Also try re-downloading the Super Orders files again.. It's possible that there was some file corruption in your download or even when the files were uploaded..
I am quite sure that the zencart installation is correct, I have installed other mods in my previous installation without problem. I also tried to redownload and reupload the SO3 files again. All I need is the 2 core folders rite? and sure I have rename the admin folder. Anything that I would miss?
Will there be any conflict with other database in mysql? I have an orignal database which is live, and 2-3 database created these 2 days for testing.
Re: Super Orders v3.0 Support Thread
1 more point, even the admin/login.php returns blank page
Re: Super Orders v3.0 Support Thread
There is NOTHING in the PDF packingslip file that should cause the error you are describing...
UNLESS
You are not running PHP 5..
:huh:Doh!!! I was tired and busy as heck on Saturday when you first posted.. Don't know why I didn't PAY ATTENTION.. I sorta just generally assumed that mosts hosts no longer supported PHP 4.. My bad..
In the testing environments of ALL of the beta testers and developers of this mod we were all running SQL 5.2 or better and PHP 5.2.x or better.
This mod was specifically tested to make sure that it was not only PHP 5.3 compatible, but backwards compatible for those hosts still running PHP 5.2.x. If your hosting environment is running a version of PHP lower than 5.2.x than THAT would be the reason you are getting this error.
Your server is probably currently running version 4.x of php. Do you have the ability to upgrade? Who is your hosting through? Most of the major hosting providers (Godaddy, ipower, gator, etc) have some form of 5 running. Sometimes you can switch between version 4 and 5.

I appreciate your help a lot, thanks!
I am using godaddy hosting. Any idea where I can check and change the php version? I am very green about it.
thanks!
Re: Super Orders v3.0 Support Thread
Ahhh GoDaddy.. Dunno why they still allow PHP 4 on their servers.. But that is why they aren't a favorite hosting company 'round these parts..
Contact GoDaddy.. They'll be able to walk you through it.. I'm afraid I don't host with them so I don't know what their upgrade procedure is.. PLUS.. a detailed discussion on how to update your hosting environment is off topic for this support thread.. (I hope you understand..)
Once your hosting envoronment is updated to PHP 5, you should find that this error goes away..

Re: Super Orders v3.0 Support Thread
Thanks for your reply.
I just log in godaddy and checked that the php version is PHP 4.x
I knew it maybe off topic, but would you let me know, if I upgrade it to PHP5, will it probably matter to other mods? Besdies, does the PHP version has anything related to the database?
I am going to contact godaddy for upgrading the PHP
Thanks!

Dunno:wacko:.. I will be happy to discuss how a PHP5 upgrade will affect Super Orders (though you have already seen that 1st hand). However, a full blown discussion on how PHP5 will affect your other mods is off-topic and is really a subject for the support threads for those other mods you are running..
OR
you can create a seperate thread on JUST that topic with details of the mods you have questions about.
Contact GoDaddy.. They are the best folks to help you upgrade..
In the meantime, I will be updating the Super Orders documentation for the next release to to include information on which version of PHP and mySQL are supported..

I have upgraded to PHP5.x and the admin page is working normally now! great thanks!
however, when I run super_orders_install_v30.sql, there is an error message
1060 Duplicate column name 'split_from_order'
in:
[ALTER TABLE orders ADD split_from_order INT DEFAULT '0' NOT NULL, ADD is_parent TINYINT (1) DEFAULT '1' NOT NULL;]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
It maybe due to I have tried installing SO2.0 for testing before. But I am sure I have already run uninstall_super_orders_prior_versions.sql, I also run super_orders_uninstall_v30.sql
but there is still error message. Thanks in advance for your time
Re: Super Orders v3.0 Support Thread
You have three options:- Re-Run the uninstall SQL again (please note any errors you receive) and then re-run the install script again..
- Run the install script again and skip the code that is causing errors
- Using your database admin tool (most hosts use phpMyAdmin) go in and reverse all the changes made to the database to support Super Orders and re-run the install script
(sorry I cannot provide detailed instructions on how to use phpMyAdmin - if you are not familiar with working directly with the database, you should get someone who does to help you with this or you can seek a professional and pay them to do this work for you)
Now that said, this is only a test store, and we could spend A LOT of time figuring out how to fix this error (it is exactly as it reads.. the column already exists - proably a result of your previous install efforts) and why you can't get the install or uninstall scripts to work, but I think for a test store this is a waste of your time.. TRULY what i sugest is that you rolll this entire test store back to a vanilla Zen Cart install. Start over with your Super Orders install and then you can move forward (finally).

That's right, I will choose to have a clean install again! Thank you very much for your time! You have been very helpful!
