Re: News & Article Management
laughingbuddha - tried your suggestion to no avail. Template selection is like yours. I am tired and still not even 9PM here and I am ready for bed, which is rare due to I usually don't even think about bed till 1 or 2 AM. I will look into it more later.

I am getting this on my site
Poser Underground when I go to the cart
Welcome Guest! Would you like to log yourself in?
This is the main define statement for the page for english when no template defined file exists. It is located in: /includes/languages/english/index.php
Define your main Index page copy here.
What would be a fix for this?
Sorry, if I put my 2 cents, but if I understood right, you would like to change the text under the welcome guets, right?
If you dont find it where it is said to be located, try in the admin:
Tools/developers tool kit
At the bottom it says:
Quote:
Look-up in all files Key or Name:
enter part of the text you would like to change for example :
main define statement and choose in
Quote:
All Files Look-ups:
from dropdown ´All files - cataloge/admin
Hopefully you get the result where to locate the file...
Good luck...
regards,
kruna

I am not following you - what drop down are you talking about?
Re: News & Article Management
Sorry if Iwas not clear,
when you enter in admin:
tools>developers tool kit
at the bottom of the page you will find something likeLook-up in all files and the you are asked to enter some key words, in your case it could be for example main define statement (type it in there, please)
Then looking at the same line on the right, you are asked to enter WHERE to look for, it is saying
All Files Look-ups: and NONE is determined, you have to chose from this dropdown menu All files - cataloge/admin
Hit the ´search´ button and hopefully it will be shown all files containg the key words...
Please let me know, if I still was not explaining enough...
regards,
kruna
Re: News & Article Management
In that case try using my first option, and edit the file called /includes/languages/english/index.php
The includes directory is in the root of your web space.
You see my site (www.themobilephonesite.co.uk) works differntly to yours. On the site I developed the template shows products in the middle field, by-passing Zen Carts default index page.
It appears (without being able to look at your file structure) that your template doesn't work in the same way.
If you edit that file above as I mentioned in my first post, it may solve the problem.
Open it in Notepad (in Windows it's what I always use, or you could download Komodo Edit).
Open that file and edit the following line:-
define('TEXT_MAIN','This is the main define statement for the page for english when no template defined file exists. It is located in: <strong>/includes/languages/english/index.php</strong>');
So it looks something like this:-
define('TEXT_MAIN','Hi and welcome to the Poser Underground online store!');
Then save it, and upload. Always backup the old file just incase something goes wrong.

Re: News & Article Management
Does this one work well in 1.3.7 with no bug? I want to have a news section for my site and wordpress integration does not work well for me.
Regards
Re: News & Article Management
Yeah works fine with the latest version, after all I'm running it on the latest one.
Only issue I had was with the news scroller side box. Couldn't get that to work.
Right I'm on the case. I'm think some CSS magic might be the answer, just need to locate the pages that effect the layout.
Re: News & Article Management
Just to check, have you copied all the CSS files into the right place?
If you have a template like I do you need to make sure the following files are in the right place.
Make sure that stylesheet_news.css is in:-
includes/templates/Your Templates Directory Mine is delta-843/css/
Reason I ask is that the images on my news articles are aligned to the right, and not the left like yours.
