I haven't found the solution for swfobject issue, so meanwhile I replace swfobject with AC_RunActiveContent, it makes my code looks bad but at least it works well with others so far.
PS: I even tried swfobject 2.1 and also didn't work.

Oh I've found a temporary solution. I put the flash into an iframe, to force it to load after hoverboxes javascript. It worked! Unfortunately though, it puts the flash at the top level, so hoverbox ends up behind the flash. In IE it's ok because I changed the css so it never opens high enough to go underneath my flash (which is a header/banner), but in Firefox because the hoverbox images scrolls with the page, you can scroll up and it goes behind my Flash header. Is there anyway way to make the image not scroll with the window?Quote:

Hello I am having an issue with hoverbox and hopefully it is something very easy to fix. In zen cart i have a category view with pic1. When that product is clicked it takes you to the product info page with has another picture which we will call pic2. Now what i want to happen is when i click the "larger Image" link hover box opens but shows pic1 large but this isnt what i want. I would like to have hoverbox make pic2 and only pic2 large. Is this possible. I have already added the filename with the _LRG.jpg in the image/large/ directory however it isnt working. This is much easier to understand if you go to the site and check it out. i just install the HoverBox3 addon on my local test site just as indication show in the readme file. when i go to my site, no hover images appear, but, when i click on the thumbimages to see the bigger one as usual, just a blank page will appear! why?
i created my site basing on XAMPP, zen-cart 1.3.8a, having just added fckeditor2.6 and hoverbox3. nothing else!

I have a problem with HoverBox 3 and IH2.
Installed both mods (first IH and second HB3) and everything work's ok except the watermark feature.
If I install only the IH2 all large pictures of a product are watermarked.
If I install both IH2 and HoverBox 3 only the main picture of a product is watermarked and the rest of additional pictures are not.
Could someone explain me please how I can fix this problem ?

- How can I activate the SlideShow feature on HoverBox 3
- Where can I hind the .psd files for buttons ?
- I want to make the prev and next buttons bigger. Is there an option to make this buttons to be always visible over the picture?
I have installed hoverbox3 and IH2 successfully, however when i use a javascript clock on the site (in the common header) product pages do not always display, it says:
internet explorer cannot open the internet site 'blah blah' ,
operation aborted
My question is, is this still a problem with hoverbox as with lightbox where it does not work with other javascript present? or is it an issue with my server? is this a fault with my header? is there a work around?
the main page of zen-cart always loads, it just seems to be the product page, when hoverbox is loaded. These will load if you hit refresh or open in a new tab usually but not always, timing issue?
i will keep hoverbox rather than the clock but i would like to keep both so it matches my main e107 site.

I am trying to figure out how to get hoverbox to display the _MED files when clicked on in the product info page. I have a normal size image on the category menu then on the product info page i have a _MED file which i want to make larger with hoverbox 3. For some reason it displays the main product image on the category page. Is there a fix for this?

Can anybody tell me how to clean uninstall hoverbox3. I deleted all the files it installed or reverted the one's it's written over to the original (I believe). I also ran the SQL uninstall script.

Some of these problems could be caused by having image handler 2 which is turned off i believe, hoverbox 3, fuel box or something, and zen light box. I really need to figure out how to have it to where when the product info image is clicked it brings a larger picture of that picture. What my site is doing is bringing the category picture. Hello, ive installed Hoverbox3 over light box (after looking @ both demo's i decided hover was a nicer look & feel) i already had image handler2 installed, configured and tested
install went fine, existing products & picture worked fine, but when trying to upload new pictures & products, i found image handler 2 wasnt installed anymore (i had to click install IH2 under admin->tools->IH2) then it seemed to run fine, but
when i upload new pictures IH2 hover works fine, for all images but hover only works for the main picture (except for pictures installed before Hoverbox3) alt pictures never load.....
any ideas?

