, your security clearance does not allow you to access this resource....
There is only one admin (me) and the admin id = 1, admin_level=0
What could be the problem?

Hi ikernbecauseicare,
I seem to have the same problem as you encountered, and was wondering if you came up with a solution for this.
Would appreciate a response to this.
Thanks.

Re: Admin Profiles (for v1.3.x only!) Support Thread
Hi....
Sorry I originally posted this question in the wrong place, I am re posting it here.
I just installed Apsona in my ZC 1.3.8 store.
The problem is, after I installed Apsona, and click on apsona under tools to start up, I am getting the below message:
Quote:
Sorry, your security clearance does not allow you to access this resource.
Please contact your site administrator if you believe this to be incorrect.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
I have Admin Profiles, I believe the version I have is admin_profiles_1-0-7-1 but not positive on that.
So anyway I went into Admin Settings in admin, and the apsona permissions box is there, I check it to grant myself permission to get access to Apsona, and I still can't get in, still get the above message.
So I went into admin settings again, and even though I previously checked the permissions box for apsona and clicked on save changes, the box remained un checked. So apparently for some reason admin settings is not saving my permission changes for this new mod (I am assuming the above message was generated by admin settings mod).
The reason why I need admin profiles in this older store - I am setting up a new ZC store version 1.5 on different server, and I need to export some data with Apsona so I can upload to the new store - I realize that this functionality is built in to the new store but need to get some older data out of the old store.
Any idea what I can do to solve this?
Thanks.

Re: Admin Profiles (for v1.3.x only!) Support Thread
When I "Click on Permissions icon (white p in an orange circle) for the user whose permissions you want to edit.", I get
Sorry, your security clearance does not allow you to access this resource.
Please contact your site administrator if you believe this to be incorrect.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
Please how do I fix this problem? Thanks.

At least I can access my Admin now, if not directly access Apsona....can get to it round about....but would be nice to fine how to fix this error.
One other thing, on the Admin Settings panel, I get the "permissions" icon twice, not sure why...
It works, if you change the file apsona_app_tools_dhtml.php under extra boxes like this:
<?php
$za_contents[] = array('text' => "Apsona ShopAdmin", 'link' => zen_href_link(FILENAME_APSONA_SHOPADMIN, '', 'NONSSL'));
?>
Note:
the whole file have only this text, nothing else and the Apsona will open straight without a pop up function but you can handle that with your short cut keys when clicking the link that you get it open in another tab or window if you wish.

Re: Admin Profiles Support Thread
Need help STAT.
I just follwed all th einstructions to a 'T' and I am getting this:
"1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'apsona_index');'' at line 1
in:
[SELECT id FROM admin_files WHERE page = '#" title="Apsona ShopAdmin - opens in new window" onclick="apsona_showPopup('apsona_index');']
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields."
I can now no longer access anything...all I see is the menu ribbon at the top and when I try to access anythign it gives this error.

Re: Admin Profiles Support Thread
I had a restore of my admin path...all is OK now but I would still like to install this mod...I am using the Apsona ShopAdmin mod. Is this uncompatble with it and is there problems with the query language used in the install patch? Should that install patch be run in the window in admin? I did a browse and upload.

Admin Profile functionality is now included (and improved upon) by default in Zen Cart 1.5.

i'm busy whit upgrade my store to version 1.5.0 (it on a localhost) looking of de module still works. but i'll ran into an problem. it's an beautiful addision the admin profiles, but most of the modules only works for superuser. if got one module that works well "sales report", but i can figure it out why that one work, and the other ones not.
if install easy populate too ( but that one only work for superuser too)
not for users whit an other profile ( and il check it on at admin profile settings)
does any one have the same problem?

Re: Admin Profiles (for v1.3.x only!) Support Thread
Admin Profiles 1.3.9 users: if you use the Pinterest.com Pin It Button mod, you must REMOVE the ".com" from the configuration_group entry for this mod; otherwise, you won't be able to turn on the configuration page for this button in admin profiles (you will check the button and do a save but the save won't stick). This issue has been fixed in 1.5.1 (and probably 1.5.0) where admin profiles is built in, but it does affect the 1.3.x Admin Profiles mod.
Removing all the ".com" strings from the install.sql file is probably the easiest way to do this.
If you have already installed Pinterest and are having this problem, go into mysql and modify the configuration_group table to change "Pinterest.com Pin-It Button" to "Pinterest Pin-It Button", then make the same change in the admin_files table.

If you check the plugins that don't work, my bet is that they have their filename (usually in a .php file present in /YOUR_ADMIN/includes/extra_datafiles) in the form
Code:
define('MY_PLUGIN_FILENAME', 'my_plugin.php');
The trailing .php causes a mismatch in the plugin validation for non-superusers because only the 'basename' of the plugin is included in the search. You can correct the problem (on a plugin-by-plugin basis) by modifying the extra_datafile to read
Code:
define('MY_PLUGIN_FILENAME', 'my_plugin');

Re: Admin Profiles (for v1.3.x only!) Support Thread
Hi There,
I was wondering if there is a way to modify a file to disable admin profiles mod?
I'm using zen cart 1.39h. Been using admin profiles without issues for a couple years and made no changes.
For some unknown reason my admin login stopped working. The admin email also apparently is incorrect.
I have run a sql query (http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?44) and added an admin account.
I CAN login to admin now BUT can't edit anything as admin profiles mod is blocking access.
"Sorry, your security clearance does not allow you to access this resource.
Please contact your site administrator if you believe this to be incorrect.
Sorry for any inconvenience."
Under tools I can't see the admin profiles option.
I'd rather not un install the whole mod if there is a better option would be great.
Any help appreciated!

Re: Admin Profiles (for v1.3.x only!) Support Thread
Thanks anyways for above question.
Managed to sort it out!
Edited the admin_id number in admin table in sql. (to 1 for the admin profile I made)
Able to then gain access and change password.
Thanks.

Re: Admin Profiles Support Thread
I am using 1.3.9h. I installed admin profiles 1.1.1. I followed directions provided and installed the patch through the admin cp. And then my admin account was limited! I tried reversing changes, per readme and now I can't even access the admin profile at all! It's a blank page! I've been pulling my hair out for months and I can't figure it out. I've posted here and no help. Here's the link: http://bit.ly/SJcMig

Zen cart 1.5.x already has the admin profiles intergrated in it, so you do not need this module anymore

Re: Admin Profiles Support Thread
Thank you, Design75. I didn't pay attention to that. I was misguided by
http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?...ation-settings
which says Zen Cart 1.6 will integrate the function.
