Hi,
I put all the download files in the download directory and deleted all the forlders.
Now the download button do not show up in the checkout.
Also missing in the cutomer's account, so my customers can not download the files previously purchashed.
I put out the Maintanence page for now and I will switch back to normal mode, if you think that would help. Please let me know.
Please help me figure out what happened with the "Download" buttons?
My next question is connected to this problem, but may be more suitable for another forum.
Should I upgrade now, or I better wait for the 1.4.0 release and upgrade to that?
I was thinking to upgrade the whole program to 1.3.2, (currently I have 1.3.0) but I am afraid I will mess up what I have even more.
I installed the cart through Cpanel (1.2.6), only needed to put the admin login and password. I also upgraded to the current version through cpanel.
The new version of cpanel do not support ZenCart, so I am on my own.
I spent more than a year to learn ZenCart and the features are perfect for my business. (Embroidery Design Downloads)
I did not change any original files that was not necessary. I made all the changes with the override system.
Please help me find the problem with the Download buttons and help me decide which version to update ZenCart.
Thank you,
Doing the upgrade is important ...
Fixing the downloads can be done ...
Look in the database at the products_attributes_download table ... you should only see the filename not a directory/filename
Look in the orders_products_download table ... again, you should only see the filename and not a directory/filename
If you see both, then these need to be cleaned up ...
It is easy for you to say look in the database.
I never looked, so I don't know how to.
I downloaded a backup of the ZenCart database from my website and opened it with Excel.
It looks like a script rather than a database.
Would you tell me where can I find information how to look in the database.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Hi again,
I checked the database files with phpMyadmin.
The "product_attributes_download" filenames are OK. (Without the folder name)
In the "orders_product_download" table some of the file names have the folder front of it. Would you tell me how I can change that.
I find how to edit the names.
I will see if this brings back the "Download" buttons.
Dear Ajeh,
The "Download" buttons are back again.
Thank you for the guidance.
I learned a lot about my website and ZenCart.
I hope to see the updates for the download file structure.
Once I update to the new version (1.4.0) I probable will need a new payment module for ECI paymant gateway for credit cards payments. I have this on my other websites that I also want to convert to ZenCart.
Thanks again,
Thanks for the update and glad you got your downloads working happily again ...
Hi, I've sucessfully completed the downloadable section, its working fine except a strange error while opening the file "WINZip, Cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive. If you downloaded this file, try downloading the file again." despite of file size is same and accorate.
I am using Zen-cart Ver 1.27 under Windows 2K IIS 5.

You either have bad files uploaded that you are downloading ... or you have incomplete downloads occuring ...
Do you receive the downloads by the correct name?
Are they the correct size?
Is this a unix or windows server?
How large are the downloads?
Do the filenames for the downloads contain spaces, special characters or extra periods beyond the filename.ext
Are the all loaded to /download directory?
Is pub set to 777
If unix is Redirect turned ON
If windows is Redirect turned OFF
Do small downloads of less than 100k work?
Do you see the green dot next to the filename on the Attributes Controller?
