Hi Rod,
Thanks heaps!! Now the dimensions for each parcel is clearly shown to all whenever shipping estimator is used. Thank you so much again for your kind dedication :-D
Cheers,
Brian

Howdy RodG,
For those that may be interested:
Within the attached .ZIP are the ozpost_icons in GIF format, and the ozpost.php file with the reference changed from jpg to gif.
Most of these gif files are less than 300bytes, a bit over 1/10 the size of the original jpg icons. Ive made the text color on most of them black, instead of your original colors as I reckon they stand out a bit better.
The 'shipping method' page might be a bit faster with the gif's.
Cheers
I don't suppose you'd like to remodify ozpost.php using this version:
http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showpo...0&postcount=10
and re-upload it would you? (has a couple of bugixes)
Cheers
Rod
Done,
The updated ozpost.php is in the ZIP file and removed the first version
Hi there,
Is Australia Post Server down again? I'm using Ozpost Module. The page goes blank when clicking "check out". Also, nothing appears or returns on postage estimator page.
The DEBUG report says:
HP Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Exception' with message 'String could not be parsed as XML' in .../public_html/includes/modules/shipping/ozpost.php:351
Stack trace:
#0 .../public_html/includes/modules/shipping/ozpost.php(351): SimpleXMLElement->__construct('')
#1 .../public_html/includes/classes/shipping.php(129): ozpost->quote('')
#2 .../public_html/includes/modules/pages/checkout_shipping/header_php.php(170): shipping->quote()
#3 .../public_html/index.php(36): require('...')
#4 {main}
thrown in .../public_html/includes/modules/shipping/ozpost.php on line 351
Does anyone know what is really going on? Will the problem be fixed itself? Or is there anything I can do now?
Many thanks,
Brian
Its also down for me, but I've been playing with the website ( not active yet).
That said, the last time I saw this error , i spent a day re-installing just to discover it was the vcsweb server that was at fault.
BTW
Is there a way we can re-direct to a default page if there is no response from the ozpost module. This would at least alert the customers to re-try again, or we could just add in some default postal charges
Oh and I forgot to mention -
from admin, there is NO image from http://vcsweb.com/images/vcsweb_logo_zencart_mod.gif and if you try logging into http://vcsweb.com/ you eventually time out
(although not sure what the response should be from trying http://vcsweb.com/ from a web page)
Down for me toooooo Dang.. people trying to checkout too
Sadly, yes. the servers have been down for 9hours now (our worst outage ever)
Theory dictates that when the server is down the module *should* be supplying the predefined 'flat rate' fee. I've no explanation as to why it isn't behaving as it should this time around.
Alas, there is nothing any of us can do other than wait until our hosting company rectifies the problem.
We've sent them emails, we've left messages for them on their "support" page, and we've even phoned them (they said they'd phone us back). This was 6 hours ago. Still not a word from them.
I guess the fact that it is now 2am Sunday morning where the servers are located isn't really helping matters either.
At the moment we don't even know for sure *why* the servers are down. I *think* it is due to a disconnection as a result of our Free DNS server being abused by spammers, but we've had no prior warning of any impending disconnection, and with no response from the ISP this is more speculation than anything else.
There was a time when I very pleased with this hosting company (ServerPronto, for anyone that is interested). It wasn't unusual for us to have constant uptimes of well over 300 days at a time, and timely responses to any issues we had (we've been with them for almost 6 years now) , but over the last 8 months they have turned to sh*t. Reboots and connectivity problems appear to be monthly occurrences.
Methinks it is about time we started looking for a more reliable host :(
9 hours downtime with no response is totally unacceptable in my opinion. Pity though, because their pricing is exceptionally good value.
Cheers
Rod
Thinking,
What if ozpost mod' was to store postage costs for selected methods in a temporary file. If the server is down, the "last known" values could be used instead? Ratter than the Flat rate.