Please help me to get this mod - HB3 working.
I have done a fresh install of HB3. I didn't have IH2 and uninstalled Zen Lightbox (which also never worked) completely.
On my product page, I do see the main product image with the caption of enlarge image, when i click on it, it just opens up the image on a NEW page not like a overlay effect.
Could someone please guide me how to get this working ? Thank you.

finally i got it all working. But on IE6/7 Hb3 is broken. The overlay comes up but not the enlarged image. Also when you click on the overlay to switch it off, nothing happens and the site is frozen.

Weird? I've just tested this module using IE on 4 other computers at work without any glitches. I'm thinking that this might not be an outright bug, but that there is the odd suscepability for things to go wrong in IE depending on it's settings, stored data, etc etc? I'm going to fiddle a bit later with my home pc in the hope that i can get it to work there as well.. It works on more IE browsers than it does'nt so maybe it's just the odd isolated case.

This is from Testuse web site. There aren't any options available to set the image width and heights for HoverBox. Auto detection is done when using smart image resizing. Other than that the images dimensions can be controlled via Configuration :: Images in the admin area of your cart.Quote:

This seems like a great add-on. One thing I was wondering is if there was a way to set it up that would allow me to use large images that actually WOULD require scrolling. I see the Smart Resize option -- which would be good for those images that I want people to see all at once -- but I am selling comic books and I'd prefer to not have the pages too small to read.
Right now on my blog, the lightbox add-on I use allows you to scroll the lightboxed image. You can see an example of this on this page (just click one of the images):

I'm again trying to think of good ways to allow my customers to view larger images -- namely sample comic book pages I would like them to read -- using HoverBox.

I read this thread almost line by line. I have Image handler and HoverBox3 installed along with other mods. The hover affect in image handler works fine, but I also use the image handler to upload additional images to the products. Now the Additional images are not showing in the product info page. I tried to remove the script for this mod and they showed up again but I lost the hoverbox. Is it possible to have both of the additional images and the hoverbox to work in the same environment.
Also when the image is enlarged the window the navigation will display 1/2images when there is only one image for the product. That applied to every single product on the store.
Upgraded my ZC v. 1.3.7 from HoverBox 2 to HoverBox 3.
Everything works nice (I also have IH 2 installed) - no conflicts.
The only problem (someone did have the same problem in this forum but it never got answered) that I get no rounded corners in Internet Explorer, they do work fine in Firefox. I tried to clear cache but it didn't help.

Never mind. While working with this updated version HoverBox3 I notices that it also generates page errors in IE, also slightly misalligns product page spacing, causing a tiny glitch there when it is loading. Too bad that iChoze people are in general not very responsive to issues... I reversed back to HoverBox2 which is working fine (no rounded corners though but I wasn't getting them anyway in IE...)Quote:

I have had Hoverbox 3 working superbly now for some time... until now!
I decided I wanted some of my banners to be rotating images that fade in and out using jscript.
I decided to use the "Ultimate Fade-In Slideshow" script available here : http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamici...nslideshow.htm
I placed the main function in my jscript director (after removing the <script> tags) and called the function from the banner HTML code.
It worked just fine but only for the index page! Whenever you tried to click on a product it would crash IE7 with an "Operation Aborted" error. However it worked fine with Firefox and Safari!
With the help of a fellow zenner (cheers Tony) we managed to whittle it down to a conflict with mootools being used by Hoverbox. If you disable Hoverbox 3 it works just fine in IE!
He even went as far as finding a link with instructions on how to fix the problem.

When I click "larger image," Some large pictures come with Product Titles & Product Prices normally, but some large pictures don't.
I've try to uninstall & reinstall, but it doesn't help.
Having an issue with Hover Box 3, the rounded corners and the close do not show up in firefox or IE...

And it still looks like the rounded corners are missing.. the corners are rounded it just has little black lines at each corner.
I have a bit of a quirky issue:
HoverBox 3 is running perfectly for me on my custom template... However, on the default template (classic green), there is no overlay at all, and the alpha on the "close" button is apparently forced to zero.
Everything else loads and displays perfectly as far as I can tell, and I can still click the "close" button on the HoverBox, but it is apparently invisible, and there is no overlay appearing at all...
Any ideas why this would be? I have un-installed and re-installed HoverBox several times, and I have double-check and re-copied all of the files back into the folders for both templates. I'm stumped...?

