Okay so I guess I need to install that as well. i don't have it.
Gee thanks for being so helpful!
chcategories is included in Categories Dressing; you just need to upload its files and make the adjustments the readme describes.
Hi I added the ch categories. In your read me it says to follow the read me for the ch categories to activate...i don't see any other read me files in this download....
HELP?
Nevermind I figured it out. Thanks anyway.
I'm having a sorting issue...for now I've just been playing with test sub cats to make sure it's right...
I have 5 sub cats under one heading. I'm using this:
define ('CAT_BOX_HEADING_80_103','0|0|||Testing 1|3');//simple text heading - style 3
to determine which sub cats belong under this heading. Now off to sorting:
I've tried different numbered sets...1,2,3; 10, 20 , 30. It seems fine until I sort my last sub cat. When I sort the last category the dressing header disappears, however my sub cats are sorted correctly.
I have also tried to remove the sort order and change them all to 0. Still one category appears on the top of my header.
Help?
Thank you.
You want all of these under Handbags, in this order?
# CHANEL
Handbags
# FENDI
# GUCCI
# HERMES
# LOUIS VUITTON
The heading is located above a specific category; you have to set it according to the first category in your group. If you want another category before the first one, you need to move the heading define to the new cat.
Since Chanel is category 80_100, that is what you need to use:
define ('CAT_BOX_HEADING_80_100','0|0|||Testing 1|3');//simple text heading - style 3
Thank you. That has put the cateogry header on the top.
However I'm still not able to sort the categories. Say for example I'd like to put it in this order:
Louis Vuitton
Chanel
Gucci
Hermes
Fendi
When I number the sort order, Louis Vuitton ends up above the header again.
Also, if I set the cateogry dressing to 80_100 do I adjust this setting if I add more categories? Confused.
Thank you for your prompt reply though! The best support on any add on so far!
Don't set up groups with headers and then sort them; sort them first, and then put the header at the top of the group.
The header is attached to a particular category, not to a group. Whichever category you want at the top of a group gets the heading.
I'm sorry I don't understand....
Right now I have the main category of Handbags setup in my admin section. I am using this header because I want it to refelct only the sub categories I have listed under Handbags. I also want the category Handbags to be hidden.
I'm a bit confused at your resopnse as well. So once I set up my categories/sub categories I need to set up the sorting BEFORE setting up the headers? What do I do when I want to add more sub categories? This doesn't make sense to me.
