2. I would like to show the available attribute choices available for each product?

[quote=paulm;379432]There are rumours (and it's very likely) that some people have done this, but as far as I know it's not publicly available. The mod does not include a stylesheet for 8.5" x 11"
Does anyone out there have the stylesheet for 8.5x11...please post.

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Attributes are not supported.
And if you are using price-list_v1.3-pre5 the image width and height settings can be found in de admin. There is a bug in it though. I attached an update zip to this post which should fix the bug and improves the group functionality (I hope). This update is only to update price-list_v1.3-pre5, not any other version.
If your using an older pricelist version the image settings may be harcoded in one of the files. Probably best to upgrade then.
Please let me know if the image size settings work ok now, and if the group functionality still works.

For the image settings do you mean in Configuration/images? If so which setting? There are a lot of setting in here and I can't find one that is called pricelist or seems to be associated with the price list. Which setting controls the price list image size.
Also just a wishlist item can it be possible in the future for additional images to be shown?
Thanks

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
You should update the download link to the latest version. I do believe the download link had 1.3-pre2

Thanks for reminding me :-)
The 1.3-pre5 file is attached to an earlier post in this thread. I usually wait until I get some positive feedback about the latest version I uploaded to the thread before I upload to the Zen downloads. This prevents that buggy versions are uploaded, and saves me and the Zen devs some time.
So if someone is willing to download 1.3-pre5 + the update to 1.3.6 and tell me if it works ok (especially the image size and group features), I will upload it to the zen downloads. And please always mention the version number!

No, sorry for the confusion, it's in the pricelist settings under each profile (only in recent versions):
admin|Configuration|Price-list Profile-1 (and the other profiles of course)

Nice idea, but not a feature I will add myself probably. But of course anyone is free to add features themselves :-)

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
could you please make options to remove images/descriptions as my descritpions are huge and i dont need them. i just want to have name of product , image and price.
-
Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
@ seth04 and andyroe208: difficult to say anything about it without actually seeing it happen...
@rhys100: it's in the pricelist configuration settings in your admin (but that might depend on the version...)
I attached pricelist version 1.3.6 to this post (temporary), previous attached files will be removed soon.
And I am taking a break form this thread. Maybe/probably I'll be back later again :-)

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread

EZ-Pages sidebox dissapeared after PFP install?
Hi Guys,
Not sure if anyone has experienced this issue but after installing price list for printing on ZC V1.3.6 my EZ pages side box disappeared. I have checked the EZ admin area and the info is still all there and has the correct sort order but alas it just doesn't display. I have tried de-installing and re-installing a number of time but this makes no difference.
Could the PFP DB install of affected my EZ-Pages db configuration?
If so what do I need to restore the EZ Pages side box - getting down and dirty via PHPAdmin or some other magical method. :)
Oh! and to all those installing this and contrib any Zen contribution - read the first line of the install section of the read me file and do it! :(
BACKUP*BACKUP*BACKUP*BACKUP*BACKUP*BACKUP*BACKUP*BACKUP*BACKUP*BACKUP*BACKUP!
Many Thanks
Les :)

Re: EZ-Pages sidebox dissapeared after PFP install?
I also have to ask, how do you turn off pics and descriptions, cant see an option in the list of settings. I used the latest version from the downloads section.

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
@psr racing: could you install price-list_v1.3.6.zip (attached to my post a couple of posts up in this thread) and tell me if it solves your problem?
@webman: I am quite sure your EZ pages problem is not related to this contribution (Just to be sure I even checked it on a test Zen Cart 1.3.7 install + price-list_v1.3.6 and the EZ pages work just fine).
@rhys100: I just installed price-list_v1.3.6 and the image and description settings are there, so it indeed looks like you're mising something. I attached a screenshot of the settings, which should be visible right after installing the included pricelist-3.sql.
Older versions may not have this settings (or may have the settings in a configuration file).

