Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's
Does anybody know why, sometimes, when I visit my website it seems that the url's are not being "SEO'd"...?? When I hit F5 to refresh, everything cleans right up. It's like it takes a second or two before the SEO starts kicking in. Very strange.
Check it out yourself and hover your mouse over the categories on the left. Notice the url's, then refresh the screen. Then notice them.

And it will do it every time you close your browser and reopen it. (as long as your cache is cleared every time you exit firefox or ie)
Very strange!

Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's
Another day another (small problem)
The SEO on my pages has changed slightly. For example, in the past it would read:
http://www.handcrafteduk.com/ethnicg...rs-c-3_46.html
but now there are some - in the address and it reads
http://www.handcrafteduk.com/ethnic-...rs-c-3_46.html
Google has indexed my pages in the old version so i don't want that to change. Strangely, both versions of the link work.
Does anyone know what file I can alter (and how!) so that I can get the l go back to my previous version?
Many thanks,
Gary
Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's
Hi canemasters,
Which version of zen are you running and, which version of the SEO URL have you installed?
Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's
Hello,
Can anybody kindly tell me which SEO module works the best for Zencart 1.3.8?
The seo_urls. 3.0.0-beta 1 or Ultimate_SEO_URLs_v2.106?
I am confused. Why seo_urls. 3.0.0-beta 1 has higher version number?
Lina

I am having trouble with SEO URLS after upgrading to 1.3.8a
Not sure if it is self-inflicted, but haven't had much luck with support...
No experience with the other product you mentioned.
Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's
I am having trouble to get the new SEO urls to work in my menu.
I do get redirected to the correct seo url, but the links in my menu are still the old ones.
The .htacces file is in the correct folder and I have changed the /shop/ to / as / is my zencart folder.
I have tried several options in de config section of seo urls. If i disable the automatic redirects (as recommended in the readme file) than the SEO urls don't work at al.
My site is http://crazygifts.nl
I have zencart 1.3.7 and SEO url 2.106

If you're talking about the ?zenid=blahblahblah stuff.. thats normal. When a visitor first opens up your website a session needs to be created, and afterwards its stored in a cookie, which is why you no longer see ?zenid=blahblahblah on your URL's afterwards.

And what happens if the visitor has cookies turned off??

Thanks. That explains it.
I'm running ZC 1.3.8 with ultimate_seo_urls_2.106
Re: Chemo's Ultimate URL's
When clicking a category I was getting a URL not found error. This was caused by the htaccess file missing the leading dot in the filename. Added it and SEO works perfectly! Hope this helps someone.
