Re: ozpost shipping module
Hi Rod, love this mod, been using it for over 2 years. Just the thing for us Ozi Zenners.
A few weeks ago Austrlia POst put there rates up but my Aust Post mod doesn't seen to be picking up the new rates.
I have tested it with a 1200g parcel from 4563 to 4563
Aust Post site quotes $9.90 3kg satchel or $11.30 express 3kg satchel
My store says $9.60 3kg satchel and $10.90 express satchel
I have set handling fees to 0 and no tax selected. My default measurments are 10,10,10
any ideas?
Thanks
Re: ozpost shipping module
Are you using AustPost module or the new ozpost module?

The AustPost module has been obsoleted. Please upgrade to the new 'ozpost' module.

ps. If for some reason you have edited the AustPost files in the /admin/ directory you will NOT need to replace them when installing the updated mod as these haven't been changed.
Re: ozpost shipping module
Hi Rod,
Well Ive only just got around to installing the ozpost mod. All Seems ok so far. So I havent got around to looking at the converting to .gif files as I suggested I would (back in April!).
If I ever do get to it, I will share them, but given that all images need to be changed (or none), that will take a while.
Do you have copies of the images before they were compressed (saved as .jpg) ?
Which file has the .jpg reference for the dynamically generated filenames?
Re: ozpost shipping module
Hi Rod,
Thank you so much for your ozpost shipping module. It has nearly resolved every shipping-related issue. But I still have a problem with letter postage calculation. I found that the cost for international letter is all the same regardless of the destination country. However, the postage to New Zealand and other Asia Pacific countries is different and lower than that to the rest of the world. For instance, postage for letter (100g) to NZ is only $2.90 but not $4.2. So, is there any way to fix this?
Also, I see some Estimated Delivery Time values shown by ozpost module are a little different from those stated on auspost.com.au. I hope to change some of them within my module. Could you show me the method?
Thank you very much for your time and patience!!
Cheers,
Brian

Curious.
While the original 'AustPost' module was a bit slack in this regard in that it didn't take all letter sizes into all zones into account, the ozpost module was greatly improved so that it does (or should) give correct results in all cases.
I don't understand how either version would or could give the same cost for ALL destinations.

It shouldn't be broken. If you give me your store URL I'll take a look and see if I can figure out what is going on for you.

This also shouldn't be possible, the ozpost module gets the estimated delivery times from autpost.com.au

It isn't possible to (easily) change the estimated delivery days for specific methods, but you can make a global change by setting the 'postage delay' to the number of days you wish to adjust them by. It will accept both positive and negative numbers.
To make an adjustment for specific shipping methods (eg, letters only) you'll need to edit the ozpost.php file itself. It shouldn't be hard to figure out what you need to do, just identify the section of the code that you wish to modify and add another +-digit to the existing code where the postage delay variable is being used.

Re: ozpost shipping module
Hi Rod,
Thanks so much for your quick reply. From your mention of "ozpost module", I suddenly realised what I installed is "Austpost Improved" instead of "ozpost"! I'm really really sorry for being silly and having confused you with all the problems arising from that old version.
Now I have installed ozpost and tried nearly all the possible groups of weights and sizes of items to different countries around the world, and happily it all worked perfectly!! And the only little tiny thing I may ever want to modify would be how to disclose the information of dimensions and boxes that was not hidden in "Austpost" on the shipping cost estimator page. If this cannot be changed, that's all right, I'm still totally satisfied with this module.
Thank you very much indeed for your help and contribution! :)
Cheers,
Brian

This is a bug that still needs to be fixed. Alas, I probably won't have a chance to get back to it until the end of the school term. So many things to do, so little time to do it.
Cheers

Hi Brian.. although done for a different reason, the following link:
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpo...0&postcount=10
contains a zip file with a replacement ozpost.php file that should take care of this for you.
Cheers
