It works on mine too,perfect.:smartalec:
"The official status of this issue is: The mod works with PayPal- just not with PayPal IPN. Hopefully this will change when ZenCart 2.0 is released.
but the PayPal IPN mod does this without calling any of the ZenCart notifiers. And as the RP award mod is attached to one of these notifiers, PayPal IPN does not let the RP mod know that there are points which need to be stored. Hence the problem. Contrast to this Google Checkout which runs the same way as PayPal IPN under ZenCart- It makes the correct calls and points are stored."
Hi,Andrew, is this issue fixed?
Hi,Andrew, is this issue fixed?
if the above issue is not fixed, does it mean that when a customer check out with paypal, he will not get store credit automatically?
I switched to Express Checkout instead. I believe it was mentioned earlier that Paypal IPN 'messes' with the customer data, so it's not captured in the RP when returned to the cart. With EC, it works perfectly fine.
I have removed EC button from the shopping cart and login page, so that it works like regular paypal IPN. I don't want customers to skip the registration.
we do not use Express Checkout . We only use PayPal IPN, which is most stores using.
Are you aware that you can setup the Paypal Express Checkout process to auto-register your customer. This way you offer them the express function but still have the customers as registered users on your shopping cart. All updates can then still be done using Zencart rather than having to use the Paypal interface.
Sorry for going off-topic but I just wanted to point this out. :smartalec:
Thank you for the information. Yes, I am aware of that function, but I require certain information such as birthday (because I give out bonuses for birthdays) and I also installed other mod 'referral' which will not be filled in with EC standard information. Some customers do not log in again to update the information. I had a couple of customers who did that and I had to send out separate emails to advise them to update so that they could enjoy the benefits of birthday bonus etc.
Thank you, Andrew. My question is : After the lates update, Does anyone has ever make this module work with paypal IPN ?
