Ok, I see now. You have to substitute the logo file for yours and if you don't want to show the tagline you have to delete the text.
Logo:
includes\templates\sophybluegr\images\zcLogo.jpg
To change the name and dimmensions:
includes\languages\english\sophybluegr\header.php

There you will also see the tagline text. If you don't want to display it just leave it empty:

I downloaded the template and figured I would give it a try. I followed instructions and seems like the footer image is missing from my zip file. To see what I am talking about, I have it set as default here. http://www.twfsales.com/flagstore/
I did not change anything as of yet, well besides the stuff mentioned in the instruction file. Hope you can help me out because I honestly like the look of this template and would love to use it on my store. I will be out of town until monday, so will check back when I return home.

Just a note for everybody, do NOT order from the site unless you are serious about it. I had an older version of Zen loaded and even though the store was under reconstruction, I still had customers ordering stuff. So no test orders whatsoever.
Maybe I did something wrong, but when I had that problem I found the only way to fix it was to remove the definitions. Otherwise you still get a broken image tag box for the zencart logo popping up in the middle of the header image.Quote:

OK, this isn't getting better.. now IE is displaying the categories on my main page 1 per row. Firefox is showing them in 3 per row.
I updated the CSS file for the new version. Are there any other updated files and/or CSS changed that would change that?

I just have a short question. I want to change the background of the center of the page to be grey, too so that the whole background of the webpage looks the same color and not grey outside but in the middle white background. If there is an easy fix for that, it would be nice.

That's not a problem with the template, that's more the image wide size. See, when an image is enough wide the text will stay on 1 line, but when the image is not enough wide, the "Product Image" text will wrap to the next line.
I haven't seen any solution for this, the only thing I can think about is to go to your language file and change "Product Image" for "Image". That makes it 1 word and won't wrap.

I have done some modifying of the Sophy Blue-grey template (VERY nice template BTW), However, if you view my site in IE, all looks well. If you view it in Netscape or Firefox however, all is definately NOT well!!
Can you please look here in IE then any other browser and see if you can find out what is wrong?

I made that modification, but all it did was make IE look the same as firefox and netscape:down: There is two side issues in firefox and netscape besides the side boxes: The navigation bar at the top (yes, I just really like that feature of the simple Zen template) punches out to the side on firefox and netscape but not IE, and in the attribute dropdown options the background is blue and hard to see the black writing, the background is white in IE.Quote:

This is caused because your images/links on your header are coming out of the header space to the right, messing the rest of the template. Checkout your header template code and your css.

I don't see any problem with the login box in any browser (IE & FF), I do see the news box issue with IE.
Check your sideboxes templates (specially news) there should be the clue. Keep in mind that the header issue was there, so you may want to peek on that after fixing the boxes to return to your previous look.

Ok, all is well! I had to add float: right to the image tagline in the style sheet, it was there in the defining of the tag, but not the image define. That fixed the simple Zen header image problem.
The sideboxes had to much content: The login box had the password field to 24, setting it to 22 fixed the box. The news scroll was 10px too wide. I just need to figure out how to define the background color of text and dropdown attribute boxes since netscape and firefox are blue instead of white like IE... and of course, I need to go post somewhere to ask why firefox doesn't scroll the news properly like IE:dontgetit

Thanks for a great template!! Just tried the 1.36 version. I am having trouble widening the template. If I alter where it says 750px to 950px, it upsets the look of the sidebox, like a cascade of broken sidebox graphics repeating vertically. The width and spacing is fine ok horizontally. Is there any entries I need to change further?

I am trying to use the CSS Flyout Categories mod with Sophy Blue-Grey Template. I was able to figure out how to line it up but can't figure out how to get the bottom gif to show correctly. I want it to show the nice rounded edge like the information and search boxes do. Any suggestions?

For example now with the 2 columns (175px each) it's set to 750px width (as you can see with the header image. That leaves us with 400px on the center column. For example if you want a total width of 800px you will need to edit the header image to that width and then you have a center column of 450px. You will then have to do some changes to the CSS as well.

Love this template.. I am using it on two of my client's sites because I like the general layout.. However, I am having a problem with one of these sites.. I modified the graphics for one site to match the colors of the client's logo.. So far so good.. I went to the css file and modified all the background color references from #D4D4D4 or #63859D to my client's colors (#4E1721). Now when you look at the site in IE everything displays correctly.. However in Firefox, NONE of my background colors display correctly. HELP please.. What did I miss??? Here's the site URL..

Okay.. so now I have one more teeny weeny issue.. The background for the top menu bar isn't showing up (should be bar2.gif), but it isn't showing up.. any reason why?? I have already checked that the file was uploaded with the template..

Ok, I see your confusion... :D THAT MY FRIEND is the EZ Navigation bar, which uses the same image of the header navigation bar. Also you need to know that, it won't show up on your site until it has something to show (until you create an EZ link).
BTW... are you sure that it is "Designed by Over the Hill Web Designs"?

Okay.. got it.. I really need to write notes on what I have done.. still learning my way through the admin settings.. Turns out that what I needed to do was to turn off the categories tab bar.. :D

Your image is not showing. Your product images don't have to do with your template images, so your problem doesn't have to do with the template.

Why not use http://htmlhelp.com/tools/ to check your HTML & CSS code?
I didn't check your HTML but your CSS code has 3 or more errors, one repeating many times.
You have 10 stylesheets. I can't go through all of them to check which one is causing the issues. I can't troubleshoot with so many ones taking over. :blink:
My suggestion is delete them all and upload one by one (starting with stylesheet.ccs) and see when it crashes, that will give you the stylesheet where is the problem.

For that you go to:
Admin > Configuration > Index Listing > Show New Products on Main Page = 0
That will take care of it, you can see it on my demo, I turned it off so you can see the result.

Can someone please take a look at My Site, The Ashby Mint, click on ANY product, then look at the wish list box, bottom right and tell me how I can fix that? It looks fine if you log in and add a product to the wish list. It's ONLY that one box that is messed up, and for the life if me, I can't figure out how to fix it.

This looks like an add-on mod designed for a pre-1.3 version of Zen Cart. As such it is missing a key div that is used to control sidebox formats in 1.3+.
I've not looked at that particular mod, but from the code it generates there's a very high probability that post 2 in this thread will solve the problem for you.
How will making changes to a FAQ mod that I don't even have installed make any difference to how my Wish List mod is acting?
It won't. It's a generic set of changes that need to be made to almost any sidebox mod designed for 1.2.x for it to work properly in 1.3.x. So you apply them to your wishlist mod.

You will need to go and click on "Tutorials/FAQ" link on the top of the page. There are all the answers for these "start-up" questions that you have. You need to get familiar with the admin panel to learn how to manage properly your store and know where are all the things you want to change.
What you want to do can be done by turning off one of the 2 side columns. You find that switch on:
Admin > Configuration > Layout Settings

having some problems with FF. In IE the website looks fine but when i view it in firefox this happens look at image attached.
