Do most people re-create buttons in their own colors?
For example, changing the Search button to purple. Given that it is a .gif, I'm guessing re-create is the answer. But is there an easy way to do that?
Is it as simple as using Paint (or something), add text and save as the same size as the button before?

I haven't done any but the last developer must have done some. Any recommendations on which files I should revert to the original zen cart files to fix the issue?
I would recommend contacting the developer to see what has been edited. If you don't have any custom programming done, I would recommend starting from a fresh install and importing your database.Quote:

You might also try posting your problem to one of the other zen cart forums/threads where more people will see it and may be able to offer you help. I know that it is frowned upon to double post, but I think that it would be o.k., in this instance since I can not figure this out for you and it is not a template specific problem.
I figured it out on my own. The setting in Define Page Status in Admin for Define Main Page Status needs to be set to 1 It was set to 3 which shut off all display on the page. Thank you for all of your help.

How do I make a division in the Categories box for differrent kinds of items? Or make a second box? Right now it's all watches, but I'd also like to have something for "Other Items." Again, either a second box or a division of space after the watches with a header/title in the same font and color as Watches, Information, etc.
Just like with the watches, the new categories of items should automatically be placed there when I create them in Catalog-Products-Create.

This is not a template specific question so I would recommend asking this one on another forum. If it were me, I would use the default zen cart functionality. I would return the "watches" header to "categories" and then create categories and sub categories within the categories box. There are a few modules that will allow you to always show the sub categories in the category box. You can do a search on the forum for the threads relating to them.Quote:

Since then I came across your awsome all business template. Actually, my nephew who does design work for our business sites pointed it out, he really likes it.
More and more nice zen cart templates are coming out and I've tested a few recently. I think your all business is finally "my" look:

Not yet using the slider, as I have to determine what to put on it, so static pic for now. I figure I can even use your slider pics by slapping my products here and there.
Now, I am one who STRONGLY advises against trying to modify a nice template too much...or even at all; pretty much try to use it out-of-the-box. I've seen too many templates over time "modified" by newbies into real road-kill. And that includes me and others in our company. The site no longer looks like the nice template that first caught the eye.
Anyway, IF I were to modify, it might be taking the text color up a shade or two; while the light grey on my monitor looks nice and fits the look, it might be hard to read. Is it hard to read? Do you have a color code or two you might recommend to test?
Also not sure about my current logo, but that's another issue.

You can definitely use the images that I have included in the slider. All is released under the GPL and I started from public domain images. The image showing currently on your home page is not one of my images though so be sure to check the copyright situation before using it. Just be sure that when you edit the define_main_page.php through the zen cart admin that you have the "plain text" selected in the text editor drop down menu :smile:
If you want a darker grey I would recommend #444444. #181818 is a bit darker still.

If I increase the #mainWrapper to 1300px I acheive more of what I want. I would need to adjust the padding on the currency, languages, shopping cart, etc which I believe I can do. However I can't figure out now how to center the sliding images or add padding to the left category box. Could you please assist?
Also instead of the blue hover over the categories (in the left sidebox) is there a way to create a bold black line around each item?

I am sorry but I can not give you support for any third party modules. I suspect a conflict somewhere in the javascript. I would recommend contacting the authors of the jzoon and/or easy slider javascript for assistance.Quote:

The easy slider styles are in the stylesheet.css starting at /*bof easy slider*/
You probably want .sideBoxContent for the padding, but it is hard for me to tell unless you be more specific about where you want the padding, etc.

This is not a good idea. For customers with smaller monitors/lower resolutions it will create a scroll bar on the bottom for the site. If you want the navMainWrapper to use 100% of the page width without creating a scroll bar, you should move it outside of the fixed width div and then make the width 100% for the navMainWrapper. Hi. I'm using Zen cart v1.3.9h and the All Business template. It's a great template and I must say thank you for it.
Background: I'm trying to have one listing for a shirt with multiple sizes instead of a listing for each size of the same shirt (ie 1 instead of 3).
I'm having problems with attributes displaying for products. If I load the page in Firefox it comes up ok, but it doesn't appear at all in IE7. If I switch it back to classic then it appears in IE7. How can I get it to appear?

