Email subject not being received
I'm using Zen cart 1.5.5 and Westminster New template v1.3
My contact page has a required Subject line but the emails I receive display the default "Website Inquiry from My Site" Subject.
How do I get it to display the customer entered Subject?
Re: Email subject not being received
Never mind. I'm stupid! fixed it.

I upgraded my template from westminster new v1.3 to 155_westminster_new. It was a template problem.
Re: Email subject not being received
Thanks for the info. I'm running a plain 1.5.5f with no mods. Maybe I'll check into this in BASIC CONFIGURATION forum section.
Problem with installation -
As an FYI. I started to install this template (ZC version 1.56c clean install ) and as soon as I switched templates in the admin file I got an error message and couldn't get back. I reinstalled Westminster, file by file to see where the issue was. The file that was causing the problem is in admin/includes/autoloaders/config.westminster.new.php. I removed that file and it seems to be working (so far). It looks ok on the computer but I haven't checked other devices. I just wanted to let you know that file was an issue for me. Is it absolutely essential? Any reason why it was an issue?
Thanks
Carol

The installation instructions have changed. You need to see the readme.html file:
1. Upload the files
2. log into your admin (or click on the home button if you are already logged in)
3. install the flexible footer menu (tools--install flexible footer menu)
4. select the template
5. reset the sideboxes
Thanks,
Anne

:D Changing the installation directions, adding in a step, really isn't fair. I'm taking a look to see how I can combine the excellent Flexible Footer Multilingual so that there will not be the extra step. I don't want to take it out of the template package, but it is making confusion it seems...
Thanks,
Anne

I did read the file and followed the instructions. I'll try installing again

I reinstalled the package again following the directions. When I clicked on the "change template" I got this error "WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page ..."
When I delete the file admin/includes/autoloaders/config_westminster_new.php - the site works. When I put back the file, error message again. I can't do some of the configurations I want to do if I don't have that file. I will probably have to spend time working around it which I don't look forward to doing. Any thoughts? I remember when I was setting up your responsive-sheffield there was something about not using one of the jscript files and to use the one from the default template. I had to chuck the responsive- sheffield because it wouldn't work with PHP 7.
Here is the contents of the error log -

We are experiencing the exact same issue too. Hoping to read a solution here soon.
Our site already had the Flexible Footer installed (so we didn't have to reinstall it). But when we go to Layout Controller to reset the sideboxes, we get the "WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again" message. Our log file shows the exact same entry as yours with the 'layout_box_status_mobile' error.
Re: Problem with installation -
FYI - Just playing around with things, I ended up commenting out the lines in the "westminster_new/2_0.php" file which were giving the duplicate entry errors.
Once I did that, it solved those errors (but now I'm dealing with other ones, like "Failed to open FILENAME_META_TAGS.php in the westminster_new/english.php on line 650".
Looks like I will need to do some more customization and Frankensteining some files to make it work.
** EDIT **
Looks like I had to add the following entry into the includes/filenames.php:
define('FILENAME_META_TAGS', 'meta_tags');

Same issue here also - over 3 weeks after you reported it !

Thank you all for the reports and testing. I am hoping to have some time to work on this soon...
Thanks,

Haven't figured this out yet but am working on it :)

Re: Problem with installation -
I just installed a vanilla 1.5.6c, then installed the Flexible Footer Multilingual plugin, then installed the template package. I did not get the error with the layout boxes controller.
Maybe you are doing a fresh install instead of the upgrade if you already have the template installed?
Thanks,
Anne

I have a question for template version 1.4. I installed it on zen cart 1.5.5f. I noticed that, after I turned off "Carousel Featured Products", the featured products displayed on the homepage has placement issue. If I set to display four items per row, some rows show four items correctly, but some rows only show just one item. It may locate on the very left position. Some may locate in the middle.
By my test, setting to display either 3 per row or 6 per row has no issue. But setting to display either 4 or 5 per row will have this issue.
I switched back to the default template and this issue is gone.
Any tips? I really want to display four items per row....

I would recommend installing the latest version of the template package. Follow the upgrade instructions in the readme

Hi Anne - in my case I did a fresh install and as was the situation of a couple of others in previous posts I too also had Flexible Footer previously installed (using it with the included responsive template in 1.5.6b) and I have the issue of the layout boxes controller error - so just wondering if there could be a conflict with the already configured and data attributed / page populated FFM versus a virgin non configured fresh install when loading the fresh install of the template (I hope that makes sense).
If you were to repeat the trial you recently did but this time have the FFM already installed, configured and pages attributed/populated so that it was a functioning plugin ... then do a fresh install of Westminster New and see if you can replicate the problem that a few of us are having?
I, like many others who have used / are using your templates on previous versions, am biting at the bit to get this template working on 1.5.6
I am sure you will find the answer soon :) ...
cheers,
Mike

So maybe the difference is that you have the flexible footer menu installed and not the flexible footer multilingual plugin?
Thanks,
Anne

Sorry - lazy terminology on my part - it is the latest version Flexible Footer Menu Multilingual plugin v1.5
