You could always download both modules and using a file merging program compare the files needed for both modules to see this for yourself.. (I doubt they share any files)

Is it soup yet??? Why yes kids it is..:laugh: For those who've asked, Super Orders 3.0 is now available for your viewing enjoyment..

Dunno yet if there will be a new support thread for v3.0 (I am hoping so.. wanna make sure I ask the admins BEFORE just doing it all willy nilly).. I will of course post here if this happens..

Lastly I want to ask a SMALL favor.. When posting bugs/issues it's a WHOLE LOT more helpful to resolve if you post details. Just saying "it's broken" does not provide nearly enough information to help you resolve your issue. Please provide as MUCH information as possible including the version of Zen Cart you are running, the version of the module you are running, any other add-ons you may have also installed, and hosting/server information (PHP versions, mySQL versions, etc)

Because folks like nohart did this we were able to FINALLY figure out WHY direct credit card and PayPal refunds worked from the default orders.php, but NOT from super_orders.php. As a result this is FIXED in v3.0..:clap:

Anyway.. carry on.. Enjoy the new version..

• Customer comments modified to incorporate the latest Zen Cart 1.3.9 functionality/format
• Packing slip images are now a simple on/off admin configurable option.
• Batch print functionality has been expanded to include PDF invoices!! Options for the invoices are admin configurable
• Split orders has been improved to help shopowners easily reconcile a split order. Creates a parent and child order. Paid split orders will display the grand total paid for both parent and child order. For orders paid via PayPal, Authorize.net or Linkpoint, the admin payment panel will not display on the child order.
• Order total and customer address edit features have been removed in their entirety. (use Edit Orders if you need order/customer address editing functionality)
• Added missing shortcut icons on the orders listing screen. Now there is a corresponding shortcut icon on each order line that matches the buttons that appear in the sidebox.
• Restoration of missing default Zen Cart orders.php functionality. This now allows payment processor generated (PayPal, Authorize.net or Linkpoint) refunds to now be processed within Super Orders. (no longer requires the retention of the default orders.php to process PayPal, Authorize.net or Linkpoint refunds)
• AUTO PAYMENT FOR ORDERS PAID VIA PAYPAL!!!!!!! 'Nuff said...
• Improved graphics and buttons to SPRUCE UP the Super Orders UI
• If you have Edit Orders installed, you can enable Edit Order in the Super Orders admin to enable Edit Orders buttons in Super Orders (No code merging required.. Simply install Edit Orders and "turn on" Edit Orders in the Super Orders admin!!)
• If you have Ty Package Tracker v3.0 installed, you can enable the Ty Package Tracker fields for Super Orders (No code merging required..) Simply install Ty Package Tracker and "turn on" Super Orders from the Ty Package Tracker admin!!)

Let me stress something here so that it's CLEAR.. With regards to the mod integration: You are NOT required to install ANY of Edit Orders, Ty Package Tracker, FedEx Automated Labels or USPS Click-N Ship to use Super Orders..

BUT...

If you are running any of these mods, you don't have to tear your hair out trying to get the correct Super Orders code merged into the Super Orders files to use these mods.. Install them as normal and TURN IT ON in the Super Orders admin (Ty Package Tracker will need to be turned on in the Ty Package Tracker admin)

In support of this new release there are updates to Edit Order and Ty Package Tracker that will also be submitted to the downloads.. (See the Ty Package Tracker and Edit Orders respective support threads tomorrow for details on those updates -- PLEASE do not ask non Super Orders related questions here..:smile:)

Lastly we are also supplying the properly merged files need for those running FEC and COWOA. (no admin flags for these mods.. simply use the provided pre-merged files for these mods)

what version of COWOA did you put into super orders, one of the reasons i'm asking is that there is a lot of cowoa code missing from includes>classes>order.php.
is it handled differently in super orders?

Ok, haven't had this unique set of convergences until now. CLIENT w/ Zen 1.3.8, and a variety of add-ons, but the salient ones are super order 2 and sales report 2.

This particular CLIENT has a select CUSTOMER base each of whom receives a Gift Voucher for the year to go again their purchases from CLIENT. CUSTOMER orders online, uses the GV and pays the balance (either paypal or via check). However, some of the items are CLIENT in stock and some are pre-orders, so... CLIENT uses super order to SPLIT PACKING list and ship in-stock items.

Here's the rub... Original order A (let's say for three items $100, $150, $250 = $500) uses GV (lets say for $200), so order shows correctly, $500-$200 = $300. CLIENT ships item 1 ($100) and then separately item 2 ($150) - two shipments CHILD B & C respectively. The split child orders ALSO shows the GV amount in full as being taken off. So SPLIT ORDER B shows $100 - 200 for a bal of -$100, SPLIT ORDER C shows $150 - 200 for a bal of -$50.

The original GV was exhausted correctly in the ORIGINAL ORDER A, and the CUSTOMER does NOT magically get another $150 in credits, BUT all three orders A,B & C appear in the SALES REPORTING as does the GV (THREE TIMES). This arbitrarily and incorrectly increases the amount of the GOODS VALUE, the GV USED total AND incorrectly decreases the ORDER TOTAL.

A 1 3|diff $500 $200 $300
B (split) 1 1|-- $100 $200 -$100
C (split) 1 1|-- $150 $200 -$ 50
totals $750 $600 $150

The ORIGINAL ORDER VALUE is $500, not $750, the ORIGINAL GV USED was for $200 not $600, and the total CASH IN was $300, not $150.

Is there a step I'm missing to tell CLIENT to do as ADMIN? (ie edit the child in someway, apply payment to child) OR is there a patch or a way to filter out the child orders in reports? Is this fixed in later versions and I just missed it?
