Does this affect those who opted to use the instock/outofstock instead of displaying quantities? What do you mean by text attribute? I figure file attributes means for a downloadable file?Quote:

This is a great module and some really good stuff in this thread.
I have a of question.
If you do not set up a product variant with stock but someone goes and purchases something with a variant is it possible to get the table to update and put in -1 in stock.
At the moment from having tested this my understanding is that the main stock quantity gets deleted but nothing added to / created in the variant table to identify this.
This would avoid setting up every product and variant with zero stock to get this mod recording everything.
I do not necessarily hold stock of all items at the moment but this would be a great feature to help with stock check/back order tracking.

Hi guys, I dont see many girls around here!
I have been reading all these posts, and Ive successfully installed the mod. ;)
My problem is that in my products Variant cell it appears a :
And when I clic on Add Quantity For Product Variant to add a new product variant, it appears a display menu with these options, repeated many times: (+$0).
What does that mean? I have a tshirts store, and I just want to see sizes and colors as variants, but I only see :
Can Anyone please help me out, Im new to all this stuff!

PD. I apologize, because Im sure my question is silly.
OK, I just solved my prob.
It was because I have configured a second language, and when I added my products attributes, I didnt give them a name in english. So I just did that!

Ok, this time I really need your help, guys!
In the beggining, I was getting negative numbers in my inventory after someone selected more items than available in stock.
So, as I read here, I went to Configuration/Stock/Allow check Out, and switch it to false. That was enough to avoid people could go beyond the shopping cart.
My problem is that, they dont receive an error message when they try to continue after the shopping cart. When users press the continue button, the page only refreshes. Id like that it would appear a message telling them something like "theres no enough quantity, please change your amount".
Is that possible, anyone could help me, please!

The problem was as follows:
There are six types of attributes: FILE, READONLY, TEXT, DROPDOWN, CHECKBOX, and RADIO.
TEXT attributes are for entering things like text to be printed out on your T-shirt. They don't have a quantity, and so they don't get stored in the new products with attributes stock table in the database. My new query therefore did not pull those kinds of attributes out of the database because one of the query conditions compared a key in the attributes stock table to a key in one of the other tables.
What my fix does is restore the original query for TEXT attributes, so they get pulled out of the db and thus displayed. I restored the original query for FILE and READONLY attributes too, on the theory that these also don't have quantity. But I've never used either of those, so if that's incorrect, it's easily fixed :).

Studmuffin, why don't you walk through the entire installation process for this mod once more, using a file compare tool to look at the original mod files versus your current files, and see if there's something off somewhere.Quote:

Grayson, going back to your product example in your store, how did you display a swatch (and I assume any image I wish) next to the attribute details? I have looked at the product info template and cannot figure out how to modify this :blink: Also, I want to list the attributes vertically as radios rather than horizontally as you have done.

Ringy, when you define your option names for attributes, you can specify the attribute style (for each language independently, by the way).
Go to Admin::Catalog::Option Name Manager and click on edit next to an option for which you want to change the display. You'll see a gray box below it. At the bottom of the box is an explanation of the different styles you can use for images in attributes. Pick the style you want and enter that number into "Attribute Style for Radio Buttons/Checkbox". Try out a couple to see what you want.
To display them vertically, enter a 1 into "Attribute Images per Row".
You'll upload the actual swatch images for each attribute when you add the attribute to a particular product. This allows you to use the same Color: Red (for example) option name/value pair for different products, and upload a different image for each one.