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Hello everybody,
A few days ago I asked how to add the "Add to cart button" to the pricelist.
While waiting for an answer a friend of mine begun to try do it, as you'll see we are not a PHP specialists but he said this must be a copy/paste matter.
So he did :
in
/includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/pricelist.php
he added
Code:
define('TABLE_HEADING_ADDTOCART', 'Add to cart');
at the end just before the last ?>
in
/includes/modules/pages/pricelist/header_php.php
near line 119
Code:
after
define('TEXT_PL_HEADER_LOGO', $pl_profile);
he added
eval('$pl_profile = TABLE_HEADING_ADDTOCART_' . PL_PROFILE . ';');
define('TABLE_HEADING_ADDTOCART', $pl_profile);
near line 203
Code:
After
if (PL_SHOW_SOH == 'true') {
$colspan++;
he added
$colspan++;
near line 523
Code:
after
if (PL_SHOW_TAX_FREE == 'true') {
$columnsHeader .= '<td class="prcPL">' . TABLE_HEADING_PRICE_EX . PL_CURR_SYMBOL . '</td>' . "\n";
he added
$columnsHeader .= '<td>'. TABLE_HEADING_ADDTOCART . '</td>' . "\n";
And finally near line 610
Code:
after
if (PL_SHOW_TAX_FREE == 'true') {
$prodRow .= '<td class="' . $price_class . '">' . $products_price_ex . '</td>' . "\n";
}
he added
$display_qty = (($flag_show_product_info_in_cart_qty == 1 and $_SESSION['cart']->in_cart($products_id)) ? '<p>' . PRODUCTS_ORDER_QTY_TEXT_IN_CART . $_SESSION['cart']->get_quantity($products_id) . '</p>' : '');
// show the quantity box
$prodRow .='<td>' . zen_draw_form('cart_quantity', zen_href_link(zen_get_info_page($products_id), zen_get_all_get_params(array('action')) . 'action=add_product'), 'post', 'enctype="multipart/form-data" target="_Cartpage " class="AddButtonBox"') . "\n" . $the_button = PRODUCTS_ORDER_QTY_TEXT . '<input type="text" name="cart_quantity" value="' . (zen_get_buy_now_qty($products_id)) . '" maxlength="6" size="4" /><br />' . zen_get_products_quantity_min_units_display((int)$products_id) . '<br />' . zen_draw_hidden_field('products_id', (int)$products_id) . zen_image_submit(BUTTON_IMAGE_IN_CART, BUTTON_IN_CART_ALT). '</form></td>';
And all this works, you get an "Add to cart button" for every product. when you clic on it, the cart is built in a new window or new tab (depends on the browser).
BUT ! I tried to make it a bit cleaner and to go as far as I can to give the pricelist author clean files so that he can validate this modification. I tried to add a confirguration key in the database and to act regarding this key.
The key I added is PL_SHOW_ADDTOCART_BUTTON
Here is the SQL code
Code:
INSERT INTO `configuration` ( `configuration_title` , `configuration_key` , `configuration_value` , `configuration_description` , `configuration_group_id` , `sort_order` , `last_modified` , `date_added` , `use_function` , `set_function` )
VALUES (
'Show Add to cart button', 'PL_SHOW_ADDTOCART_BUTTON', 'true', 'Defines if the Add to cart button is visible or not.', '33', '210', NULL , '0001-01-01 00:00:00', NULL , 'zen_cfg_select_option(array(''true'', ''false''),'
), (
NULL , '', '', '', '', '0', NULL , NULL , '0001-01-01 00:00:00', NULL , ''
I wrapped the above modifications around "if{}" but, I don't see the new key in admin, nor the mod works. I must have an eval problem on my config key but I don't see where.
Here are the final modifications in
/includes/modules/pages/pricelist/header_php.php
line 119
Code:
eval('$pl_profile = TABLE_HEADING_ADDTOCART_' . PL_PROFILE . ';');
define('TABLE_HEADING_ADDTOCART', $pl_profile);
eval('$pl_profile = PL_SHOW_ADDTOCART_BUTTON_' . PL_PROFILE . ';');
define('PL_SHOW_ADDTOCART_BUTTON', $pl_profile);
line 204
Code:
if (PL_SHOW_ADDTOCART_BUTTON == 'true') {
$colspan++;
}
line 523
Code:
if (PL_SHOW_ADDTOCART_BUTTON == 'true') {
$columnsHeader .= '<td>'. TABLE_HEADING_ADDTOCART . '</td>' . "\n";
}
line 610
Code:
if (PL_SHOW_ADDTOCART_BUTTON == 'true') {
$display_qty = (($flag_show_product_info_in_cart_qty == 1 and $_SESSION['cart']->in_cart($products_id)) ? '<p>' . PRODUCTS_ORDER_QTY_TEXT_IN_CART . $_SESSION['cart']->get_quantity($products_id) . '</p>' : '');
// show the quantity box
$prodRow .='<td>' . zen_draw_form('cart_quantity', zen_href_link(zen_get_info_page($products_id), zen_get_all_get_params(array('action')) . 'action=add_product'), 'post', 'enctype="multipart/form-data" target="_Cartpage " class="AddButtonBox"') . "\n" . $the_button = PRODUCTS_ORDER_QTY_TEXT . '<input type="text" name="cart_quantity" value="' . (zen_get_buy_now_qty($products_id)) . '" maxlength="6" size="4" /><br />' . zen_get_products_quantity_min_units_display((int)$products_id) . '<br />' . zen_draw_hidden_field('products_id', (int)$products_id) . zen_image_submit(BUTTON_IMAGE_IN_CART, BUTTON_IN_CART_ALT). '</form></td>';
}
If any PHP guru could take a look at this and find the bug it would be very cool.
Thanks for help
Regards
Hubert
Here are the modified files.

