See this is where I am totally lost, what you and I suggested effectively does that.
Oh well, good luck with them, I think you'll need it

Oops sorry, I missed the "sidebox" part :)
If the sidebox only shows those 20 categories by default, and you have to click something every time you want to see the rest, that could get tiresome for someone interested in the others. I think the more useful to the users (maybe not what the client thinks he wants) would be a customer setting for full or abbreviated sidebox, persistent until they change the setting.
Yeah... I've tried explaining that to him that it would be very annoying and would probably impact his sales to have some of his categories hidden from customers... but not getting through to him.
He keeps referring to mobi-pocket.com.. they have an all categories link that does the EZ-Page concept.
Any pointers on how to achieve that concept?
You could simply turn off the left and right columns and use ... seems an arse about way of doing things though just for one request.....
Wait..... mobipocket.com you mean, not mobi-pocket.com LOL
gjh42's category dressing could probably do that... over to you Glenn
As with all things coding related, it is a question of "your" time and the "client's" money.
What is being proposed could be done but would take a fair amount of Javascript coding. If you tell them it would cost xxx hundred dollars to do, would they still be interested? Asking those kind of question is when I usually find out how serious the Client is about having something done.