This is a great contribution, and its working perfectly in all browsers I checked except the new, most recent version of IE 8.
When I click in a picture in IE 8, instead of displaying the Hoverbox effect, it simply opens a new tab and shows the picture.
Interestingly, if I put IE 8 in "compatibility" mode, it works.
How can I solve this issue?

As much as I dislike Internet Explorer, still the more wide-spread of browsers out there --- noting with HoverBox that using Internet Explorer 8 that the images pop into separate windows, rather than the kinder (and gentler!) windows being generated on Firefox.
Using zen v.1.3.8 and believe the HoverBox 3 edition as well here.
Does anyone have any work-arounds for moding HoverBox to also effectively work on IE8 at all?

Does anyone have a working copy of this module? I have downloaded it from the creators website and I'm getting an error that the file is either an unknown format or damaged and wont let me extract it. I have tested it a while ago with 1.3.7 and it worked great and wanted to test with 1.3.8 but I have misplaced the DL files. I see that there is a browser issue has anyone resolved it?

I found out that my winrar software wasn't working correctly after a new windows update so now I can extract the files but has anyone found a solution to the IE8 issue?
i just downloaded the Hoverbox zip and it says it corrupted, is there a good link for this??
It happened to me as well and I downloaded the winrar trial and it unziped. For some reason after the last windows update my winrar quit working... :blink: Im not going to use untill someone finds a fix for the IE issue though. There is a module called lightbox that is the same thing and its in the downloads section im trying that.

I'm having an issue with HoverBox and IE. I notice that somebody's posted an issue above, but this seems to be different.
Product info page:
Firefox - Works fine.
Chrome - Works fine.
IE8 - Stops loading past the header.
IE7 - Stops loading past the header, I also get an "internet explorer cannot display this page" error message popping up.
If I view the source of the IE pages, all the code is there, right down to the </body>
Not sure what's going on here. Anyone experienced this at all?
Okay, it's got something to do with the Yahoo tree ajax menu I have installed on the site.
Will investigate this more.

Right. After some investigation, I have uncovered that yes, the yahootreemenu is the cause of this problem.
I've googled "ie8 error" and "lightbox" and a fair few results are showing. Something about the dom ending and starting in the wrong place.

Why didn't you put a download link? :( I noticed I can download it for free from iChoze but the zip files (both 2.2 and version 3) gives an "unexpected end of archive" error msg....kinda weird...tried redownloading but the files are just bad uploads it seems. So hmm...where can I get a proper package of this addon? ;)

I have HoverBox3 and TPP on several sites and the large image does not work with IE8 on any O/S.
FF, Chrome, Opera all work just fine.

The problem is the Javascript in the original ic_effects.js
I replaced it with the latest original versions of prototype/scriptaculous
To make it work in IE8 do the following:
Delete
includes/templates/YOURTEMPLATE/jscript/ic_effects.js
Upload:
includes/templates/YOURTEMPLATE/jscript/effects.js
includes/templates/YOURTEMPLATE/jscript/prototype.js
includes/templates/YOURTEMPLATE/jscript/scriptaculous.js
Replace
includes/modules/pages/product_info/jscript_hoverbox.php
Replace this jscript_hoverbox.php also in:
includes/modules/pages/document_general_info
includes/modules/pages/document_product_info
includes/modules/pages/product_free_shipping_info
includes/modules/pages/product_music_info
includes/modules/pages/product_reviews
includes/modules/pages/product_reviews_info
includes/modules/pages/product_reviews_write

I tried the fix for IE8 but then HoverBox is not working anymore with older version of IE... I tried it with IE6. I didn't have any IE7 on my hand but I am pretty sure it is same problem as it does not work with IE8 compatibility mode.
Not much progress at all.
Yes, the solution doesn't work on IE6 and IE7.
Hope we can resolve this issue soon...
This is most difficult part that's bugging me lately :(
