dunno if this is already covered, as I'm only quickly browsing, but for those using photoshop (techniques will apply to other editors) a good tutorial optimizing .jpg and .gif can be found here (the two articles at the bottom)
I know I found it V. Handy.
sorry to be a pest, but does anyone know of any reason why my images are not being selected as pre mentioned in my previous post?
I would really like to fix this.
Thanks
It may be something to do with the lightbox mod - I don't know because I've not had occasion to use it. I can't see how it can be anything to do with EP because your images are where they're supposed to be (although you don't appear to have re-sized them which rather defeats the purpose of the 3 sizes).
If it's possible to just turn off the lightbox, try that.
You could also try switching to the Classic template to see if the problem still occurs.
And while I remember...there's only one p in "triple" :wink2:
Hi Ryk thanks for the reply,
I will try turn off the light box mod and give that a try. i havnt resized the pictures yet i just wanted to get them working then i will replace, thanks for the spelling mistake, i will have to change that straight away. Again i appreciate the help and will update you that it works. :D
Ryk,
Thanks for the thorough information about images.
I've done some reading about GD2, and I understand the extension dynamically resizes images, which would allow us to maintain a single file of large images which are dynaically resized into smaller size.
Do you have any idea what it would take to bring that option to Zen instead of the current approach?
the Image Handler 2 contribution
You can get it here in the downloads section

Im using _SM, _LRG, _MED, images. When I add a product I get one or two additional images at the bottom saying"larger image", on the bottom of the product page? Does any one know how to turn this off or why this is happening. I searched but failed to find the answer here. Imsure its here but can't seem to find!
Thank You Gary
You don't need _SMYou haven't named the images correctlyQuote:
