Has anyone figured out how to fix the problem with the wholesale prices rounding down??? for example if you put in $4.50 it will put it in at $4.00
I have seen some post where you have to check your currency decimal place, but i have the correct settings.
Has anyone else found out how to correct this problem???
My wholesale prices do not exhibit this behavior, nor do I recall seeing anyone else with this problem. If I put in 1.475 it comes out as 1.475. It's obviously not a problem with the mod itself.Quote:

Well, I didn't mod the mod. So it really does work as offered, if installed as directed. (I'm using 1.3.7 too.) In other words, it's not fair to just slap a blanket "it doesn't work" label on the entire mod.
If your install was done correctly and it still doesn't work for you, then I guess there must be a conflict with something else in your Zen set up. So...
You'll need to give us more info about your set up, mods installed in particular, and a link to your site so we can have a look. Without that we're just guessing.

I am not sure if I am missing something or if this is not possible. Alot of my items are priced by attribute. Yet in the attribute controller I cannot seem to figure out how to set wholesale pricing for these items. Can you dual price on a attribute level?

I'm working in 1.3.7, and installed dual pricing, without any problem that I can tell. I did get a few errors in function_prices.php that I had to comment out (it was already doing things like getting prices, etc in another file).
I can assign wholesale bands to customers, and I've assigned wholesale pricing to the products, however the customers aren't seeing the wholesale pricing, even though they are assigned the correct band (1) and are approved.
it does say next to my categories (I SHOULD use zen_get_discount_calc).
any ideas? making me nutty.
in attempt to fix problem, I went ahead and reinstalled dual pricing. same thing happens.
i get:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare zen_update_products_price_sorter() (previously declared in zencart/admin/includes/functions/general.php:2512) in zencart/admin/includes/functions/functions_prices.php on line 1448
and after I go ahead and comment it out in either functions_price or general, I get the same fatal error on zen_parse_salemaker_categories and zen_update_salemaker_product_prices
if I comment out all three on either file, i'll be able to log back in, but i STILL have the 'wholesale prices not showing for wholesale customers" thing happening.
I had the same problem in functions_prices and used winmerge to merge the files together instead of overwriting the entire file. I seem to recall that there is a /* in one file that wasn't in the other and when I addes that /* it made the difference. I don't think you can comment out all 3 or it won't work, perhaps that's why you can't see it on the customer side. Also, when you add the wholesale price in the catalog product listing make sure you can see it in the catagories/products page after updating. I was having a problem with the wholesale prices not sticking after updating and found that there was one line of code that hadn't been added in collect_info.Quote:

You use the discount pricing groups to assign customers to the wholesale pricing. So you will need to create a discount pricing group. This will group 1. When you assign customers to this group, they will be able to see the wholesale prices. All other customers will see the regular prices. You can create additional discount pricing groups, for which you will need to create additional wholesale pricing for. You would do this by adding another price in the wholesale price field when adding/editing a product.
Someone will correct me if I am worng, but you can add multiple wholesale prices by seperating them with a comma.
Let's say you have the following discount pricing groups...
wholesale, club members, friends
In the wholesale field when adding a product you would put...
5.00,4.00,3.00
$5 would be for wholesale
$4 would be for club members
$3 would be for friends
Then you assign the customer to the appropriate discount group, which must be done manually. When each customer logs in, they see the discount price for the group they were assigned.
I will double check the information I have to make sure this is how it is to be set up, but if I am worng, somebody please correct me ;)
Edit: I did double check my notes and this is how it says to add multiple discount groups. I will play around with it in my own shop and let you know how it turns out. I have been wanting to add a wholesale group anyway (I currently only offer discounts for club members).
Ok - I'm retarded (lol). To set multiple discount prices, enter them like so...
5.00-4.00-3.00
To assign a wholesale price group to a customer, edit their information. There is a box there where you can enter a number for which wholesale price group they belong to.
1 = the first price group ($5 in example above)
2 = secong price group ($4 in example above)
etc.
I am using the discount pricing as a guide to remind me which group is which. So I went into discount pricing and set up group one as Club Members. I entered the discount at 1% just to remind me that if I put a 1 in the wholesale discount group box for the customer, I am putting that person in the club discount group.
I installed the module, everything is in the right place, installed the SQL patches,
but i don't see the following (mentioned in the Read Me file):
Pick a customer and edit them.You will see a new text box under the email address box.
I don't have this (a box under the email address.)
Any ideas what I've done wrong?
Was I supposed to install the earlier versions first and then add V.2?

Ok, i figured out what I had done wrong. Now i do see that box and it works fine!
Question:
1. How do I set separate quantity & order "minimums" for wholesale & retail?
For instance, wholesale buyers would have to buy 3/ea. of a certain product, whereas retail customers can just order 1.
2. Also, i need to set the order minimums as well (ie: $150 for wholesale, $25 for retail.)
Is there a way to do these 2 things...??

hey not sure if this is a repost but I just had an issue w/ a site that had the dual pricing added after the site had been running for a while, and not all the products had been given whole sale pricong and there for had a database value of '' (not null but just empty.) this Meant that all those itmes came up as $0 for people w/ whole sale access. To correct this I simply ran the below SQL in the zen cart sql paches program.

I have a customer who wants to be able to put his wholesale pricing on sale/discounted etc.
I've already gotten the admin and db ready with salemaker but need to put the correct coding into the functions_pricing.php and though I've found the correct section, I need a bit of help. Would you be able to help out with this?
If I understand correctly how this Mod works, once installed and on the Edit/New Product page, I should see an input box for Wholesale pricing.

Not using EasyPopulate, I have tried both versions of this Mod; 1.3 for without EP and 1_3-beta3 for with EP but none seem to work.

Yep, Wholesale Price (Net) should be right under those three.
Have you made any other mods which affect that page in admin? I suspect that's where the problem lies.

That's the confusing part. The only Mod installed on this site is the Magic SEO URL for Zen Cart and the customized Minimum Order solution.
Can you specify what Dual Price file I could look at to determine / solve the problem?
Also, if it makes any difference, no Products are priced by attributes and no Products are linked. Not using Group Pricing either although, previous posts in this thread almost makes it sound like one should. :blink:
In my install of DP (I'm using 1.3 beta 3 in Zen 1.3.7) the file which gathers up the info and displays it is ...
admin/includes/modules/product/collect_info.php
...around line 337.
I've never used Group Pricing, nor am I using either of the other mods you've installed. I have several other mods installed but still DP works fine for me.

Rob, appreciate the feedback and need to ask;
Are you using Easy Populate and, if yes, did you use EP to include Wholesale prices (downloading / uploading a spreedsheet) or do you see an entry for Wholesale pricing on the Edit/Add Product page and used that?
I must be getting old -- I actually can't remember how I updated all the products to have the dual priciing. I certainly didn't do it one by one in admin ( :wacko: ) though I do have the field available to do it if I had to.
Yes I do have EP installed, and I guess that's what I used, but put me on a rack and I couldn't swear to it.

The situation seems to be getting weirder by the moment. :shocking:
I have confirmed the "admin/includes/modules/product/collect_info.php" file and path are correct, file is there with required Wholesale information. I even went so far as to delete the "collect_info.php" file and the Edit/Add Product page still worked and no errors anywhere. Most odd!
Looks like I'll have to follow the logic path from the start, to find where & what file is not doing what it is supposed to for this Mod.
Did you rename the admin folder to a different name as suggested for improved security?
I did and after that tried to install the DPmod and it took me 3 day to find out that I was editing the correct file but in the wrong folder.
Did anybody got this module working with the Canadapost module together? Even if I try to use winmerge to merge these to work together, I still have problems. One is overwriting the changes the other makes - so it is really hard to implement these two together.
If anybody has any suggestions please let me know.

This was only the second time that i uploaded a contibution... thanks to point out that i left the cowoa in there. but it should be fairly easy to delete the cowoa part since - if i remember right - the are all pretty obious marked...

in the version I uploaded I simply compared the files and added the code for 1.3.8 - I don't know what Steve is talking about. I used that version to update a 1.3.8 cart - no problems and there's nothing extra in there. If there are extra files in my version and I don't believe there are, the cart still works. So if you have a problem with his version - use mine!

I have seen others have had this problem but I can't seem to find a solution. The mod seems to be working fine. When logged in as a wholesale account the prices are changed. The problem is that when I continue to the shopping cart the price reverts back to the Retail Price. HELP!!!!

I would like to let anyone who is having this problem it only happened on my testing server. I decided since it wasn't detrimental to the site to try this live before trying more trouble shooting, I uploaded to my live store and sure enough it's working with no problems.
Having fixed the error Attribute error 1136 I am also getting the retail price being displayed in the cart rather than the w/s price. I have been through the thread and although some peeps have had a similar problem no "fixes" have been posted. Does anyone know whether it has been fixed? and if so what was it?Quote:

did you process your sql patch from the dual pricing folder?
Someone who updated this mod also uses the Checkout Without Account (COWOA) mod and left the code in there, probably thinking it wouldn't hurt the functionality of the Dual Pricing mod (???). I probably would've left it in there too. I went through the customers.php file and hopefully removed all of the cowoa code. You can download that version of the file here:Quote:

Sorry about that. I couldn't test it properly at the time because my test site was 1.3.7. I just upgraded it and tested the file and of course, I made a mistake. I don't have any specific solution to the problems people are having but I had many of them too when I downloaded the module and copy and pasted the files into my cart (using the newest version of the module and 1.3.8) Next I tried a different rout and used WinMerge instead. And compared files and made sure things were right. If anybody is partial to this I could upload my files and have people try those instead as they contain the Cowoa (sorry this is from memory can't remember if that's actually the name) fix and a fix for displaying "whole sale price" when the customer is actually seeing retail price.
For a clean installing dual pricing, use the one by Delia. It does not give errors on a fresh, no module installation.
In my opinion, this is how a module should be.
I think the one by Steve should be removed or have a note by it. It has extra code from the checkout without account. If you are not running this module, you will crash your customers table.
REMEMBER, always do a backup before installing any module. In this case, my backup saved me a lot of time!

All you guys that have downloaded my mod seem to have had issues with the Cowoa-mod pieces in there. please accept my appology. it was the first mod-update i puit back to the download section. I do have Cowoa installed on my side so i didn't got any error and didn't think of taking it out when i updated it... :frusty:
But, the good news... Cowoa is a pretty good and ovious mod and pretty easy to spot.

I hope this question hasn't been asked to death - but I can't find it if it has.
I've installed this mod and it works fine. However, when we put something on sale through SaleMaker or Specials, we don't want it to apply the discount to wholesale customers.
I thought I had this solved in that I created a Discount Group called "Wholesale" with a 0% discount but it isn't working. I also used this method to exclude wholesale customers from getting charged sales tax, but again, this isn't working.
It it my install (I didn't do it - it came with the site)? Is there some other way to exclude wholesale customers from getting sale prices?

I have a problem were products with attributes are going into the shopping cart with the base price not attached. I have set my attributes to add to the base price. This is happening to both resale and wholesale pricing.
Any ideas on why this maybe happening. I need to get this resolved fairly quickly.

I should also note that the sub-total price shows up correctly, but not per-item totals. When continuing through the check out process the per-item price (which is wrong) is being calculated for the total to be billed.

Great contribution, working nicely on 1.3.5! Spent the day playing around with it. I recommend the combined use of the contribution : quick_updates_2.04
So you can quickly add all of your wholesale prices. The Quick Updates mod has a feature that works with DP built into it (has to be activated manualy in the following file :
admin/includes/extra_configures/quick_updates.php

Quick question, is there a way I can define products that can only be seen by wholesalers (by ticking a nice little box maybe in product edit page!) ?

Was hoping someone could help me. I would like to "unpatch" my database or undo the changes from this mod. I was unable to really make it work do to sdales being taken off pricing. From a little reading I found that this is likely caused by his mod or the remanents of it so to speak. I tried editing the general.php adding the -

dual pricing mod works for me. i've edited customer set to level 2 and added 2 levels for wholesale pricing by attributes: 30,25
the prices is correctly displayed in product info: 25 but it displays 30 in shopping cart. my /includes/classes/shopping_cart.php was already modified before dual pricing was installed.
anyone can help me what are the specific files and/or lines edited just like how COWOA being installed. thankz a lot!

I just installed this mod today (love it, thank you!) but I have run accross something. I have the Rewards Points Module installed as well (found here: http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=911) and it seems that a customer who is logged in as a wholesale customer will be getting points based on the retail price of the product, rather than the discounted wholesale price.
So this is resulting in an overpayment of rewards points to my wholesale customers. I do want them to be able to earn the points, but I need those points based on the wholesale price.
I do not know coding. Is there an easy fix for this that anyone can think of? Or am I just going to have to decide between the two mods? I am charging my wholesale customers a monthly fee to have access to wholesale pricing, so I guess as a last resort I can up that fee a little to cover the extra points they will be earning.. but I'd hate to do that!
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

I have a copy of this running on my test cart and the problem you are describing is not happening for me. What version of Zen cart are you using? As you said it might be the previously modified shopping cart page. Did you use WinMerge to merge them? if you could post a copy of your old shopping cart page that might be helpful.

There will be some code that needs to be modified within the pages of your RP module. Basically it will check to see if a customer is WS and produce the right price for that customer based on the WS price. If you can wait a couple days I can look into this for you but right now I can't provide anymore help since I haven't worked with that module before. But you shouldn't have to worry as it should be possible.

Sorry my bad that's what I thought you wanted to do... I don't know of an SQL query that would work then... But so I understand you have 14.95 6.60-5.21 and you want to modify one of the whole sale pricing levels to 95% of it's current level... You'd need a PHP script to query the DB then explode the array, modify and then SET your fields again... But it does sounds like craftzombie has a solution for you. Sorry for any inconvenience by misreading your statement.

Read through this thread and find out which download does not contain the COWOA mod with it and then re-install. There are two new versions of Dual Pricing, one with the COWOA mod included. You want the one without it. I just can remember whose version does not have it. It is somewhere on this thread though.Quote:
