Re: Admin Profiles for zen 1.3.6 crashed all the cart
hi
i tried to install admin profil for 1.3.6 on zen 1.3.6.
furtunately i did it firstly on my pc/localhost, and the results after copying and installin the patch, was that no more the administrator home page of admin area could be opened.
i got this message above the page in the green zone:
1146 Table 'zen136.zen136admin_menu_headers' doesn't exist
in:
[select id from zen136admin_menu_headers where header = 'Configuration']
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
can somebody tell me, where may I did a mistake, as I know the provider of this version probabely checked it already on zen1.3.6?!!!! I hope:blink:
Re: Admin Profiles Support Thread
I have just installed the current version of Admin Profiles on ZCv1.3.6.
It works, but now I have two listings for Tracking and Tracking Config on the tools menu. Any idea what I did wrong and how to get rid of one of them?
Re: Admin Profiles Support Thread
I just upgraded to 1.3.6 from 1.3.5 and this mod disappeared. I tried reinstalling the newest version, but it isn't doing anything. I have all my admins, but I guess they have access to the entire backend because there is no option to edit their permissions. Help?!?!?

This issue was discussed earlier in this thread or possibly in the User Tracking thread.
The "Configuration" menu is the correct menu where 'User Tracking Config' should show up, and 'User Tracking' should indeed show under the "Tools" menu.
In a nutshell, the User Tracking installation utilizes a special method to install it's own menus which has a side effect of generating the second 'User Tracking Config' menu to display when Admin Profiles is installed. DrByte provided a limited workaround that allowed me to remove the "User Tracking Config" item from the "Tools" menu but there were some other issues associated with the workaround. I found some side affect issues when installing the workaround so I decided to just live with it. See the thread for the full sccop.

I've been away too long. I now see a fix was supplied by Kuroi in the August Admin Profles v1.04 release. In the Admin Profiles 1.06 distribution look for the folder: "extras - user tracking". And the v.1.06 readme shows this:
Quote:
Version 1.0.4
-------------
A minor update to address compatibility issues with the User Tracking mod. For the User Tracking mod, use the specialized _dhtml file in the "extras - user tracking" folder of this ZIP, and run the enclosed .SQL via your preferred method.

In Tools > Admin Settings, do you not see a small orange P icon on the the line for each admin entry? The icon is the "edit permissions" button.

Re: Admin Profiles Support Thread
No, Woody, I don't. It's gone! I had them, I know what I'm looking for, they were working fine until I upgraded the cart. A file must have been overwritten, but the thing is, I even tried uploading all the files again (from the latest version) and it didn't help. They're all gone. I even added a new one to see if it put that option on a new one and it didn't :( .
Re: Admin Profiles Support Thread
"use the two files in the extras for 1.3.6 folder in the release package to replace their equivalent files in the 1.3.6 release package"
Re: Admin Profiles Support Thread
Boy, do I feel like an idiot! I'm not sure how I missed that, but I sure did...thanks!
Re: Admin Profiles Support Thread
Hi,
I am running Zen Cart 1.3.0.1 with Database Patch Level: 1.3.0.1.
I have tried to install Admin Profiles Version: 1.0.4.
It all seems to work nicely except this one error when trying to access the Admin Settings, this is what I get:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ',' or ';' in /home/sites/lightingstudio.co.uk/public_html/onlineshop/admin/admin.php on line 218
Any ideas please?
Many thanks
Claire