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Hi Hubert,
very nice :thumbsup:
I also read your other post about it, but I didn't find to the time yet to answer it correctly.
It looks like you have an error in the sql. Are you trying to update the existing sql? Or trying to create an sql file which updates an existing installation?
If you would like to add it to the exsiting sql file you should add sometiming similar (just an example!) to this:
Code:
INSERT INTO configuration ( configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, use_function, set_function )
VALUES ( 'Images', 'PL_SHOW_IMAGE_1', 'false', 'If true products images are shown', @pricelistid , 210, NULL , 'zen_cfg_select_option(array(\'true\', \'false\'),' );
for each profile to the sql file.
PL_SHOW_ADDTOCART_BUTTON_1 for profile 1, PL_SHOW_ADDTOCART_BUTTON_2 for profile 2 and PL_SHOW_ADDTOCART_BUTTON_3 for profile 3
In the example "210" is the sort order (where the setting is displayed in the admin compared to the other pricelist settings).
hth, it's far too late here already...

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Hi Paulm,
i've just changed a bit the core so that the button is sometime "Add to cart" and sometime "more info"
Code:
if (PL_SHOW_ADDTOCART_BUTTON == 'true') {
if (zen_has_product_attributes($products_id) ) {
$prodRow .= '<td><a href="' . zen_href_link(zen_get_info_page($products_id), ($_GET['cPath'] > 0 ? 'cPath=' . $_GET['cPath'] . '&' : '') . 'products_id=' . $products_id) . '" target="_Cartpage " >' . MORE_INFO_TEXT . '</a></td>';
}else{
$display_qty = (($flag_show_product_info_in_cart_qty == 1 and $_SESSION['cart']->in_cart($products_id)) ? '<p>' . PRODUCTS_ORDER_QTY_TEXT_IN_CART . $_SESSION['cart']->get_quantity($products_id) . '</p>' : '');
// show the quantity box
$prodRow .='<td>' . zen_draw_form('cart_quantity', zen_href_link(zen_get_info_page($products_id), zen_get_all_get_params(array('action')) . 'action=add_product'), 'post', 'enctype="multipart/form-data" target="_Cartpage " class="AddButtonBox"') . "\n" . $the_button = PRODUCTS_ORDER_QTY_TEXT . '<input type="text" name="cart_quantity" value="' . (zen_get_buy_now_qty($products_id)) . '" maxlength="6" size="4" /><br />' . zen_get_products_quantity_min_units_display((int)$products_id) . '<br />' . zen_draw_hidden_field('products_id', (int)$products_id) . zen_image_submit(BUTTON_IMAGE_IN_CART, BUTTON_IN_CART_ALT). '</form></td>';
}
}
but that's not the big problem for now,
I found that if I trick my system by
Code:
//define('PL_SHOW_ADDTOCART_BUTTON', $pl_profile);
define('PL_SHOW_ADDTOCART_BUTTON', 'true');
Everything is fine, so I really got an eval problem.
About the sql, I added (only for profile 1 for the moment),
Code:
VALUES ( 'Show Add to cart button', 'PL_SHOW_ADDTOCART_BUTTON°1', 'true', 'If true the an Add to cart button is shown for each product.', @pricelistid , 290, NULL , 'zen_cfg_select_option(array(\'true\', \'false\'),' );
This is ok for seeing the setting in the admin profile 1 but this doesn't solve the eval problem, my system still doesn't see the value of the database field....
Thanks for help
Hubert