I'm using the latest version. I've deleted the file you stated, but the size attributes still doesn't appear but it is appearing in Firefox.
In firefox it appears between the "add to cart" button and the "write a review" button. But doesn't in IE7.

I managed to fix it by adjusting the ie7 style sheet at:

The style sheet was placing the attributes in the wrong area.

You can turn on the right hand column in the admin--configuration--layout settings. Then you will need to copy the styles in the includes/templates/all_business/css/stylesheet.css from the left hand column to the corresponding selectors for the right hand column.Quote:

O.k., I created a new stylesheet that includes all of the styles needed for the left and right hand column (a three column layout instead of the 2 column that comes with the template package).
If you have made any changes to the stylesheet, be sure to use a program like winmerge to integrate your changes into the new stylesheet.

Since the template is a fixed width you would have to adjust the width of the home page slider in the stylesheet if you want the right hand column to line up properly--I would change the width to around 500px. Also, you should make sure that none of your slider images are wider than 500px.Quote:

This can not be done in the stylesheet. You would need to alter the actual code of the site (the div structure). The files you would need to alter are probably the includes/templates/all_business/common/tpl_header.php and includes/templates/all_business/common/ tpl_main_page.php. Short of me actually going in and editing the files and then posting them, the best I can do is describe what you need to do :smile: If you want the navMainWrapper to have a width that extends from one edge of the screen to the other, you either have to move that div outisde of the one containing it (mainWrapper) or you can put the width 100% on the containing div and restructure the inner divs.Quote:

I made sure it was on plain text and then all I got was code showing on the index page. I then went in and changed the names back to your origional images "slide1" ect. but still the code shows up.

Hi - I am still having problems with the slider. I have upgraded to 1.3.9h and have started applying security patches.
I decided to re-install the template via ftp but when I try it says "file transfer skipped". I thought maybe I needed to change the permissions on my configure files and did but it still skips uploading those files. Any ideas?

Yes the files are already there. Is that why it says skipped? I have never noticed that before.
I did notice in my Zen cart Admin that it has the template listed twice.
I also don't have the option in "Configurations" the "Layout Settings" of "Product Listing - Columns Per Row" that you show in your example page at http://www.picaflor-azul.com/free-de...t_settings.png
That's why I thought I would just go ahead and reupload the template because I thought maybe I had missed something that had been upgraded.

As far as I know I haven't changed or installed anything that could cause it. My website seems to work with any other template. There was one post somewhere with exactly the same problem, but I don't know if he was able to find the solution....

Besides path names and styles, all the functionality of Aberdeen Neutral, Andover Modern, and All Business templates are the same. None of the templates effect the functionality of the reveiws. If it were a problem with the template files then the demo would not work.
I will swap that template back to original...
Another few questions
- how could I remove message "javascript:window.close()" when I hover over enlarged product image.
- how to change "date" from: month/day/year to day/month/year?

I am sorry but for the first one I have no idea and for the second, I am not sure where you want to change this. I would recommend posting to a more general forum for help with these. Have you tried using the developers toolkit?
SO STOKED!!!! The slider is working for me now. I had put the images in the zen_cart admin images file instead of the All Business template images file. Just thought I'd mention it just in case anyone else makes the same mistake.

I doubt that adding 3 lines to the css file would break the attributes. What happens if you switch to the classic template?Quote:

Where would I find the file to modify the characters showing up before the subcategory?
Have a look if you want at www.bagabow.com. If you click on the Tote Bags Category, 2 sub categories appear with the |_ symbols. I would love to delete those to keep the sub category look a bit cleaner.

Hey there, I made my logo a bit larger. While I like the size, I noticed that if I log into my buyer's account, the NavMain ul links (Home, Log Out, My Account, Shopping Cart, Checkout) extend to the left into my logo. On the stylesheet, line 60, I played around with the position attribute (set to Relative) in firebug and deleted it. The result was that the links moved up a line into the NavMainWrapper area. I actually like that look.
Do you think there is any negative ramifications to deleting 'position'? I temprarily changed it in the website if you want to look.
