Or do I have to put all folders in similar or like directors (admin to admin) includes to includes, etc. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I can't access google in tools. I'll attach the directions that came in the unzipped folder.Install
1.Unzip and upload all files to your store directory (except .sql files);
2.Chmod feed directory to 777
3.Go to Admin->Tools->Install SQL Patches and install googlefroogle.sql by copying and pasting (do not upload);
4.Go to
http://base.google.com and create/sign to your account. Follow the link on the right hand side of their website to create your FTP account.
5.Go to Admin->Configuration->Google Base Configuration and setup all parameters;
6.Register your bulk upload .xml file using the same name in your Google Base Configuration at base.google.com
7.Go to Admin->Tools>Google Base Feeder and follow instructions to create, view, and upload feed file.
I am not sure I understand you completely...but if you changed the name of admin folder to another name THEN you would upload the admin files to YOUR admin folder. This would the case for all add-ons just for future reference.
For example, if you renamed your admin folder to "flowers" then you would upload the admin directory (google feeder) to "flowers".
The other files that came with google base feeder would go in the appropriate folders.
Once you have upload all the files to the correct directories then you would install the sql patch.
Additionally, do you have a google merchant account?
If not, you need to register with them, create an user name & password. That username & password would then be added in YOUR google admin configuration.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
Wow this is a long thread - My question to add to the growing list ;)
--
We have a client who is working with an SEO company who is highlighting the need for the URLs being send to Google to have TAGS added.
=========
"The destination URLs that are generated from the site in to XML format which is then uploaded into Google Base need to all have Analytics tagging on all the URLs.
Here is a link to the URL builder so you know how to construct URLs for analytics tagging:
- http://www.google.com/support/analyt...n&answer=55578
- Campaign Source: Google
- Campaign medium: Shopping Feed
- These are the only parameters that can be tracked in the URL but this will allow us to see the data in analytics.
=========
Any insight into whether this is possible (or is planned to be possible) with the GoogleBase module?
Thanks in advance
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
Why only produce 7500 products
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
I set up the Google Base Feeder as the instructions said.
When I clicked to create, it gave me the error page saying "The webpage cannot be found".
I installed and uninstalled many times, but I still get the same error.
Here is One big question (hoping I might get an answer from)
How does the .htaccess file in /includes/ directory look like ?
Mine is like:
<Files *.php>
Order Deny,Allow
Deny from all
</Files>
Is it supposed to be that way ?
Is the "Deny from all" something to do with the error ?
Thanks in advance:(
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
First what is the best mod for adding your products to google base? There is google base feeder (froogle) and there is RSS feeds.
Second, it seems like many people have trouble with this, just by looking at the 200+ pages of comments. Does it work well? I have alot of customization on my cart, will that mess things up?
Finally, I have some products in my cart for sale and other item not for sale. They are different as defined by the product type. Will the RSS feed pick up all of them or can I tell it to just pick up the ones for sale?

First, did you chmod the feed folder to 777?
I believe the file is not being created for several reasons.
1. Do you have a google merchant account?
2. Did you add your name & pw within the google configuration?
If you did all that that under Tools/Google Feeder you would view and then create.
Let me know if you need anymore help.
Bridgett.
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
Hi Bridgett,
Yes, the feed folder is 777.
Even though I get the error, it always created domain_products.xml in feed dir. But it created about 1500 products only when I have more than 3000 products there.
Yes, I have a google merchant account.
and I added my name & pw within the google configuration.
I still get the same error "Paige not found"
Thanks,
Paul

This is only a suggestion. Rename the .xml file under your admin/google configuration.
If you are using CAPS...google does not like it in the title. So change that.
Are you using any type of quotations?
24" x 24"
If so, you need to change that.
Let me know the results.
Re: Google Base Feeder Support Thread
Oh man!
I used the double quotations alot on the Titles and Descriptions.
It might be the problem !
Thanks,
Paul