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Oh ! I think I was messing up between my test config and my live config trying to see if it works on one while doing changes on the other one....
I'll continue later...
Can someone test that mod on a test site to see if it works ?
Thanks

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Quote:

That probably explains the issue :-) The eval looks fine to me.
(I only would not add a seaprate one for the table heading, but that's not really an issue just personal preference)
An idea could be to combine the "More Info" and "Add to Cart" and put both in the same table cell maybe? Nobody wants to print either of those anyway I suppose, so those two would only be enabled in a profile not meant for printing.
Some notes about the add to cart itself:
Here $display_qty contains info about the amount of the product in the cart, but it looks like it's never echoed:
Code:
$display_qty = (($flag_show_product_info_in_cart_qty == 1 and $_SESSION['cart']->in_cart($products_id)) ? '<p>' . PRODUCTS_ORDER_QTY_TEXT_IN_CART . $_SESSION['cart']->get_quantity($products_id) . '</p>' : '');
If you add $display_qty to the table cell (i.e.: $prodRow .='<td>' . $display_qty . zen_draw_form..... etc etc) it may show. I am not sure if $flag_show_product_info_in_cart_qty is available, if not you can set it to 1 or remove it's check.
And another minor issue:
Code:
target="_Cartpage "
looks like an invalid HTML parameter. It probably won't break anything as it is, but I would replace it with: I think I should have unsubscribed form this thread earlier, after I unsubscribed finally there is some interesting feedback again... :smartalec:

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Hi Paulm,
thanks for your comments. I'm going to perfect my mod and I'll send you the final release so that you can validate it.
Quote:

The spirit behind my mod is to make a POS system for the poors, to give a easy way to have all the products on hand while taking order from phone or from a customer in front of you. We don't really need "more info" while clicking on the product name gives the same result, but showing one or the other gives the info on if a product has attributes or not.
about
Quote:
target="_Cartpage "
This is made beacause I wanted everytime ones clic on "Add to cart" to get the result in the same window. If I write "_blank" this makes a new window or a new tab each time wich is memory consuming and not really user friendly.
Thanks

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Another unexpected update :smartalec:
@MMSAachen: can you try the sql included in the version attached to this post? And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me if it helps or not (getting a bit tired of creating and posting possible solutions without getting feedback).
@Hubert: I (quickly, but hopefully correctly) added your buy now button code to the new version.
Attached v1.4: some minor fixes, added logic and (basic) CSS for products images random layout (floats left/right, nicer looks on printed catalogs), and added the buy now button code Hubert posted about (in this thread).

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Hey evrybody,
@paulm:
thanks for your interest in my problem, so i tryed the v1.4 that you attached in your posting, but now i become the following error (method copy&past):
Quote:
1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '1', '2', '3' ),' )' at line 1
in:

If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.
.
If i do it with PHPMyAdmin i becom the folowing error:
Quote:
# Profiles
# Profile 1
INSERT INTO `configuration_group`
VALUES (
NULL , 'Price-list Profile-1', 'Settings for printable price-list profile-1.', @sortorder +2, 1
);
MySQL meldet: Dokumentation
#1136 - Column count doesn't match value count at row 1
.
am i wrong with all them what i do???? :lamo: :frusty:
-
Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
It looks like your MySQL version (can you tell me what MySQL version you are using?) does not allow this syntax:
Code:
INSERT INTO `configuration_group`
VALUES (
NULL , 'Price-list Profile-1', 'Settings for printable price-list profile-1.', @sortorder +2, 1
);
but needs the names of all the columns. I fixed this for the other error you posted about, but I did not realize there where more lines having the same problem. Sorry about that :blush:
Attached 1.4.1 to this post (only change compared to 1.4 is the pricelist-3.sql fix ), hopefully this time it's really fixed.
(will remove v1.4)

EDIT:
It works great, is there any way to add a small thumb image next to it, so that is like a printable catalogue?

