Categories Dressing

I am modifying

includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/premium4a/categories_dressing_defines.php

tried to duplicate the files there, saved then refreshed my main page to see if anything happen,

i modified this

the word "text" appear under main_page=index&cPath=46

i can't get it.. what are the use of 3','1|0|?

As the readme describes, 'CAT_BOX_HEADING_3' is an example of creating a heading for category id #3. There is no connection to category 46 except that category 3 (your "books") follows it. You now show the example headings for category 3, and an example image replacement for the category 3 name text.

To eliminate those, comment out the line you show, and delete the example image
/includes/templates/your_template/buttons/english/catimg3.gif.

i think i need to read more because whenever i changed numbers some images came up like Sale and buy now! :shocking:

what i just wanna do is to have 5 headings.

You need to know the cPath for each category where you want a heading, create a define for each of them, and comment out all the rest of the defines.

Each define should have only the content needed to make the heading you want. What kinds of headings do you want?

i tried it and this is the code that was left out in categories_dressing_defines.php but i can't duplicate it..

anyway these are the headings i want

i want to remove the "Categories" and will replace it with headings such as

Collectors Catalog

Stamps and Numismatics

Tribal Weapons

Tribal Adornments

Baskets

but i found out after moving categories that some goes under different headings.

for example...

and all items with cpath (?) #40 and above goes to it.

can i specify all the items that should go under that heading even with cpath below #40?

You can set the sort order for each category in its editing page. The headings are associated with a particular category; there is not a way to automatically have certain categories sort themselves under a heading, so you have to manually make sure that the heading goes on the first category you want in a group.