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
I installed the version in the Downloads section, but I see that there is a version 1.4.1 of this mod in this thread. Is the 1.4.1 the latest version?
AFAIK I have successfully installed the mod, but I am not entirely clear how the user (Including the webmaster) prints just the required output because there doesn't seem to be a 'printer-friendly' or a 'print' button. Please, could someone explain how to print?
-
Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
I have the current version from the download section installed and I would like to know how to only select a few categories. I have seen the switch in the profiles to turn the default all products off however, i do not know how to add specific categories to print. The reason for this is I have linked categories and dont need them all in the printable list.

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Just tried the printable pricelist. I have a few of questions:
1) One problem is that it doesn't print the whole page. It cuts off the items and stops printing with about 1/4 of the page left blank at the bottom.
2) Is there anyway to have it not print the web page title and page count at the very top and the webpage address and date at the very bottom?
3) It only prints as much text as is dictated by the picture size. Is there any way to set it to print all text regardless of picture size?
Thanks!

I also need help with 1 and 2 you listed, but sorted 3 out myself, cannot remember exactly what I did, but it works great. The only thing I got problems with if I use bigger text size, but I'm going back to normal text size.
I've tried everything with the page cut-off, cannot get it right:censored::frusty:
Please help us out
Thanx

You can print it from your browser, but be sure to print preview it first, it sometimes ciutts-off some stuff.

I read somewhere how to fix no 3, not sure now.
No 2 is my main concirn, but first have to sort out other problems, than I'll get back to it.

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
OK Fluffy Bunny #2...
Alt+E will turn off headers and footers. :-)
Or If you use IE7, just do a print preview and turn off the headers and footers. That will stop the web page title and web page address from printing. :-)

3) It only prints as much text as is dictated by the picture size. Is there any way to set it to print all text regardless of picture size?

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
More info on the printable pricelist problems just in case someone out there knows how to fix it...
Problem 1: When trying to print the "printable" price list using IE7, it cuts off the bottom of the last boxes in the columns...
Problem 2: When trying to print the "printable" price list using FF, it inserts a blank page after each page...
Does anyone know how to get it to either, print the bottom of the last boxes in the coulmns using IE7, or get it to not insert a blank page after every page in FF?
Thanks!

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
I hope I haven't missed so sorry if it has been covered, it but can't see an answer to the following;
My Logo shows (customised template) in the window but not in print preview and doesn't print. (IE7 on 3 different computers all the same issue)
Any idea how I turn printing of my own logo "on" ???
Thanks in advance

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
I installed the Printable Price List v. 1.2 (running ZenCart 1.3.7)
Am I missing something? but I don't see any Admin settings (I checked all 3 profiles) to make the Price List look just as it does in a sample shot provided w/ the module ( see file : screenshot.png) wher there are no descriptions, no pictures of products)
Please help.

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
@all4coffee: version 1.2? That's a very old version. Try price-list_v1.4.1, which is now available at the downloads section or you can find it a couple of posts up in this thread.

It might be in the screen only section of the output (the top header of the page is not printed by design), or it's a background (in which case you can make it print by changing your browser print setting). An url to the the page makes answering questions like this a lot easier...

I think you are using the A4 css on another paper size. Difficult to say without url.

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
price-list_v1.4.1 is now available at the downloads section:
http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=276
Note that:
- There is no print button on the pricelist. You just type in the url (for example: http://www.yourdomain.nl/zen-cart/in...page=pricelist, or add a link somewhere if you like) and in your browser menu click "File :: Print".
- The included CSS is for A4 paper size printing only and default browser/printer settings. For other paper sizes, and depending on your browser/printer settings, you may need to tweak the CSS and/or settings on how much data to print.
- Don't expect much support from me. I share the updates I write (whenever I think it's a real improvement), but my time to support it is very limited.

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Hi PaulM,
I updated to the latest version of the printable pricelist.
What happened to the pictures? Can I turn them back on???
Here is a link to my printable pricelist:
http://www.allk-9.com/index.php?main_page=pricelist
If you open it in Fire Fox and do a print preview, it inserts a blank page between each page...
The bottom of the boxes now show in IE7 with profile 1. :smile: But can I turn the pictures back on?
Thanks!
-
Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
@cookiesa: de top header is for screen view only by design, that is why the logo is not printed. There is an admin switch for each profile to turn the page headers on and off (screen and print), by default the page headers are off.
gsdcypher: on what paper size are you trying to print? (if I try to print your list in FF I see no blank pages...). And there is an on/off switch for images for each profile in the admin (default is off).

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Hi paulm,
Normal size paper 8 1/2 x 11 portrait. When you first open the pricelist it looks great. No blank pages. in between. BUT... when you do a print preview in FF, you will see the blank pages.
Is there a way to turn the pictures back on???
Thanks!

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Paul, thank you. I removed v. 1.2 and installed the latest version - works, print great (IE 7) - no problems.

I don't think 8 1/2 x 11 is normal size.
The default settings of the pricelist and the included stylesheets for printing are designed for
A4 paper size(which is not the same as US letter! or whatever it's called). Info about standarized paper formats (in dutch, but I think the idea is clear, even if you can't read dutch): http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/A4_%28papierformaat%29

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Ay carumba! So you did. Totally missed that. Sorry.
1) Where is the css stored for the paper size so I can try and change the paper size?
2) Where is the setting to turn on images?
My Printable Price-List has these settings:
Defalult Profile
Show Profile
My Price-List Profiles have these settings:
Title Enable Profile Name Stylesheet Main Cats New Page Main Cats New Table No Wrap Max Columns Max Rows Tax Free Model Manufacturer Weight Stock On Hand Notes (A) Notes (B) Show Inactive Sort By Asc Desc All Categories default Boxes Debug
Did something get dropped during the upgrade?
Thanks

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
OK re-updated the new mod and the image switch is now in the profile. Sweet. :smile:
Now I just need to know where and how to change the settings from A4 to 8 1/2 x 11. If anyone knows, please let me know.
Thanks.

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
hey. I have my pricelist looking just the way i want it. The only thing is can I somehow get it to print all on one page and not sepearate each category.
http://www.ipodweapons.com/index.php...list&profile=1
I can change the config and set "Main Cats New Page" to false, but this alters the style of the page in a way.
thx

Not sure if it still matters, but the main change would be to edit the stylsheet and change:
Code:
.pagePL, #pageOnePL, .pageOnePL{height: 25.5cm;/* overflow: hidden; */}
To this for example
Code:
.pagePL, #pageOnePL, .pageOnePL{height: 8inch;/* overflow: hidden; */}
Or in cm if inch does not work, I think inch will work just fine, but I never use inches myself... Of course the exact setting depends on your margins etcetera.
Besides that you may want to tweak the width settings a little (in the same stylesheet) and/or what columns to print (admin).

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Thanks seanscully. Yep it still matters. :-) Where is that located/which file is that code in?
Thanks

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
@PaulM : I was away from the thread, and I was surprised to see you put the add to cart button mod. Thank you :-)
For the ones having the images gone, check your CSS, the img tag is perhaps visiblity:hidden.

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
I forgot
Another thing is that I was thinking of perfecting the "POS for poors" mod or perhaps I'll call it "Really Simple POS" :
now we can use the category menu not to have the complete product list shown, that's nice but each time you change category it reloads the whole page, so I was thinking of three things.
The first one must be very easy, it's to make the image sensible so that we can click on it to add to cart.
The second is no more complicated, it's to change the popup category menu to a clickable table of images.
But the third is a bit more difficult because I'm not a coder, but I'm quite sure it's not a big deal for someone who knows how to write some AJAX code. You already understood what I was about : it's to make the Really Simple POS an AJAX thing so that going from one category to another would be very fast and easy.
If someone can take a look at that it would be great.
Regards
Hubert

Use Crimson editor to open folder YOUR TEMPLATE and load file profile-a4-portrait.css
I did a little testing - after running a 93 page catalog I found 8inch was not correct, on line 137 I changed it to read
height: 27.9cm;
I did a small test to Adobe and then printed a few pages and it appears to look formated.
Now does anyone know what to modify to remove the pricing and shorten descriptions to say 128 characters? I want to make a catalog with pictures, breif descriptions and no prices.

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Hi Seanscully,
Our line numbers don't match up, probably because of spaces.... But I changed this line:
Code:
.pagePL, #pageOnePL, .pageOnePL
{
height: 27.9cm;
/* overflow: hidden; */
}
Is that correct???
When print my pricelist via IE7 (print preview), the boxes still don't use the entire page (i.e. don't go all the way to the bottom of the page).
There is about 2 1/2 inches of page left below the bottom of the boxes...
-
Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Code:
.pagePL, #pageOnePL, .pageOnePL
{
height: 27.9cm;
/* overflow: hidden; */
}
In general I can say that :
- If this value is to high for you paper size (+ printer settings), the pages will never fit the paper (even if there is not enough content on the page to fill the paper). In practice the printer will start a new page for you because it detects that the (invisible) output does not fit, and ususally this leads to printing an extra empty page after each normal page.
- If it's to low, a new page will always be started by the printer to soon, even before the page is full. So you will waist some paper.
The idea is that you set it to a value as high as possible, but that the printer just does not start printing the extra empty pages.
- If the above value is correct you can still have pages that don't fit the paper size (to small and waisting some paper, or to large and ...). To correct that you can do several things (like adjusting other css values like margins padding and font sizes for example), but usually you should just adjust "Max Rows" then (pricelist admin settings).
(when printing images and/or description you might also want to adjust the "Extra lines" pricelist admin value)

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
I have three requests for a future version:
- the ability to show the quantity discount pricing breakdown
- the ability to show attribute pictures
- the ability to show a list of available attributes per product (especially when some attributes change the base price)
Other than that, it rox! :yes:
Cheers. T.

I agree that it would be great if those features would be added the the pricelist, but I am afraid I am not able to do it, so hopefully someone else will...

Some older versions had the pricelist.php language file in the extra_definitions folder. It should be (re)moved one level up to the "english\" (or whatever other language) directory. When it's in extra_definitions\ it overwrites the NAVBAR_TITLE definition on every page of your shop.

I encountered the same issue actually, and i could not see anyone who had replied to this issue. But i could find the somewhat *trivial* reason why this was happening: it is just that you forgot to copy the Pricelist folder and its content in the /includes/modules/pages section.
hope this helps a few newzenner like me ;)

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Hello,
Does the printable price list work with the wholesale pricing module? Will it display the wholesale pricing fields, too?
We have version 1.37 installed with a few additional modules applies.
thank you.

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Hi,
I've installed this great contribution, but I'm having some kind of problem with the group pricing restriction.
I want to show the price list only to a certain group (let's call them merchants). I inserted a group pricing group 'merchants' (0.00% discount) and added a registered customer to this group. When I enter 'merchants' in
Quote:
Group name
This list will be shown only when the customers groupname starts with the name you enter here (admin|customers|group pricing). Leave empty to show to all.
no one can access the price list, even the logged-in members of merchants can't.
And I don't want to leave it blank.
Any idea what I might have done wrong?
Regards
Martin
-
Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
@rmn: the wholesale pricing mod is not supported
@erzfeind: after adding the merchant to the group, did you logout and login the merchant? You might even need to close the browser (to start a new session, the group is added to the session only once if I remember correctly).

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Hi,
thanks for your quick reply.
That didn't help, if there is a group name set in the price list config, no one can access the price list :dontgetit

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread

-
Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
1.4.1 with ZC 1.3.7
It seems that the function zen_group_is_valid always returns false as far as I understood the code (with printline debugging ;)
-
Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
It looks like I left something out or something :blush: I remember I was combining two pieces of group code I wrote at the time.
It works on my test install though, I will take a look and hopefully I will be able to find the missing part quickly .... It's probably a missing init_includes file.
-
Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Can you upload the attached file and tell me if it helps?
Another option may be to uncomment:
Code:
//if((isset($_SESSION['customer_id']))&&(!isset($_SESSION['group_name']))) zen_group_name_add_to_session();
in function zen_group_is_valid()
But I think adding the file is better, to prevent possible upgrade problems (not that updates are expected soon, other than a fix for this issue).

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Hi,
Great module, i just installed it but it does not work for me. On thre page i have three options...a4 Potrait, a4 Landscape, Testing.
A4 landscape works,
but with a4 potrait and testing i get this error..
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: tm_box_head() in /hsphere/local/home/site/includes/templates/theme005/sideboxes/tpl_languages.php on line 27
Any ideas....
also i didnt get the last few posts can we use this with dual pricing...

It looks like your languages sidebox is corrupted or something. You can switch "Boxes" to false in the pricelist admin settings for these profiles. This will disable the languages and currency box.

I think not, that probably would need some code edits.

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Thanks for quick reply. I got that sorted.. replaced with the latest file.
Few quick questions:
My third link says testing.. why? where can i change that.
Also once i click on testing i get this.. how do i correct it:
nc. £ ex. £ TABLE_HEADING_ADDTOCART_3
100 100
You can see its not picking up the nc and ex amount, i believe this is tax/vat. Also it says next to it table_heading_addtocart_3 why....
-
Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Sorry i have managed to sort out the heading.. just not sure why its not picking up pricing with tax too and the writing after it..
i.e.
nc. £ ex. £ TABLE_HEADING_ADDTOCART_3
100 100
Thanks
-
Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
right, noticed one thing, if i have my settings under configuration/mystore/display prices with tax set to true it works fine but this means it display prices with tax on the product itself on the main page and i prefer having tax at the end...
anyone else has or having this issue... how can it be sorted.
Also struggling to see why am getting TABLE_HEADING_ADDTOCART_3 when add to cart option is selected.
Anyone... cos my head is now spinning :( :frusty:
-
Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Indeed the including tax prices in the pricelist only are including when your shop is configured to show including tax prices. It probably should issue a warning or something when it can't display the tax price, but the current version just shows the ex price then.
Sorry, but showing the pricelist inc prices including tax when the shop is configered not to show including is not a feature that is likely to be added soon. I agree it would be a nice feature though :-)
Quote:
TABLE_HEADING_ADDTOCART_3
That looks like a bug.
In includes\modules\pages\pricelist\header_php.php this:
Code:
eval('$pl_profile = TABLE_HEADING_ADDTOCART_' . PL_PROFILE . ';');
define('TABLE_HEADING_ADDTOCART', $pl_profile);
should be removed or commented out (I think, not tested). If you leave it and define TABLE_HEADING_ADDTOCART_3 (and TABLE_HEADING_ADDTOCART_2 and TABLE_HEADING_ADDTOCART_1) it will be fixed too, and you can have different headings for this for each profile :smartalec:

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Cheers for that, greatly appreciate your help and what a great module.
Now if displaying products with tax is not possible when i dont display with tax on my main page can i:
At present we can turn off ex£ from admin. Now in my case i would have wanted to keep that and turn off in£.... there is no option for that.
in£ ex£ -> can do this
in£ -> can do this
ex£ -> cant do(this is what i want)
If there is no option den i can change in£ to ex£ meaning if i were to turn on ex£ option i would have ex£ ex£, i dont mind this as i use that option.
So what coding can i change or anything simpler and i am missing it.
Thanks.
-
Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Sorted.. it was in pricelist.php in languages/english.
Thanks for the suggestions... great module, very happy.
Things i cant wait for.... display prices with tax whilst having it not display in strore.
But most important the dual pricing....
Is it not so simple to set it up or is it very complicated.... hope someone expert in coding does manage to do it.
-
Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Can the pricelist be password protected? I personally would want to use the pricelist for store purposes only and I do not want to enable it for large public.
Is there a known sloution for this?
thank you,
Ox.

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
just use the group pricing feature.
Create your own account in your store and adda group pricing group 'admin' or something like that. Then add the customer(s) who should be permitted to see the list to this group
And then add this group to the group name in the price list profile configuration.

Exactly :smile:
Maybe I will add a login box later (currently only a basic message is shown when you are not allowed to see the list, and you need to go back to the store to login, which is a bit annoying of course).

Re: Printable Price list :: support thread
Ok,
for other newbies like me following this thread:
in "yourcart"\includes\functions\extra_functions edit the group_functions.php and take out the "\\" from:
//if((isset($_SESSION['customer_id']))&&(!isset($_SESSION['group_name']))) zen_group_name_add_to_session();
so it looks like:
if((isset($_SESSION['customer_id']))&&(!isset($_SESSION['group_name']))) zen_group_name_add_to_session();
then the group admin should work - at least mine does now.
I hope this helps other people as well.

Hi oxxyfx,
can you tell what version of Zen Cart you are using? Because adding the missing file (\includes\init_includes\init_zen_group.php) actually should fix the issue without any file modification (on Zen Cart 1.3.x versions).

Then I don't understand why adding the file doesn't fix it. But because it does not hurt anything I will leave the formentioned line of code uncommented in a next release.
Thanks for the feedback on this :-)
